"Okay."
The doorway.
Evan Seys and Veralina Quinn, who were just planning to visit Jorge Saxton, quietly retreated and turned to Arlo Seys’ ward.
Arlo Seys, who was signing docunts brought by Callan Walkers, heard the noise and glanced at the people entering, his parents. He asked, "Weren’t you going to visit Jorge Saxton? Why did you co back?"
Evan Seys and Veralina Quinn exchanged a glance and walked to Arlo Seys’ bedside to sit down.
Veralina Quinn hesitated for a mont and spoke in a deep voice, "Arlo, Ariel Morris is blind, will her eyes get better?"
Arlo Seys handed the signed docunt to Callan Walkers and shook his head lightly, "It’s uncertain for now."
"And the toxins in her body, are they gone?" Evan Seys asked.
"No, they’re not." Arlo Seys glanced at his parents, "What do you want to say?"
Evan Seys paused, then spoke in a steady voice, "I heard from experts that the toxins in Ariel’s body might pose a life-threatening risk at any ti. And now she’s blind, have you thought about your future? Thought about what lies ahead?"
Arlo Seys understood the aning behind his parents’ words, his expression remained calm, "I have already envisioned my future with her. Without her, I haven’t thought about it, nor do I need to. Without her, there’s no need for to have a future."
That statent made his stance clear.
Ariel Morris is Arlo Seys’ future. Without Ariel Morris, Arlo Seys has nothing.
Evan Seys and Veralina Quinn looked into Arlo Seys’ determined eyes, exchanged a look, and said no more.
Arlo Seys spoke in a low tone, "I know you’re doing this for my sake, every parent plans for their children. I hope you treat Ariel as your own daughter, love her even more than you love ."
"She lost her mother young and was adopted by those unscrupulous people, Damien Morris and Laura Pinley. Her past was unfortunate. I hope the Seys Family can provide her warmth."
"I’m marrying her into the Seys Family. Even if we were to part, I hope you cherish her from your hearts more than you do ."
"Mom, if sothing were to happen to you today and Dad were to give up on you, how would you feel?" Arlo Seys said, looking at Evan Seys, for once calling him Dad, and spoke in a calm tone, "If sothing were to happen to Mom today, Dad, would you abandon her?"
Evan Seys glanced at his wife and promptly responded to his son, "Nonsense, the Seys Family doesn’t produce scum! Abandoning a wife is sothing we would never do!"
Satisfied with her husband’s firm response, Veralina Quinn nodded in approval, a smile on her face.
Arlo Seys smiled faintly, nodded in agreent, "Exactly, the Seys Family doesn’t produce scum. We would never abandon our wives. I can’t bring sha to the Seys Family."
Evan Seys and Veralina Quinn: "..."
Did they just fall for their own son’s trick?
Arlo Seys looked at his parents earnestly and said, "In this lifeti, I only recognize her as my wife. Apart from her, I will want no one else. It took eight long years of longing to finally have her return to . This ti, I won’t let her leave, no matter what. I also hope that no matter how long she lives, even if she’s blind for life, the Seys Family can be her shelter, truly treating her as a Seys Family mber. She is my wife, Arlo Seys’. As long as you recognize as your son, please also recognize my wife."
Veralina Quinn remained silent for a while, "Arlo, I understand."
Evan Seys looked deeply at his son, "So what use are sons! When they grow up, they bring back a partner for us to take care of!"
Veralina Quinn laughed, "Evan, you should think of it this way: having a son is great, one son brings one more, when they grow up, they bring back a daughter for us!"
