Nangong Lin was silent for a long ti, and finally couldn’t help but slap his hand, cursing, "Are you stupid!"
In her excitent, she didn’t even notice she was hitting Alvin’s hand that was receiving an IV drip.
This made things awkward.
Alvin was caught off guard and couldn’t hold back a muffled groan, which jolted Nangong Lin to her senses, gosh, gosh, gosh.
"Ah, I’m so sorry, did I hurt you?" Nangong Lin quickly apologized upon realizing, "Does it hurt? Is it, is it bleeding?"
As she spoke, she carefully lifted his hand to take a look.
"It’s okay, it doesn’t hurt at all." Alvin smiled and, with a swift motion, took Nangong Lin’s hand into his palm.
Nangong Lin was stunned, the warmth from his palm made her feel anxious and unsettled.
Even though the temperature of his hand wasn’t hot, it burned her.
"Hey, don’t move your hand!" Nangong Lin withdrew her hand and held his hand down, "If you keep moving, you’ll need to be pricked again!"
"Just like this is fine." Alvin touched her fingertip with his, his smile childlike.
Nangong Lin froze, his sowhat silly deanor left her speechless.
She didn’t say anything, nor did she oppose Alvin’s fingertip touching hers.
Her acceptance made a strong feeling burst forth in Alvin’s heart, he really liked it, really liked things being this way.
The mood was subtly perfect, but John just had to burst in, smiling brightly, saying, "Miss, I juiced so fruit for you."
Alvin’s face turned dark.
John, unaware, continued cheerfully, "Mark said His Highness shouldn’t eat anything else for now, but having vomited, his stomach is quite empty, and he can drink so milk. I’ve ward it for him, should I bring it in?"
"I, I’ll go bring it." Nangong Lin hastily stood up and dashed out of the room.
Alvin turned to look at John, full of displeasure, almost killing John with a glare.
John looked utterly confused.
Trying to curry favor with Alvin, John stepped forward and mysteriously said, "Your Highness, you could take this opportunity to have Miss feed you milk!"
Alvin thought, that does sound like a good idea!
"Then get out quickly." Alvin urged John, montarily unwilling to bicker with him.
"Yes, yes, I’ll be leaving then." John hurriedly dashed out like a rabbit.
In the living room, Nangong Lin was absent-mindedly sipping juice; she’d finish it before going to fetch milk for Alvin.
Inside, she felt a mix of emotions she couldn’t quite articulate, as if she’s really not resistant to Alvin anymore, but at the sa ti his touch was sowhat thrilling.
But!
But surely this is wrong, Alvin used to like Nangong Ran, infatuation at first sight, and liked her a lot.
Being with Alvin feels so odd!
Moreover, just thinking about how Alvin liked Nangong Ran so much makes her feel uncomfortable for so reason.
So, what on earth should she do!
John ran out, seeing Nangong Lin still sipping juice, he respectfully said, "Miss, I need to go out for a bit, could you look after His Highness?"
"Hm?" Nangong Lin raised her eyes, about to say sothing, but John went ahead, "Thank you so much, Miss."
"Hey, hey, hey." Nangong Lin called out anxiously, but John was gone in a flash, faster than a rabbit, darting out of the house.
His speed was akin to heading for a competition.
