Sotis, watching her brothers tease Nangong Jin, who wouldn’t fight back, she’d feel incredibly touched. The feeling of being enveloped in such dense love brought her imnse happiness and peace.

Di Yan looked on contentedly at the two sitting on the couch, one as handso and exquisite as jade, the other sweet and tender, gentle and serene—a perfect match made in heaven. His heart swelled with joy.

A good daughter, a good son-in-law, a good son, a good daughter-in-law, and soon a grandchild on the way, such happiness was unmistakable.

Then, seeing their tightly held hands, Di Yan’s heart filled with delight, and he couldn’t help asking, "You two are dating now, right?"

Di Jinxuan was startled and quickly withdrew her hand, "Not yet."

Nangong Jin was also taken aback. Damn, the wife can’t pull a move like that!

Isn’t this considered dating?

Seriously, your dad even forcefully gave us a "health class"; isn’t this dating?

She still won’t acknowledge him!

The flashy old man imdiately turned mournful, a handso face full of grievances as he glared at Di Jinxuan, just glaring at her.

Di Jinxuan blatantly ignored his woeful face.

Di Yan, also a bit surprised, couldn’t help asking, "So what is your relationship now?"

"We’re still in the evaluation period," Di Jinxuan honestly replied.

Di Yan raised an eyebrow, quite pleased, "Hmm, not bad."

It seems his daughter wasn’t the kind of foolish, infatuated woman after all.

Nangong Jin’s face looked even more aggrieved, and he couldn’t help but whine, "Wife..."

"Alright now," Di Yan cut off Nangong Jin’s words, stood up happily, and said cheerfully to Nangong Jin, "Since you’re still in the evaluation period, I won’t keep you overnight."

Nangong Jin: "..."

What kind of logic is that?

Nangong Jin was utterly depressed but had to stand up, politely saying, "Alright then, Uncle Yan, I’ll be heading back."

"Sure," Di Yan nodded and, smiling radiantly for so reason, said, "Then, Xuanxuan, see Xiaojin out."

"No need," Nangong Jin shook his head, refusing, and smiled, "It’s just a short walk; I can go out on my own."

Di Yan nodded and didn’t insist, "See you around."

"See you," Nangong Jin said politely, "I’ll be off then, Uncle Yan. I’ll co over to play chess with you another day."

"Great," Di Yan was pleased and turned to leave without dwelling any longer, obviously in a very good mood.

"So I’m going ho now, wife," Nangong Jin then said to Di Jinxuan.

Before Di Jinxuan could reply, he casually turned and waved his hand, "Wife, goodnight."

Di Jinxuan blinked, feeling sowhat surprised. He actually didn’t insist on staying? That didn’t seem like his style. Could it be that he was angry?

Di Jinxuan watched his tall figure leaving with a slight frown, suddenly feeling a bit uncomfortable inside. Nangong Jin must be upset.

Sitting on the couch, Di Jinxuan’s eyes darkened slightly, and she felt a tad unwell in her heart—it was because she sensed his anger.

Could it be that he felt bullied by her family?

Thinking about it, the Di Family was indeed very dominant. Even from an outsider’s perspective, she could tell that Nangong Jin had a tough ti pursuing her.

It was like he was the beleaguered son-in-law who ca knocking!

Damn, was she suddenly feeling sorry for him?

Was she also a bit in the wrong here?
