Now reading: Chapter 410 Irina Vs Liam from Lust System: Conquering the World Beauties, a Fantasy novel by opulyn7.

Liam’s fingers tightened around Irina’s throat.

His grip was firm, controlled. Not crushing, but strong enough that she could feel the pressure imdiately. His other hand locked around her waist, fingers digging into her side as he pulled her close, keeping her body pinned against his.

She was trapped.

At least, that was what Liam thought.

A slow smile ford on his face.

"I guess I won."

For a brief mont, Irina did not resist.

She did not struggle. She did not panic. Her eyes stayed calm, almost amused, as she looked straight at him.

Then she moved.

Her hand snapped up and grabbed his wrist. Before Liam could react, she twisted sharply, using her shoulder and hips together. The movent was sudden and violent.

POP!

Pain exploded through his arm.

"Ouch!"

Liam’s fingers loosened instantly as his wrist bent in a direction it was never ant to go. His grip on her throat broke, his hand jerking back on instinct. Before he could even step away, Irina’s boot ca down hard on his leg.

CLAP!

The impact sent a sharp jolt through his knee. Liam stumbled back, teeth clenched as he clutched his twisted wrist. He had not expected that level of aggression. Not from her.

He barely had ti to straighten.

A warm hand pressed against his neck.

Not squeezing. Just resting there.

Sharp claws tapped lightly against his skin. A warning. One wrong move and they would open him up.

Irina stood in front of him now, close enough that he could feel her breath. Her eyes glowed faintly red under the moonlight. A slow, confident smile curved her lips.

"I guess I won, huh?"

Liam lifted his eyes to et hers.

She had cheated. Plain and simple. That twist, that stomp, the timing. She had crossed the line of a clean duel. He knew it. She knew it too.

But he did not bother saying it.

He was not in the mood to argue rules with soone who clearly did not care.

Irina rolled her eyes as if she had already heard his thoughts.

"Don’t," she said. "I know exactly what you’re about to say."

She pulled her claws back slowly. The sharp tips receded, her fingers returning to normal. The pressure on his neck vanished as she stepped back half a step.

Then she extended her hand toward him.

"Give your hand."

Liam hesitated, then raised his injured arm. His wrist was bent at an ugly angle. Every small movent sent a dull ache through his bones.

Irina took his hand carefully, her grip firm but gentle. She adjusted her hold, eyes focused.

Then she twisted sharply.

POP!

The joint snapped back into place.

Liam sucked in a sharp breath as pain flared again, then quickly faded. He rolled his wrist slowly, testing it. Once. Twice. He clenched his fist, then relaxed it.

After a few seconds, he dropped his arm and looked at her properly.

"Now that I’ve lost the duel," he said, voice steady, "what is your request?"

Irina’s smile disappeared.

Her posture changed. Her shoulders straightened, and sothing heavy settled into her expression. This was no longer playful. No longer a ga.

"We need your help," she said.

Liam frowned slightly. "Help with what?"

She drew in a breath, then spoke carefully. "We underestimated the vampires."

That alone was enough to make him listen.

"They are not just strong," she continued. "They have numbers. More than we expected. Entire packs are being overwheld. Territory after territory is falling."

She clenched her fist briefly, then relaxed it.

"We are losing."

Liam shook his head slowly.

"I don’t have the resources to fight soone else’s war right now," he said. "I have my own problems. I already said the vampire conflict is not mine."

Irina’s jaw tightened.

"No," she said quietly. "I should not be doing this. I should not be saying this."

She stepped closer, lowering her voice.

"But we are desperate."

Liam stayed silent.

"The vampires are fully freed now," she said. "No restrictions. No limits. No rules holding them back. They are moving openly. Hunting openly."

Her eyes hardened.

"They are killing innocent people."

Liam’s expression remained guarded.

"Not in small numbers," she added.

He waited.

"There have been confird reports," Irina continued, her voice steady but strained, "of over one hundred people dead."

Liam’s eyebrow lifted.

That number was higher than he expected.

Irina did not stop there.

"Twenty of them were children."

The words hit harder than any blow she had landed earlier.

Liam froze.

His body stiffened, breath catching in his chest. He lifted his head slowly, staring at her as if he had misheard.

"What?"

Liam almost could not believe what she had just told him.

Children.

Those sick bastards were killing children too.

The thought made his stomach twist. He had seen cruelty before. He had dealt with monsters wearing human faces. But this was different. This was lower than low. There were lines that should never be crossed, no matter the war, no matter the reason.

This was one of them.

For a mont, he did not speak. His eyes stayed fixed on Irina, searching her face for even the smallest sign that she was exaggerating. There was none. Her expression was heavy, tight, filled with a quiet anger that had nowhere to go.

Liam exhaled slowly.

"This is unbelievable," he said. "And disgusting."

Irina did not interrupt him.

He lifted his head slightly, his eyes hard now. "That line," he continued, "nobody gets to cross that line."

There was a pause.

Then Liam raised an eyebrow.

"Fine," he said. "I agree."

Irina’s eyes sharpened at once.

"But," Liam added calmly, "I have a condition."

She waited.

"Only one person follows ," he said. "The rest stays here. I’m not putting everyone near danger. Not for this."

Irina did not hesitate. She nodded once. "As long as you co."

Liam nodded back. "Expect tomorrow then."

For a brief second, silence settled between them.

Then sothing changed.

A soft glow appeared behind Liam’s shoulders. It grew brighter, spreading outward, filling the air with white light. Irina’s eyes widened as massive wings unfolded from his back, feathered and glowing like living light.

The wings spread fully.

WHOOSH!

Liam beat them once, the force kicking up dust and loose gravel from the ground.

Irina stared.

Nobody had told her he could fly.

Her mouth opened slightly before she caught herself.

"Wait!" she shouted. "I haven’t even told you where I stay!"

Liam turned his head slightly, looking over his shoulder.

"I’ll find you," he said simply.

Then he pushed off the ground.

BANG!

The air cracked as he shot upward, wings beating hard as he disappeared into the night sky.

Irina stood there, eyes following the trail of fading light.

Slowly, a smile ford on her lips.

"An interesting one," she murmured.

Behind her, there was a sharp sound.

CRACK!

Bone snapped.

A low groan followed as flesh shifted and reshaped. The werewolf who had fought Liam earlier collapsed to one knee before his body twisted again, fur retracting, claws shortening, bones realigning.

Within seconds, a naked man stood behind her, breathing heavily.

He straightened slowly and walked closer.

"Why didn’t you take the duel seriously, Alpha?" he asked. "You could have ended his life in one move."

Irina did not turn to look at him.

Instead, her smile faded into sothing thoughtful.

"He is hiding more than I can see," she said.

The man frowned. "Hiding?"

"In fact," Irina continued, "I can barely see any of his power."

That made the man freeze.

He stared at her in disbelief.

That was impossible.

Irina possessed a rare ability. She could sense the depth of soone’s strength. Sotis she even saw abilities the person themselves did not know they had. It was how she judged threats. How she ruled. How she survived.

And now she was saying she saw nothing.

"That makes him dangerous," she finished.

The man swallowed.

—-

anwhile, Liam descended from the sky toward a familiar neighborhood.

He slowed as he neared Seo Yeon’s house, the wings folding slightly to control his landing. Most of the house was dark. Almost everyone was probably asleep.

Only one light was on.

Through the front window, he could see Dickson sprawled on the couch, eyes glued to the TV, volu low but steady. The flicker of the screen painted the room in shifting colors.

Liam did not stop.

He curved around the house, wings beating softly as he flew past the roof and toward the back. His path was deliberate.

Lilith’s room.

He landed on the corridor behind her room with barely a sound. His boots touched the ground gently, wings retracting into his back as the glow faded completely.
