"Why? Daisy, your body is so cold and still trembling..." Sophie Brown hadn’t finished her sentence when her fingers were pinched.
Her gaze shifted to her daughter who was signaling her, her eyes deepening.
As Selah Sutton was about to call the hospital, her phone rang first; it was Aidan Sutherland’s number.
Sophie received Daisy’s hint. Although she didn’t understand why, the mother-daughter bond quickly revealed her daughter’s intent. She planned to stop Selah from making the call, but Selah answered it first.
With Selah’s "Aidan," an icy chill crept from Daisy’s toes to her entire body, instinctively gripping her mother’s hand, her whole body weak and cold.
"Yes, I’m with my future in-laws helping Daisy try on wedding dresses... And you, this child—Daisy is pregnant with sothing so big you didn’t say anything... What?"
Selah paused for over ten seconds, her expression suddenly turning very grave, her gaze shooting straight to Daisy with a sharpness in its depths.

Selah, having hung up the phone, walked straight towards Daisy, her face stern and severe.
Daisy held her mother’s hand tightly, her eyes evasive, not daring to et Selah’s gaze.

Selah approached, her eyes and face cold, "Madam Grant, I think our two families need a serious discussion about the children’s marriage. Before that, we’ll take Daisy to the hospital for an examination right away!" Selah’s tone was full of anger and coldness. After speaking, she turned and walked out, ignoring the Grant mother and daughter.
