Daisy Grant arrived at the hospital room and paused, rembering the angry look on her father’s face when he saw her.
Her father didn’t want to see her. At this mont, if she went in, it would only worsen his condition.
As Daisy hesitated, conversations broke out inside.
"President Grant, are we really going to hand over the Joycity project to the Sutherland Clan? This project is sothing our Grant Clan has been planning for six months. Now if we hand it over to the Sutherland Clan, aren’t we giving all our hard work away for nothing?"
The voice speaking was not unfamiliar to Daisy; it belonged to Travis Forest, the secretary general from her father’s company.
As Daisy was lost in thought, Roo Grant’s voice rang out.
"Give it to the Sutherland Clan... just do as I say..."
Roo’s weak voice echoed in Daisy’s ears, and suddenly tears slipped down her cheeks.
"Old Grant, this project is one you’ve always valued! You even said you wanted to use this project to achieve new highs for the Grant Clan! You’ve poured so much effort into this project, I can’t bear to give it to the Sutherland Clan! We have to apologize to the Sutherland family, but we can’t just give it away like this! Daisy stepped back two steps, a chilling coldness surged through her body, and she quietly withdrew from the hospital room.
She didn’t have the face to appear in front of her parents. It was she who caused the Grant Clan to lose its most important project.
