The hallway was thick with tension, the air almost suffocating as the remaining thugs stared at Liam in shock.
One of them—his face pale and his hands trembling—suddenly pointed a shaking finger at Liam. His lips parted in horror as he stamred out in disbelief.
"Y-you...!"
Whatever words he wanted to say never ca, because the very next second, he lunged forward with a roar.
That was all it took.
As if his attack was so kind of signal, the others rushed in after him, their eyes burning with rage and hostility.

Amanda's heart nearly leaped out of her chest as she saw them charge at Liam all at once.
They were going to kill him.
She opened her mouth, ready to scream, but—
Liam moved.
To him, everything slowed down.
The first thug's fist ca flying toward him.
Liam tilted his head just slightly to the side, the punch barely grazing past his cheek.
Before the man could react, Liam's hand shot out like lightning, catching his wrist in a vice grip. The thug's eyes widened in shock.
Then—
Liam's knee smashed into the man's stomach.
THUD!
The force of the impact sent him crashing backward, his body folding like paper. A strangled gasp left his mouth as he dropped to his knees, clutching his stomach in agony.
But Liam wasn't done.
His golden eyes flicked to the next one—another thug already mid-swing, his fist aiming straight for Liam's face.
Liam twisted his body, allowing the punch to graze harmlessly past him before retaliating with a brutal kick to the side of the man's knee.
CRACK!
The thug howled in pain, his leg buckling beneath him. Liam followed up imdiately with a sweeping kick, knocking his legs out from under him.
The thug collapsed hard onto the ground.
Liam was already turning again, his senses locked onto the next attacker.
But this ti, sothing was different.
There was a gleam of tal.
Liam's pupils shrunk.
A knife.
It was already swinging toward his throat.
For the first ti in this entire fight, a brief flicker of fear crossed Liam's mind.
This wasn't so street brawl anymore.

He saw his life flash before his eyes in that split second, and he knew—
If he ssed up here, he was dead.
The thug's knife was inches away.
Liam didn't dodge.

From the corner of his eye, Liam saw the last thug charging in from the other side.

Just at the very last second, Liam flicked his wrist, catching the attacker's knife hand and redirecting its path.
The man's montum betrayed him.
He had already put too much force into his attack, and with the sudden redirection—
His body lurched forward, completely off balance.
Liam didn't hesitate.
His foot shot out, slamming into the thug's back.
The man stumbled violently forward—
Straight toward the other thug charging at Liam from the right.
The second thug's eyes widened as he saw the knife rushing straight at him.
Too fast to react.
Too close to dodge.
SHHK!
The blade sank into his stomach.
A sickening squelch filled the air, followed by a sharp scream.
"AHHHHHH!"
Amanda clamped a hand over her mouth, her body paralyzed as she watched in horror.
The thug who had stabbed the other froze in place, his breathing ragged.
His hands were still on the knife.
His fingers trembled.
His face paled.
He had just stabbed his own friend.
The injured thug's legs shook violently as he staggered backward, clutching at the handle of the knife still embedded in his stomach. His breathing turned shallow.
Blood was already seeping through his clothes.
Liam watched the scene unfold with cold, unreadable eyes.
Then—
The one who had done the stabbing snapped.
With a horrified scream, he turned on his heel and ran for the door.
His footsteps pounded against the floor as he bolted down the hall, disappearing into the night.
Liam didn't bother chasing him.
Instead, he finally exhaled, his sharp golden eyes shifting toward Amanda.
She was still standing there, frozen.
Her expression was one of shock, disbelief, and sothing else—sothing she couldn't quite put into words.
Liam cocked his head slightly.
"What?" he asked casually, as if he hadn't just taken down an entire group of thugs by himself.
Amanda's lips parted slightly, but no words ca out.
She had no idea what to say.
