Nangong Ran watched as Gu Qibao walked away alone, unable to suppress a surge of both anger and regret. Tears fell freely as he shouted at her retreating figure, "We don’t need to be friends then! Who cares! Gu Qibao, I don’t want to be your friend anymore!"
Gu Qibao’s shoulders grew taut, her already brisk pace quickening even more, she virtually ran off.
Nangong Ran, you heartless beast! Can’t you even try to soothe with a few words?
As she entered the classroom, her irritation was exacerbated by a phone call from Di Mingjue. Frustrated and inexplicably heated, Gu Qibao simply hung up the call and threw herself onto the desk.
Di Mingjue’s cool gaze narrowed, that cheeky girl dared to hang up on him, had she grown bolder?
...
The more Gu Qibao thought about it, the more frustrated she beca. Di Mingjue was like a persistent bad spirit that wouldn’t leave!
"Who is that man, he’s so handso!"
"Oh my god, how can a man be that attractive! Hey, hey, hey, he’s coming this way, he’s coming!"
The classroom’s noisy chatter only served to annoy Gu Qibao further. She covered her ears, buried her head in annoyance, and played dead.
Di Mingjue entered the classroom, his deep eyes exuding an icy chill. Despite the obvious "stay away" vibe he gave off, he couldn’t dissuade the heart-throbbed teenage girls. His tall and imposing figure, his cold yet gorgeous face, his refined and noble deanor, combined with his aloof yet captivating charm, were irresistible.
"Oh my god, he’s so handso!" The girls scread in astonishnt. Despite his aloof deanor, his inherent kingly aura was impossible to ignore. It was as though he radiated so sort of divine light.
His deep, fierce gaze slowly swept across the classroom, finally landing on Gu Qibao, who was covering her ears and burying her head amidst the crowd of swooning girls.
He strode towards her, each step flaunting a charisma that could drive people insane, surpassing even the charm of a popular movie star.
So of the girls were practically on the verge of screaming out loud.
A girl nad Lin Wan was standing in front of Gu Qibao’s desk. She was quite well-off and good-looking too.
Seeing Di Mingjue walking towards her, her heart began to pound uncontrollably.
"Wan’er, is this handso man here for you?" one of the girls asked her.
"I don’t know." Lin Wan’s face turned a delicate shade of pink, endearingly bashful.
"I think I know who he is!" soone said.
"Isn’t he a mber of the school board? One of the Di Family, the third son, Di Mingjue."
The students started to express their shock. The Di Family were incredibly mysterious and low-key, to see a family mber in person was quite a rare opportunity.
Upon hearing this, Lin Wan felt as if she was stunned silly. She shyly watched Di Mingjue as he headed straight toward her.
She had never t Di Mingjue before, but she had certainly heard of the na. In the Empire, which woman wouldn’t want to be with any of the three Di brothers?
Lin Wan did her best to compose her facial expressions, trying to appear even more elegant and beautiful. She looked at Di Mingjue’s outstretched hand, her heart nearly stopping in that mont. Was Di Mingjue here for her? Was he going to take her hand?
Just as she was swept up in her excitent and confusion, Di Mingjue unceremoniously brushed past her, his face as cold and impassive as ever, his gaze settling on Gu Qibao, who was still burying her head.
Lin Wan’s heart sunk dramatically. Was Di Mingjue here for Gu Qibao?
But then again, it made sense. After all, the Gu Family was one of the Four Great Families.
Lin Wan’s face was suddenly filled with a mixture of grievance, disappointnt, and resentnt.
With her head down and ears covered, Gu Qibao was oblivious to all of this.
Di Mingjue stood in front of her desk and tapped her head. Hurt, Gu Qibao jumped up, bellowing angrily, "Who dares to hit !" She was absolutely infuriated!
