The two actually did go to sleep, but they were unaware that a few rooms down, the nightlife was just beginning!
Di Xiaxia, Di Mingzhe, Gu Qibao, and Di Mingjue, along with Di Mingchen, Nangong Ran, and Alvin were leisurely sitting on the balcony of Di Mingzhe’s room, basking in the moonlight, drinking tea, eating fruits, playing Fight the Landlord, and enjoying the spectacular night-ti sea view.
Actually, Di Xiaxia had originally planned to pretend to be sick very professionally in her room, but when Di Mingchen ran over to look for Di Mingzhe to play and coincidentally pulled Alvin in as well, she couldn’t resist the urge to join in on the fun.
So she gave up on pretending to be sick, and after a while, Gu Qibao and Di Mingjue ca sneaking over as well.
Finally, Nangong Ran also arrived in a sneaky fashion.
So that’s how their nightlife had just gotten started!
Mainly, it had been a long ti since they had taken a cruise to sea, and the sea in the Empire was a port, not particularly beautiful as it was mainly for comrcial use.
However, having not visited in a long ti, they still found the night sea very beautiful, feeling an itch not to miss out.
Their cruise was in a specially designated mariti area where comrcial ships were forbidden from passing through or docking.
Yet on the cruise, they could see these glowing rchant ships still bustling about at night, a lively and prosperous scene on the vast ocean.
So, not wanting to miss out on such a view, frolicking on the balcony of the room as the night fell was indeed a very pleasant thing to do.
Moreover, it wasn’t particularly late at the mont, just about to be midnight.
Feeling good and comfortably enjoying themselves, they naturally didn’t care about the ti.
But as they played, Di Mingzhe glanced at everyone and asked in a slow and deliberate manner, "Should it be about ti now?"
Di Mingjue checked his watch and nodded, "It should be about right."
Di Mingchen put his cards down, "Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go."
"What are you guys up to?" Gu Qibao asked, baffled. Weren’t they playing Fight the Landlord? Where were they going?
Could it be to catch Brother Jin?
Gu Qibao swallowed.
Hadn’t she agreed with Di Mingjue not to go?
Apparently, the brothers had planned to play dirty!
Gu Qibao pursed her lips and glanced at Di Xiaxia.
Di Xiaxia also pursed her lips and feigned a yawn, "Where are you guys going? Oh my, I’m so sleepy, big brother, let’s sleep, it’s really late."
Di Mingzhe was stunned and looked at Di Xiaxia, the words "you rest first" lingering on his lips, but ultimately, he coughed, unable to voice them out.
In the end, Di Mingzhe could only say, "Well, forget it, Xiaxia is sleepy, we’ll go to sleep first, you guys go ahead."
Di Mingchen and Di Mingjue nodded their heads.
Gu Qibao blinked, still confused, "Honey, where are you going?"
"Sothing ca up," Di Mingjue glanced at his watch and gently patted her head, "You go back to the room first, and your husband will return in five minutes, okay?"
Gu Qibao continued to look puzzled, this sneaky plan indeed played out well.
After thinking for a mont, Gu Qibao obediently nodded, "Oh, okay then, but rember, you said five minutes, it can’t be too late."
"Okay," Di Mingjue replied without hesitation.
Just as he and Di Mingchen took a couple of steps away, Gu Qibao suddenly let out a "Aiyo."
"What happened!" Di Mingjue imdiately turned around and quickly walked back.
"It’s nothing, just a little headache and dizziness. Probably from the sea breeze blowing for too long," Gu Qibao pretended to rub her temples and considerately said, "You go ahead, don’t mind ."
Di Mingjue thought about it. How could he leave his wife, who was expecting twins, alone?
Ultimately, he had no choice but to say reluctantly, "Then I won’t go. You guys proceed, I will accompany Xiaoqi back to the room."
