"I don’t want anything." Di Mingjue grumbled, rolling off of her.
It wasn’t that he was proud, but he felt very uncomfortable; he didn’t like how Gu Qibao was singing Johnson’s praises right in front of him. It made him feel uneasy.
She said she was placating him, but where? Not even two sentences of explanation or kind words ca from her.
The biggest taboo in a relationship is comparing one’s partner to others.
No matter if it’s a man or a woman, everyone hates it when their partner compares them to soone else of the sa gender.
Faced with Di Mingjue’s ingratitude, Gu Qibao blinked, sowhat puzzled.
This montary disappointnt dampened her mood a little.
Yes, this is her husband, the forever proud Third Young Master of the Di Family.
She and Johnson were just friends, wouldn’t she even be allowed to have a male friend?
Gu Qibao felt uncomfortable, but she knew that jealousy could make people feel this way.
Just like how she was unhappy and restless when she was jealous of Di Xiaxia.
Thinking of this, Gu Qibao turned her gaze to Di Mingjue. He had his back to her, so she couldn’t see his expression. She only felt that his back view was oppressive.
It seems that it really takes skills to make peace after a quarrel!
Gu Qibao rembered when she used to be moody and the Third Young Master would always try to placate her, only to be t with her disdain.
Was this payback?
Gu Qibao couldn’t help but chuckle at this thought.
Carefully stretching out her hand, she was about to hug Di Mingjue when a knock on the door sounded.
"Who is it?" Gu Qibao asked while reluctantly getting off the bed.
"Miss Qibao, soone is looking for the BOSS," Lan Feng reported respectfully upon opening the door.
Gu Qibao was taken aback. A woman stood at the door. She was probably around twenty-five, with brown hair like seaweed, deep sparkling eyes, slighlty dark yet smooth skin, and a high nose. She wore a short black dress and stood tall and supermodel-esque.
She looked graceful, elegant and dignified, pretty, enchanting and very hot.
Behind her stood a crowd of people, all fully ard with guns and looking quite intimidating.
She was tall. Standing in front of her, Gu Qibao felt like a malnourished child.
"Who are you?" Gu Qibao asked, feeling intimidated by the people behind the woman. The situation was sowhat terrifying.
The woman did not answer but rely smiled faintly, with a hint of disdain in her eyes.
By her side was a man who looked like he was from the Empire.
The man from the Empire explained, "Our revered Princess Isabella requests an audience with Mr. Di Mingjue of the Empire."
"Oh," Gu Qibao nodded. "He... he is resting."
As soon as she spoke, Di Mingjue’s icy voice ca forth, "What business brings you to ?"
Gu Qibao turned her head to see that he had already gotten off the bed and was walking over, leisurely fastening his cufflinks. His deanor was so stylish and elegant that it was sowhat captivating.
On seeing Di Mingjue, Isabella was taken aback but quickly composed herself and spoke in a sultry voice, "Honored guest, welco to C Country."
Gu Qibao couldn’t deny the royal family of C Country had excellent manners, but she was taken aback by the woman speaking in Chinese. She had thought she didn’t know it.
Di Mingjue did not show any emotion to Isabella’s greetings and continued to be cold and indifferent, he stepped forward and emotionlessly said, "If you have business, then speak. If not, I need to rest."
Standing in the middle of the two people, Gu Qibao felt a little awkward due to her relative shortness. She unwittingly sidestepped to get out of their way.
Di Mingjue frowned, and only then did he really look at Isabella.
Isabella did not seem angry at all. Instead, she smiled elegantly and, speaking in perfect English, said, "I’ve long heard of the renowned gentleman, Mr. Di, from the architectural world of the Empire. eting you today truly does not disappoint. I want to discuss a project with you personally, would Mr. Di mind granting this opportunity?"
