So Nangong Ran bluntly said, "My third brother likes Di Jinxuan, and wants to marry her."
Gu Qibao was startled and nearly fell off her chair.
Imdiately, she excitedly grabbed Nangong Ran’s hand. "Holy crap, is this for real?"
"Of course, it’s true!" Nangong Ran earnestly nodded. "My mom personally told about this. She asked to help my third brother and even promised to buy a limited-edition pink Remington when it’s done."
"Wow, that’s a hefty price to pay." Gu Qibao’s eyes widened. "So this thing is for real?"
"You bet it is." Nangong Ran smirked, instantly bursting with excitent again. "I knew those two had a secret affair!"
Gu Qibao excitedly nodded. "An affair indeed! So, how do you plan to help your third brother?"
"If I knew that, would I be asking you?" Nangong Ran gave her a look. "I ca looking for you for advice."
At this point, Gu Qibao’s face fell. She candidly said, "This might be pretty challenging, seriously challenging!"
"The Duke was the first one to disagree, wasn’t he?" Nangong Ran guessed imdiately.
"Yeah." Gu Qibao nodded in agreent, holding her face in her hands, in deep sorrow. "Not just disagree, more like, he is ready to beat my brother if he pursues Xuanxuan."
"Whoa, that’s ferocious!" Nangong Ran was taken aback, trembling with fear. He lanted, "Emma, it was already a challenge for my third brother to sincerely fall for soone. But the difficulty level is so high, how do we manage this?"
"It’s okay, it’s okay." Gu Qibao hurried to comfort her. "In fact, this issue ultimately depends on Xuanxuan. We can’t be of any help anyway. And on top of that, she wouldn’t say what happened with Brother Jin. So, I think we should just call it a night. This is up to Brother Jin now. The best I can do is plead with my husband to be lenient when dealing with Jin."
"That’s brilliant!" Nangong Ran smacked her thigh with approval. "Gu Qibao, you have to make sure your husband doesn’t go too hard on him."
"Sure, no problem." Gu Qibao nodded her head, filled with righteousness. "Given our deep friendship, I will surely help your brother. Don’t worry."
"Okay." Nangong Ran agreed.
But Gu Qibao suddenly seed to rember sothing. She smacked her forehead and asked, "Wait, doesn’t Bo Chenghe like Xuanxuan?"
How could she suddenly forget this problem?
"Yes, he does." Nangong Ran nodded.
Gu Qibao was stunned. "Where is he, then?"
"He left the country." Nangong Ran calmly replied. "He went abroad without a word."
Gu Qibao scratched her head. "Damn, he left so quickly! Didn’t he fall in love with soone else, did he?"
"I’m not sure about that." said Nangong Ran. "But think about it. The difficulty level is already so high for my third brother to pursue Di Jinxuan. Do you think Bo Chenghe stands a chance?"
Gu Qibao blinked her eyes. This was indeed a stark reality. Whether or not he had a chance, she wasn’t sure, but his hopes seed to be fading away.
"Let’s not even talk about the family background and such." Nangong Ran earnestly said. "With that disaster of a sister he has, would the Di family allow Di Jinxuan to marry Bo Chenghe? Move into their house? I believe Aunt Fang probably wouldn’t be that crazy."
"Sigh." Gu Qibao sighed. "In the end, I’m the one to be blad for this, aren’t I?"
"What does that have to do with you?" Nangong Ran shot her a glance. "That’s the Bo family reaping what they’ve sown! But I do feel sorry for Bo Chenghe."
"Yes." Gu Qibao nodded, feeling sowhat sorrowful. "He really isn’t much of a friend. He left the country without a word, not even a goodbye. He tossed aside our friendship of twenty years just like that!"
