"Not afraid," Di Mingzhe said as he set down his wine glass and walked over to Di Xiaxia’s side. He sat down and lifted a hint of a smile. "Since it’s inconvenient for to appear at your school at the mont, I’ve invited him over."
"Ah!" Di Xiaxia’s eyes widened.
"He should be arriving any mont," Di Mingzhe said, glancing at his watch.
Di Xiaxia: "..."
Before she had a chance to say anything, the butler walked in from outside and said respectfully, "Your Excellency, the person you invited has arrived. He’s at the door."
"Let him in," Di Mingzhe said succinctly.
"Yes," the butler nodded and respectfully departed.
Di Xiaxia blinked, "Did you really call him over?"
"He has harassed you to such an extent, how could I not step in to resolve the issue?" Di Mingzhe looked at her and asked in return.
Di Xiaxia touched her nose; indeed, it was ti to deal with it. She had worn out her lips talking in private, and that boy, as if afflicted with a sort of obsession, was truly exhausting to deal with.
Soon, the boy was brought in. He was completely clueless and entered under the escort of two guards, looking very frightened.
The luxurious splendor and magnificent grandeur of the place intensified his fear.
Until he saw Di Xiaxia.
"Xiaxia!" he exclaid excitedly, wanting to rush forward, but he was restrained by the two guards.
Imdiately, his face turned a bit pale, and he couldn’t help but ask, "Why are you here? Did you get involved with so big shot? Don’t be scared, I’m here for you."
Di Mingzhe’s smile was faint as he seed to take on the air of a knight in shining armor.
Di Xiaxia was helpless and just about to speak when Di Mingzhe already began, "My wife, even if she has gotten into so trouble, it shouldn’t have anything to do with you, right?" he said to the young man.
The young man was startled and did not imdiately catch on.
What?
His wife?
The young man narrowed his eyes in confusion, looking at the man sitting on the sofa, whose distinguished composure exuded tranquility.
That face was serenely beautiful, captivating him to the point where he montarily forgot himself.
It took him a while to co back to his senses before he said in surprise, "Xiaxia, this is... this is your...?"
"My husband," Di Xiaxia lifted a smile and answered, "Didn’t I tell you long ago that I’m married?"
The young man still seed unable to believe it.
Di Mingzhe spoke again, "Are you aware that your behavior has constituted serious harassnt of my wife? I could completely sue you for harassnt right now, but considering you are still a student, I’ll let it pass. I called you here today to tell you that my wife is married and cannot accept anyone else’s pursuit."
The young man’s eyes widened in shock, speechless for a long ti before managing to stamr out, "Really, is that true?"
As he spoke, he looked toward Di Xiaxia.
"Really," Di Xiaxia nodded, reaffirming it once more.
The young man’s deanor deflated like a punctured eggplant, but he still appeared sowhat incredulous.
Di Mingzhe once again broke the silence, "If you have doubts, you can look at our marriage certificate. I’ll let this incident slide, but if you continue to harass my wife, I assure you I will pursue it to the fullest extent."
Perhaps it was the imposing aura emanating from Di Mingzhe that caused the young man to shiver involuntarily. He glanced around the palatial room that resembled a palace and asked, "Who, who exactly are you?"
Why are there guards standing outside the door, and a succession of posts inside as well?
He was just a student and had never encountered such scenes before. When he first entered, he even thought that the place was a movie set, just a scene being arranged.
