Sophie Brown nodded, gave a faint smile to Dawn Sutherland, and shed tears, "Now I can be at ease, Dawn, Old Grant and I thank you. You should go eat sothing, I’m not feeling up to it."
Dawn knew that Sophie, Mother Grant, was deeply missing Father Grant, Roo Grant, and with a heavy heart, he nodded and quietly left.
When Dawn opened the door and casually closed it, he noticed Daisy Grant standing by the door with reddened eyes.
Daisy had intended to call Dawn and her mother for dinner. Hearing the conversation inside, she stood at the door silently crying, and Dawn unexpectedly opened the door, capturing the scene of her tears directly in his eyes.
Looking at Daisy’s deep red eyes, with tearless tears flowing silently, Dawn felt a needle-like pain and heartache. He reached out, took Daisy’s hand, and led her to their bedroom.
Daisy’s fingers were gently held by Dawn. She kept her head down, not wanting him to see her tear-streaked, sorrowful face.
The sound of the door closing made Daisy realize they had unknowingly returned to the bedroom.
"Dawn, if she hides in the room to cry when sothing happens, could you give her a hug, so she doesn’t have to bear everything alone, is that okay?"
Sophie’s words echoed in his ears, and Dawn’s eyes deepened as he looked at the silent, head-bowed Daisy in front of him. Reminded of her red eyes when he opened the door earlier and now the slightly trembling, repressed figure in front of him, all of it made Dawn’s heart ache to the extre!
Suddenly, Dawn embraced Daisy, his lips brushing her hair tenderly, eyes misty with tears, his voice hoarse: "I’m sorry, Daisy."
He felt sorry for leaving her alone at the wedding. When he asked about the wedding scene after he had left from Ariel, her reply, ’she cried,’ pained him deeply.
And today, hearing from Mother Grant how she left the wedding hotel alone and cried in the snow on the street, the pain surged through him like a tidal wave.
The girl he wanted to protect and cherish, on the day he married her, he foolishly left her alone at the wedding, letting her cry alone in the snow.
On that day she cried, she also watched her father pass away from an illness, yet he wasn’t there beside her, not finding her in ti to be with her.

At this mont, Dawn felt imnse remorse for himself and deep heartache for Daisy, who he loved dearly from their innocent childhood to this day as his wife. He felt he had failed Daisy’s ten plus years of companionship and help.
But later, Dawn realized that what he owed Daisy was far more than this.
What Dawn owed Daisy was a debt he couldn’t repay in this lifeti!
The girl he claid he would protect and never allow anyone to hurt, yet he was the one who inflicted the most pain and suffering on her...
Knowing everything, Dawn hated himself to the point he almost wanted to take a knife to himself...
Of course, this is a later story.
In that instant, Daisy was suddenly embraced by Dawn, her eyelashes gently fanned, and in a hoarse, trembling voice, she called out: "Second brother..."
With Daisy’s trembling voice calling him ’second brother,’ Dawn’s arms stiffened as he held her.
