"She’s my younger sister." Di Mingjue replied, seemingly proud.
The cousin was dumbfounded by his answer. "She’s your younger sister? Then who are you?"
"You’re not qualified to know my identity." Di Mingjue answered with utter disdain. Then, without warning, he erupted into action. His long legs swung forward, landing a vicious kick squarely onto the cousin’s chest, sending him sprawling backward along with his chair. He crashed to the ground, disheveled and groaning in agony.
Di Mingjue raised an eyebrow arrogantly, sneering with disdain, "Hitting soone like you truly dirties my hands."
That’s why he opted for kicking instead. Yes, that’s how it should be!
The cousin writhed on the ground, struggling to prop himself up. He sat there, not daring to confront Di Mingjue. After all, he was already in his fifties, an old man—how could he possibly take on the young, strong Di Mingjue?

The cousin let out a blood-curdling scream, reminiscent of a slaughtered pig’s wail.
Di Mingjue, however, seed utterly deaf to the cries. His expression grew even more ruthless as he snarled coldly, "When you people cursed an innocent twenty-year-old girl, did you feel a shred of guilt? What did she ever do to you that made her deserve such a venomous curse? If I don’t kill you today, it’d be a waste of my trip."
Hearing the ntion of death, the cousin beca even more terrified and hastily shouted, "This is the state capital! Y-you can’t just do as you wish. Let’s talk this out, talk this out."
"The state capital?" Di Mingjue raised an eyebrow. "Do you believe when I say I could kill you here, and the Governor wouldn’t dare utter a single word?"
The cousin’s face instantly turned ashen, and he couldn’t hold back anymore. He broke into uncontrollable sobs. "Who the hell are you people? Why are you doing this to an old man like ? I was wrong, I admit it. Please, let go. This has nothing to do with ; I was simply following orders."
"It’s too late to say all this now. When you cursed her back then, you should’ve known the consequences." Di Mingjue stared expressionlessly at the weeping, wailing cousin and said, "You knew it was wrong, yet you did it anyway. Now that you’ve done it, you need to be ready to bear everything that follows—including death."
As he spoke, he pressed his foot down even harder, nearly crushing the cousin’s fingers entirely.
"rcy! Have rcy!" The cousin could barely cry out anymore. The excruciating, searing pain from his crushed fingers soaked his entire body in cold sweat.
The excruciating pain of having one’s fingers crushed underfoot was beyond words. At that mont, the cousin genuinely wanted to die to escape it all.
"rcy?" Di Mingjue raised a frosty eyebrow. "You’re not worthy of saying those two words."
And with that, instead of letting up, he pressed down even harder.
This filthy old man used these very hands to curse Xuanxuan, didn’t he? Fine. Then he would make sure to destroy those hands—brutally, rcilessly!
