Di Xiaxia had been in a daze ever since Fang Hao and the others left.
Her mind was in total chaos.
She heard Fang Hao and Gu Qibao say that Di Mingzhe liked her, but no matter how she thought about it, she could hardly believe it.
Then she asked them if they were joking, and they actually said they were!
This confused her even more. After much contemplation and weighing up a series of factors, she eventually concluded that they must be joking.
But what was this twinge of a feeling deep within her that it wasn’t a joke!
She was so frazzled that she was out of sorts the whole day. And now, it was getting dark outside. The kitchen asked her whether she was ready for dinner, but Di Mingzhe hadn’t returned yet.
She asked the kitchen to wait for a bit, but Di Mingzhe didn’t return.
Her mind full of wild thoughts and her stomach grumbling in hunger, she finally decided to eat first.
She moved from the hospital to the main dining room. Sitting on the chair, the waiter respectably served the prepared als before her, arranging them nicely, and respectfully announced, "Miss Di, dinner is served."
"Hmm." Di Xiaxia nodded, taking the spoon handed over by the waiter in preparation to eat.
All of a sudden, the waiter pushed a bowl of soup towards her. "Miss Di, this soup was specially ordered by the lady for you. She said you’ve been injured and need to nourish yourself."
This was ordered by Fang Hao later on the phone, saying that Di Xiaxia could drink so.
The kitchen had no choice but to comply.
"Oh." Di Xiaxia nodded, taking a spoonful of soup and tasting it, her eyebrows imdiately knitting together. "What’s this taste?"
"Most nourishing soups taste like this." The waiter smiled, "For your wellbeing, you should drink so."
Di Xiaxia did not speak but took another two spoonfuls. She found it unbearably bitter and said, "That’s enough, I have had so. You can take it away."
Seeing her resolute, the waiter no longer pressed on with the matter and respectfully nodded, "Yes."
Di Xiaxia used her left hand to hold the spoon awkwardly as she ate. As she ate, she contemplated what Fang Hao had said before. Should she speak to Di Mingzhe herself about the arranged eting that Fang Hao ntioned?
Di Xiaxia was in a dilemma.
While in her quandary, a strong voice rang in the main hall, "Greetings, Commanding Officer."
Had Di Mingzhe returned?
Unconsciously, Di Xiaxia craned her neck to look over.
At the grand entrance of the spacious and majestic main hall, a man was confidently walking in, casually loosening his tie and passing it to the security guard.
His face, clear as the moon, seed a bit tired but still stunningly outstanding. Di Xiaxia was sowhat stunned.
"Sir, have you had your al?" The butler quickly ca forward and asked.
"Not yet." Di Mingzhe slightly loosened his tight tie and cast a glance at Di Xiaxia in the dining room, who was looking right at him.
However, as soon as she t his gaze, she quickly averted her eyes and pretended to be nonchalant, continuing to eat her al.
