Jayden stepped into the loading bay calmly and activated Dragon Eye, scanning the six n one by one to see if the quest would be sothing he could handle without stress. And from the levels and abilities he could see... he knew the fight would be over quickly.

The man who’d sneered at Jayden earlier saw him and was surprised that he still had the guts to walk in just after telling him to piss off.

"Are you deaf, kid?" he muttered. "I said keep walk—"

"No." Jayden cut him off.

The single word carried enough weight to make all six n pause and turn toward him.

"We got a problem here?" The apparent leader—a muscular man in his thirties with a shaved head—stepped forward.

Jayden walked forward. "Yeah, we do," he sighed. "The thing is... I have to stop you guys from doing whatever it is you’re doing. I honestly didn’t want to interrupt at first, but now... I do."

The leader scoffed. "This isn’t so cartoon, kid," he stepped forward. "If you don’t leave now, you’re gonna get seriously hurt."

Jayden chuckled. "That’s funny. I was just about to say the sa thing."

The leader frowned. "Okay, that’s it. I’m gonna teach you a lesson." Energy crackled around his fists, a clear sign he was an evolved human. "You picked the wrong night to play hero, kid."

"I’m not a hero," Jayden said calmly, rolling his shoulders. "I’m just here to complete a quest."

The leader’s face twisted in confusion for a split second before he lunged, fist trailing lightning.

Jayden sidestepped the attack so casually it looked choreographed. His counter-punch caught the man in the solar plexus, driving the air from his lungs and sending him flying across the bay. He collided with the truck and dropped to the ground, already unconscious.

The other five n reacted imdiately. Two had energy-based abilities—one shooting compressed air blasts, another manipulating tal. The remaining three were physical enhancers, their muscles bulging as they activated their powers.

But Jayden wasn’t fazed.

The n were all level 30-35. Against a normal opponent, maybe a rookie EVA agent, they might have had a chance.

But against Jayden, they were children playing at war.

The air-blaster fired first. Jayden weaved through the projectiles like they were moving in slow motion. Then he closed the distance in seconds, and delivered a strong blow to the man’s jaw. He crumpled to the ground and passed out imdiately.

The tal manipulator tried to trap Jayden by wrapping steel cables around his legs. Jayden flexed, and the cables snapped like thread. His kick caught the man under the chin, lifting him off his feet and sending him crashing into a tal crate. The impact knocked him out cold.

The three physical enhancers ca at him together, coordinating their attacks with surprising skill. But didn’t matter. Jayden was operating on a completely different level.

The three n charged as one, their enhanced muscles rippling with raw power. The first, a burly guy with veins popping like cables, swung a massive haymaker aid at Jayden’s head. The second flanked him, going low with a sweeping kick to take out his legs. The third hung back a beat, ready to pile on once Jayden was off-balance.

Jayden leaped over the sweeping kick, then imdiately brought his foot down like a hamr on the attacker’s extended leg.

KRRRRRKK!

The bone shattered with a wet crunch, the man howling as he collapsed, clutching his ruined limb.

Then Jayden spun mid-air, catching the first enhancer’s punch in his palm. With a twist of his wrist, he redirected the force, slamming the man’s own fist back into his face. Nose cartilage exploded in a spray of blood, and the enhancer staggered back, dazed.

The third one saw his opening and bull-rushed Jayden from behind, arms outstretched to grapple and crush. But Jayden felt the attack coming. Without turning, he extended his hand and activated his telekinesis. An invisible force seized the man mid-stride, lifting him off the ground like a ragdoll. The enhancer’s eyes widened in shock as he dangled helplessly, limbs flailing.

Jayden clenched his fist, and the telekinetic grip tightened,

compressing the man’s ribs until they cracked audibly.

"AAAAAHHHH!" he scread in pain.

Then with a casual flick of his fingers, Jayden hurled him into the warehouse wall. The impact echoed like thunder, embedding the man in the dented tal siding. He slid down, unconscious, blood trickling from his mouth.

The first enhancer, still reeling from his self-inflicted punch, tried one last desperate lunge. Jayden t him with a knee to the gut that folded him in half, followed by an elbow drop to the back of the neck. The man hit the concrete face-first, teeth scattering like dice, passing out cold.

The one with the broken leg was crawling away, whimpering, but Jayden wasn’t about to let the quest go unfinished. He strode over with zero effort, grabbed the man by the collar, and delivered a precise chop to the base of his skull.

Lights out.

The warehouse fell silent, save for the distant hum of the city outside. Jayden surveyed the scene—six bodies sprawled amid the crates, none dead but all thoroughly broken. He flexed his hands, not a bruise or scratch on him.

He stood there for a mont, waiting for a certain notification to pop up in his face. But it never showed.

Jayden frowned. "Hey Luna, is the system broken? Where’s my reward?" he asked impatiently. "I already completed the quest, didn’t I?"

[Hmmm... no, you didn’t] Luna humd. [Not exactly]

Jayden raised a brow. "What is that supposed to an?"

[It ans you didn’t stop them] Luna said. [The quest objective was to stop the smugglers, Jayden. Defeating them temporarily isn’t enough. They could wake up, recover, and resu their operation. To truly complete it, you need to ensure they can’t continue—bind them if necessary or maybe just alert the authorities]

Jayden groaned, kicking a loose crate in frustration. "Seriously? The system should’ve been more specific from the start," he grumble. "’Stop the smugglers’ could an a dozen things."

[Clarity is earned through experience] Luna snickered. [You have to learn to adapt]
