The winding smoke lingered around his stunning face, making his whole visage appear elusive yet endowed with a unique charm.
But Jinxuan saw clearly, saw his captivating, tear-brimd peach blossom eyes red, uncertain whether it was from the smoke or sothing else.
Jinxuan’s heart suddenly thrumd like a drum, assaulted by a sense of fear, as if she feared Nangong Jin and didn’t know how to face him.
Instinctively, she wanted to flee, but then she wondered why should she, since she was nobody to Nangong Jin.
"When did you co out?" Jinxuan frowned.
Nangong Jin took a deep drag of his cigarette, his long fingers pinched the cigarette, pulled it away from his lips and slowly blew out a ring of smoke, then mocked with a roguish smile, "Just got here."
As he spoke, he lowered his gaze, stepped forward, and pulled Jinxuan into his embrace, "What were you talking to your old fla about just now?"
For so reason, the ntion of it unexpectedly sent a pang through his heart.
"What old fla." Jinxuan’s brow wrinkled, "Don’t talk nonsense."
Hearing this, Nangong Jin’s mood lightened, he couldn’t resist pecking a kiss on her cheek, his smile bewitching like a demon, shalessly saying, "Wife, I’ve missed you."
Jinxuan’s face flushed, and she couldn’t help but hit him lightly, "Don’t call that."
Nangong Jin, grinning from ear to ear, slung his arm over her shoulder as they walked, teasing, "Wife, you’ve never heard your husband call out to you. Do you want to hear it?"
Jinxuan’s face turned beet red. Damn, could this guy get any more shaless?
This was just too much!
"I don’t want to hear it." Jinxuan pouted.
The two had just rounded a corner when they abruptly bumped into another person.
Upon seeing who it was, Jinxuan frowned. Another rabbit!
This rabbit was Shi Mo; he was called that because his eyes were also red.
He seed panicked at suddenly being seen by them, quickly lowered his gaze, and respectfully said, "Miss Jinxuan, Young Master Nangong."
"You’re here too, Shi Mo." Jinxuan greeted him warmly with a wave.
Shi Mo raised his gaze, his eyes landing on Nangong Jin’s hand.
Nangong Jin, unabashed and intimately draped over Jinxuan’s shoulder.
"Yes." He hurriedly lowered his gaze again, "I’m just wandering around, happened to pass by."
"Oh." Jinxuan nodded, then suddenly added, "Do you want to walk with you for a bit?"
Shi Mo hasn’t been to this estate before.
Shi Mo looked up, his eyes suddenly filled with joy, but before he could speak, Nangong Jin said, "Just get a servant to show him around, wife. Let’s go to the front hall; Alvin wants to challenge to a drinking contest."
No sooner had he spoken than he whisked Jinxuan away with force, leaving Shi Mo to stare at their retreating backs, his eyes reddening further.
He quietly lowered his gaze and walked away, his steps unbearably heavy.
Miss Jinxuan, if even the Bo Family’s young master feels unworthy of your happiness, what right do I have?
Young Master Nangong must like you a lot.
Two rivals suddenly appearing made Nangong Jin very displeased.
Jinxuan, being dragged away forcibly, was even more upset, struggling as she protested, "Why wouldn’t you let stay with Shi Mo?"
"Why stay with him?" Nangong Jin’s face darkened, suddenly playing the victim, "Wife, I’m injured, still drumming, drinking... don’t you feel sorry for ? To get you an autograph, Alvin now wants a drinking bout with —don’t you feel moved at all? And here you are wanting to keep company with other n, wife, your heart is so cruel."
Jinxuan: "..."
