Daisy Grant smiled faintly and t Dawn Sutherland’s gentle eyes, feeling a warm sensation in her heart.
At that mont, an angry voice echoed from the office entrance: "What are you doing?"
Daisy and Dawn simultaneously turned around to see Aidan Sutherland standing at the door, his face clouded with gloom.
Daisy and Dawn were crouched closely together on the floor. From Aidan’s perspective at the door, their bodies appeared too close, instantly igniting his fury!
His fiancée being affectionate with his half-brother was sothing intolerable!
Aidan stord forward in a rage, yanking Dawn up and glaring at him, saying, "That’s your sister-in-law! Dawn Sutherland! Haven’t you had enough? Did you forget my warnings? I told you to stay away from Daisy!"
Daisy imdiately stood up, hastily explaining, "Aidan, it’s not what you think. I just ca over to catch up with so friends and see if Second Young Master Sutherland’s company needed any help with their opening! Aidan, let go of him!"
Daisy was truly afraid that, in a mont of impulsiveness, Aidan would actually hit Dawn.
Aidan, still angry, was completely ignoring Daisy’s words, gripping Dawn’s shirt tightly, his eyes cold. "Dawn, you have no right to take what’s mine! Don’t forget your place!"
"What the hell! Aidan, do you want to fight? Let go of Second Young Master Sutherland, I’m telling you! If you start sothing, I’ll pick up a chair and smash you!" Nico Haynes exploded with anger, jumping up and shouting at Aidan.
Aidan pretended not to hear.
Dawn glanced coldly at Aidan and spoke dismissively, "Let go!"
"Dawn, don’t push to destroy you! You have no right to take what’s mine! You’re just the Sutherland’s illegitimate child, while I am the rightful heir! It’s who is engaged to the Grant Family, not you! Do you think an illegitimate child is worthy of Daisy? Worthy of being with the Grant Family’s darling?"
"Aidan!" Daisy’s face turned pale, "Let’s talk about this outside!"
The employees outside Second Young Master Sutherland’s office were already casting occasional glances over. She didn’t want to tarnish her second brother’s reputation at his newly established company, especially since Aidan had just revealed all of his personal secrets!
This was Second Young Master Sutherland’s company, and Aidan just loudly called him an illegitimate child and insinuated inappropriate relations with his future sister-in-law—
Any of those could damage Second Young Master Sutherland’s image!
Evalian Chapman looked at the nacing Aidan, still gripping Dawn, and snapped, "Aidan, are you insane? Stirring up trouble ti and again at your brother’s company, is that how a brother acts? With so many people in the office, what exactly has Dawn done to your fiancée? Are you just looking for trouble?!"
Dawn shot a look at Daisy’s uncomfortable face, wanting to retaliate against Aidan, his fingers clenched into a tight fist, yet he held back, his joints paling from the effort.
What Aidan just said was biting, and he wanted to hit back, but doing so in front of Daisy would an confronting her fiancé. He didn’t want to put Daisy in a difficult position, so he restrained himself.
Dawn’s gaze swept coldly over Aidan, "I’ll say it again, let go! Aidan, you can doubt , but Daisy is your fiancée, your soon-to-be wife! Please, show her so trust!"
If you can’t even give Daisy this basic trust, Aidan, are you being fair to her?
"Daisy and my affairs have nothing to do with you! Dawn, you think you can climb up the social ladder through your sister-in-law? Think you can use the Grant Family to elevate yourself? I’m telling you, you have no such right! With your status as an illegitimate child, you’ll never stand on equal footing with the Grant Family’s jewel!"
"Aidan, say that again?"
Dawn’s voice was icy, devoid of any warmth, cuttingly cold.
