Given the vertical drop of the cliff, even the foothold was not available for a descent. It was simply impossible to climb down from the edge of the cliff.
What was most crucial was that no cries for help were coming from below the cliff, suggesting a possibility that Di Xiaxia had fainted.

"Di Xiaxia!" Di Mingzhe suddenly called out, his voice icy and sowhat hoarse, "If you hear , reply with ’Big Brother.’"
But still, no sound ca from the bottom of the cliff.
