"No rush." Gu Chun shook off her hand and bead. "I’ve already prepared everything for you."
With that, Gu Chun produced a pill. "This is the morning-after pill. Take it quickly."
Facing the pill Gu Chun held out, Gu Qibao quickly grabbed it and swallowed it down whole. Instantly, she felt a great relief wash over her.
The intense tension and anxiety suddenly lessened. Gu Qibao, weakened by the relief, flopped onto the bed. "I can finally sleep well tonight."
"..." Gu Chun looked at her disdainfully. Gu Qibao had slept as peacefully as a log last night, oblivious of her predicant.
"Do you really not want to have Di Mingjue’s child?" Gu Chun nudged her.
"Hell no!" Gu Qibao replied, utterly bewildered. "Why would I want to have his child? He’s not even paying . What do I gain from bearing his child? Surrogates get at least tens and hundreds of millions for each pregnancy!"
Seeing Gu Qibao’s obliviousness, Gu Chun couldn’t help but give her a rap on the head. "You idiot, if you marry him, you won’t just get tens and hundreds of millions. You’ll have billions! His eldest brother is about to beco president, and his second brother is in the military. Doesn’t that make your heart race?"
Gu Chun even made the pose of a torchbearer for emphasis.
