"Young Master Seys--" Valeria Johnson saw him co over, imdiately stepping forward with a bright smile, looking charming.
Arlo Seys didn’t even glance at Valeria Johnson, walked around her, and stopped in front of Ariel Morris.
Valeria Johnson’s expression instantly beca twisted and ugly, she looked back at the direction Arlo Seys was heading.
Ariel Morris was picking up paper cranes, her legs impossibly long; she looked up and saw Arlo Seys appearing within her sight, very close.
She moved her lips but said nothing, and continued to lower her head to pick up her things.
A faint mint scent entered her nose, and just as Ariel Morris reacted, she saw a pair of fair and beautiful fingers pick up the paper crane in front of her and hand it to her. A soft, low, and pleasant voice said, "Your things."
Ariel Morris took the paper crane and raised her eyes to look at the person who crouched down. Even squatting, there was a noble aura in his every move that was overwhelming, making people admire him imdiately.
She pressed her lips together and gently called, "Arlo Seys."
"Hmm?"
"You’re really handso!" Especially his warm-hearted action of helping pick up paper cranes, so handso!
"..." Arlo Seys’s hand picking up paper cranes paused for a mont, pressing his lips without speaking.
People at the party were all watching the two silently picking up paper cranes.
After picking up all the paper cranes, Ariel Morris held a storage box, looking at those trampled on the ground, her eyes showed so sadness.
Arlo Seys looked at her, usually a man of few words, but suddenly asked, "Why so many paper cranes?"
Ariel Morris pursed her lips, handed the storage box over, her voice shy, "Arlo Seys, these are for you. I originally folded 1001, but so were ruined."
Arlo Seys glanced at the paper cranes crushed on the ground, "1001?"
Ariel Morris nodded, her gaze firm, "Yes, 1001, it’s your birthday gift. It’s said that receiving 1001 paper cranes can make a wish co true!"
Arlo Seys reached out to take the storage box, asking casually, "You folded them?"
"Yeah, I folded them, it took a week! Each one was folded by personally!"
No wonder she hadn’t co to bother him for a week, he thought she had given up, thought she realized her feelings for him were just infatuation, not love, so she gave up pursuing him.
And now, he realized she spent the week folding paper cranes for him.
paper cranes, Arlo Seys held the storage box, silently reciting 1001, his heart stirred slightly.
Why did he feel her 1001 carried other anings, not just the simple 1001 can make a wish co true?
"1001 paper cranes can make a wish co true?" Arlo Seys whispered softly.
Ariel Morris nodded seriously upon hearing this, "It surely can." She looked at him, her eyes curious, "Arlo Seys, do you have any wishes? Today is your birthday! Happy birthday."
His wish...
The hand Arlo Seys held the storage box with unconsciously tightened slightly, his eyes lowered, his expression sowhat dazed.
"Hmm, if I were Boss Seys, my wish would be for you to never appear again, Ariel Morris, you’re really persistent!" Nico Haynes walked over with a playful smile on his lips.
Behind Nico Haynes followed the always gentle Dawn Sutherland.
"Brother Dawn." Ignoring the venomous mouth of Nico Haynes, Ariel Morris smiled sweetly at Dawn Sutherland behind him.
"Ariel." Dawn Sutherland smiled warmly, "You were really thoughtful, folding a thousand paper cranes for Arlo, it’s a very special gift."
