Di Mingjue’s originally frosty and dark face instantly thawed, looking at Johnson with a triumphant lift of his brow.
"Husband!" Gu Qibao threw herself into Di Mingjue’s arms, her little face flushed pink from the sun, looking incredibly cute.
"Hmm." Di Mingjue caught her solidly, his large hand conscientiously shielding her a bit, making sure she was decent!
"Where have you been, husband?" Gu Qibao acted coquettishly in Di Mingjue’s arms.
"I had so things to discuss." Di Mingjue planted a kiss on her face, "Are you hungry? Let’s go grab so food."
"Hmm." Gu Qibao nodded, then released Di Mingjue.
Johnson stepped forward, a gentle smile on his face as he asked, "Qibao, this gentleman is...?"
He had just heard her call him husband, he knew exactly what that term ant, it signified that he was her spouse.
But he vehently rejected this thought.
This was the girl he had fallen in love with at first sight, wasn’t she just nineteen? How could she possibly be married?
You can get married once you’re an adult in C Country but not in the Empire, right?
Only then did Gu Qibao rember that Johnson was still there, and almost thought of leaving him behind just like that.
Gu Qibao gave an embarrassed smile and formally introduced, "This is my husband, Di Mingjue."
"Duke, this is Johnson, my newly made friend. He is a prince from C Country."
Di Mingjue raised an eyebrow — a prince.
Upon hearing Gu Qibao’s introduction, a sudden tightness gripped Johnson’s chest — she really ant husband.
Di Mingjue, on the other hand was composed. Even though he had a cold deanor akin to ice, he still courteously said, "It’s a pleasure to et you, Prince."
Johnson, on the other hand, took a while to react, staring blankly at Di Mingjue.
This man possessed a handso face, perfect features, and an air of nobility that matched his own. More importantly, his noble deanour was diluted with a touch of coldness, making people feel trivial in his presence.
Moreover, Di Mingjue was taller!
Facing Johnson’s montary daze, Di Mingjue coolly raised an eyebrow, just about to say sothing, when Johnson beat him to it.
"I’m glad to et you as well," Johnson answered politely.
Di Mingjue nodded, coldly stating, "My wife and I are about to have lunch, we won’t be able to accompany you."
Despite his bad temper, he wasn’t the type of person with no manners or upbringing.
After finishing speaking, Di Mingjue affectionately wrapped his arm around Gu Qibao’s waist, his voice charmingly low, "What would you like for lunch?"
Before Gu Qibao could speak, Johnson took the initiative and said, "I haven’t had lunch either. Can we join you?"
"Sorry." Di Mingjue’s thin lips lifted in a curve, speaking before Gu Qibao could, "My wife and I prefer to dine alone."
Having said that, he walked away with Gu Qibao in his arms, not giving Johnson any chance to speak further.
Gu Qibao pouted in confusion, "Why don’t we have lunch with him?"
"I don’t like it," Di Mingjue coldly spat out, why should he dine with him!
"Oh." Gu Qibao stunnedly nodded, then turned to look at Johnson again.
On the endless sandy beach where the sky ets the sea, the young man’s slender figure was tall yet lonely, a hint of lancholy in his brows prompting pity.
Gu Qibao frowned, "But he seems so lonely."
"Do you want to have lunch with him?" Di Mingjue asked in a chilly tone as he stared at her.
Gu Qibao blinked, "Not really, but he’s a new friend I just t. It’s just inviting him for a al, and you’re not even willing to do that. When did you beco so petty?"
She rembered him as being quite generous. Ever since they got married, he had even been very generous with Nangong Ran.
Nangong Ran had even ntioned that Di Mingjue had given her spending money before.
A wave of displeasure surged in his heart, Di Mingjue coldly glared at her, "Since you’re so keen to have lunch with him, then go ahead."
