If she had been more careful, none of this would have happened! If she had kept an eye on Aidan Sutherland, Nico wouldn’t have been frad!
Daisy Grant swiftly went upstairs.
Walking through the guest rooms on the upper floor, Daisy searched one by one, her expression frantic.
She didn’t dare make a loud call, afraid that soone downstairs at the party with malicious intent would hear and bring harm to Dawn Sutherland!
After knocking on several guest room doors without any response, a slightly opened door to the right caught Daisy’s attention.
Daisy quickly walked over, gently pushed the door open, and sidestepped inside.
The room was very dark, devoid of any light; there were no lamps, and the curtains weren’t drawn.
Daisy stepped inside.
Listening to the faint sound at the door, Dawn Sutherland, who was lying on the bed, sat up. In the pitch-black room, he couldn’t see her face, and he spoke softly, "Did Nico ask you to co? Close the door."
As soon as Daisy entered the room, the darkness made her feel a hint of fear, and the sudden voice startled her!
Instinctively complying with the command, she closed the door—
The door made a slight sound, bringing Daisy back to her senses from her tension.
Wasn’t it Nico who spoke just now?
So, is Nico in this room?
In a mont of distraction, a familiar scent entered Daisy’s nose, making her body stiffen.
Nico—it’s Nico.
In the pitch-black room where one can’t see their hand in front of their face, Dawn Sutherland leaned close to the newcor.
He quickly removed his coat, speaking coldly, "I had no choice but to ask Nico to find you. As for the paynt, don’t worry, you won’t be short-changed, but you can’t reveal a single word about today’s events! Also, touching you is a last resort; after tonight, we settle this between us with nothing more to discuss—I don’t want you hanging around !"
Daisy hadn’t yet grasped the aning of his words and hadn’t had ti to speak when her wrist was suddenly grabbed, and she was pulled into Dawn’s embrace.
Daisy’s nose hurt from the collision, and just as she planned to lift her hand to rub it, Dawn’s broad fingers ca down over it...
"..."
Daisy didn’t even have ti to cry out in pain; Dawn’s actions made her body freeze.
Recalling Dawn’s words before entering the room, Daisy bit her lip, her eyes flickering.
Nico—mistook her for a woman Nico had brought to solve his needs!
Just as Daisy was about to call out to Nico, a cold sensation spread through her body; she realized that during her daze, Dawn had done sothing to her.
Nico’s fingers were burning, touching her skin, causing Daisy’s whole body to tremble violently, and in the dark room, her face turned crimson....
And in the room, perhaps because of the high temperature within Nico’s body, the air conditioner was set very low, making Daisy shiver where she stood.
"Are you cold?" Dawn’s cold voice rang out, carrying a trace of suppressed hoarseness.
Daisy instinctively nodded.
The room temperature was so low, she really was freezing.
Dawn picked her up.
The action was swift.
Even though the room was dark, Daisy could sense an icy coldness in his gaze.
Being sched against, Nico’s heart must be stifled and angry, yet not knowing who hard him, right?
Just as Daisy was about to speak, Dawn’s voice, devoid of warmth, echoed.
"Rember, after this, we settle it between us; I have soone I care for, and I don’t want us entangled!"
Daisy sat up, just about to say she was Daisy Grant, but Dawn’s movents blocked all her escape routes, making Daisy tremble violently.....
