But he didn’t care at all. He curled his lips into a gentle smile, kissed her forehead, and said, "Awake?"
"Mm." Di Jinxuan’s face turned slightly red.
He had co ho late last night and spent the entire night entangled with her in bed. Neither of them knew when they finally fell asleep, and now they couldn’t even tell what ti it was.
Di Jinxuan instinctively turned over, reached for her phone on the nightstand, and took a look. As soon as she saw the ti, she panicked—oh no, it was already ten in the morning!

Di Jinxuan, being a young woman, was still sowhat shy. Considering they weren’t officially married yet, her face imdiately flushed bright red. She hurriedly said, "Get up, quickly. It’s late."
"Alright." Nangong Jin nodded, understanding exactly why she was embarrassed. Without dawdling, he got out of bed.
He teased her while glancing at her snow-white, partially covered body and said unhurriedly, "So, wife, am I having breakfast here at your place, or heading back to eat?"
Di Jinxuan’s face turned even redder at his words.
Nangong Jin chuckled, watching her patiently as he waited for her response.
Having breakfast at her place would an, well, Fang Hao and Di Yan would realize they had just gotten out of bed late—naturally thinking about what might have happened. This, in turn, subtly confird Di Jinxuan’s acceptance of their relationship.
Di Jinxuan hesitated for two seconds before finally nodding, "Let’s have breakfast at my place."
Nangong Jin’s face blood into a broad smile instantly, and he planted a smacking kiss on her cheek. "Alright."
After getting dressed, when the two were about to leave the room, Nangong Jin’s phone suddenly rang.
"It’s Xiaowu calling. Should I answer? Should I answer? Should I answer?"
Without hesitation, Nangong Jin took the call.
"Master," Xiaowu greeted respectfully, though his tone quickly grew somber, as if hesitant to speak. "Master, about last night’s situation... there might—might be so loose ends."
"Oh?" Nangong Jin’s brows furrowed imdiately, surprise and suspicion flashing across his face. The matter from last night had clearly been dealt with, so how could there be any loose ends? Could it be sothing went wrong on the poison trade’s side?
After a brief pause, Nangong Jin raised his brows and responded succinctly, "Speak."
"Yes," Xiaowu nodded and said, "That Miao old man hasn’t been dealt with because he ntioned he has an older cousin who plans to harm Madam as well. We didn’t dare act recklessly, so we’ve detained him and are awaiting your decisions."
Upon hearing Xiaowu’s report, Nangong Jin’s brows furrowed even tighter, and he asked anxiously, "Is it true?"
"It’s true," Xiaowu replied, sounding distressed. "I imdiately reached out to the poison trade and had them investigate. They confird it—there *is* soone from the Miao Family who slipped through the cracks. So for now, we’re holding back and awaiting your orders."
Nangong Jin sucked in a sharp breath—damn it, there’s still soone who slipped through!
It seed that this old Miao man had co to him through careful planning and ticulous arrangents!
Still, this loose end wasn’t sothing he considered to be a major threat—firstly, because the poison trade’s resources and power were substantial; secondly, the so-called older cousin ntioned by the old Miao man wasn’t even in the capital. How could he possibly harm Di Jinxuan with his poison?
There was also the possibility that the old Miao man was bluffing. Either way, it didn’t seem threatening enough to worry about—what’s more, the old Miao man’s grandson was currently in the hands of the poison trade.
