"Is it really that simple?" Gu Qibao blinked, clearly looking skeptical.
"What did you expect?" Di Mingchen retorted.
Gu Qibao chuckled, "I thought, I thought that little puppy Nangong Ran would have tackled you to the ground."
Tackled? Di Mingchen was stunned for a mont, suddenly recalling that she indeed had tackled him before, though that tackle was best forgotten.
"No, it didn’t happen." Di Mingchen glanced calmly at Gu Qibao, "Don’t think too much about it."
Gu Qibao raised an eyebrow and pursed her lips, feeling that this wasn’t making any sense!!
Di Mingchen stopped talking to Gu Qibao, and at that mont, the banquet began, everyone cheerful and lively as they started to savor the delicacies.
Suddenly, Gu Qibao exclaid, "Second brother, where’s your coat?"
"I covered her with it," Di Mingchen replied.
Gu Qibao took a bite of the dish and nodded, eyes crinkling with a smile, "Not bad!"
At that mont, so guests ca over to toast, so Gu Qibao couldn’t say much more.
At their table were all of the Empire’s bigwigs, so naturally, guests ca over to toast and flatter them a bit.
So, the al had barely started, yet they had already drunk quite a bit. But amidst the liveliness, soone arrived.
It was Alvin!
Behind Alvin followed a group of people, the most eye-catching being the woman beside him, dressed luxuriously with a crown on her head.
Upon his arrival, Alvin seed extrely apologetic, hurriedly going up to Nangong Jin and Di Jinxuan, exclaiming, "Brother, I’m really sorry, I truly am. Sothing urgent ca up, and I couldn’t arrive on ti. I shall penalize myself!"
Nangong Jin stood up happily, not holding a grudge, "It’s good that you could co, it’s an honor."
Full of remorse, Alvin stepped forward to give Nangong Jin and Di Jinxuan a polite hug, then said, "Get a goblet, I must punish myself, I must!"
Nangong Jin couldn’t refuse him, so he had soone fetch a goblet.
Nangong Jin then bowed, "Your Highness the Queen!"
The elegant and beautiful woman standing behind Alvin flashed a warm and enthusiastic smile, speaking in quite fluent Chinese, "Jin Palace, long ti no see."
"Long ti no see," Nangong Jin hurriedly extended his hand, apologetically saying, "I didn’t know you would grace us with your presence, it’s really..."
"No," the Queen politely interrupted Nangong Jin, "It is us who were impolite, not attending on ti. It’s truly, very sorry!"
"Of course, not, you coming is truly an honor," Nangong Jin smiled, then turned to Li Hui, saying, "Mom, have soone prepare another table."

The Queen laughed, "Don’t be so formal, I just ca to offer my blessings. I feel embarrassed myself for being late, and yet you’re being so courteous."
"Then everyone, please don’t stand on ceremony," Nangong Tiancheng stood up and said, "Today, everyone here is our best friend. Hui Mother, go set up another table."
"Alright. I’ll do it right away," Li Hui nodded imdiately.
"I really didn’t expect you to co," Nangong Jin said, smiling at the Queen, then wrapped an arm around Di Jinxuan’s shoulder, "Let introduce you, this is my beautiful bride, Di Jinxuan."
"Indeed very beautiful," the Queen complinted generously, stepping forward to embrace Di Jinxuan, gently kissing her on the forehead, "Beautiful girl, may the Lord always watch over you."
"Thank you, Queen," Di Jinxuan smiled, "Your long trip here has truly surprised us. We are grateful for your special visit to bless us; Xuanxuan feels deeply honored."
