Liam finally found his voice.
For a mont he had simply been staring at her like his brain needed a few extra seconds to catch up with what his eyes were seeing. Then he stepped forward slightly and spoke in a calm voice that carried a genuine tone.
"You look absolutely gorgeous."
The words ca out softly but there was no doubt in them. He ant every bit of it.
What Liam did not realize was that Tatiana had been doing the exact sa thing to him.
From the mont she stepped out of the room and saw him standing there in the living room, her eyes had quietly begun taking in every detail about him.
The suit fit him perfectly. The clean white shirt beneath it made his broad shoulders look even wider and the dark jacket sat naturally along his fra as if it had been tailored specifically for him. The way the fabric wrapped around his torso made it obvious that beneath the calm appearance was a lean and strong body.
His dark hair still carried a slightly rough look but after the shower it had that effortless style so n seed to have naturally. A few strands rested loosely across his forehead and sohow that only made him look even more attractive.
Then there were his eyes.
Calm.
Confident.
Focused.
Tatiana realized she had been staring at him longer than she should.
Her brain had completely ignored the complint he just gave her.
Liam noticed her silence and frowned slightly before snapping his fingers once in front of her.
The sound echoed clearly in the room.
Tatiana blinked imdiately.
Her trance broke.
"Oh."
She cleared her throat quickly and a small smile appeared on her lips.
"Thank you."
For a second there was a slightly awkward silence between them.
Then Liam glanced at his watch.
"We are running out of ti."
The reminder instantly brought her attention back to the mission.
"Oh right."
Tatiana quickly reached for her phone from the table and slipped it into her purse.
Just as she was about to close it Liam raised a hand.
"Don’t bring your phone."
She paused.
Then looked at him like he had just said sothing ridiculous.
"Excuse ?"
Tatiana held the purse in one hand and frowned slightly.
"How else am I supposed to book a ride?"
She tilted her head.
"Don’t tell we will be flying there."
The idea alone made her cringe slightly.
She looked down at the elegant gown she had spent nearly an hour putting on along with the heels and makeup.
Flying across the sky with Liam’s wings would destroy all of it in seconds.
"I cannot even imagine what I would look like when we land," she muttered.
Liam chuckled softly.
"I guess you haven’t looked outside."
Tatiana blinked.
"Looked outside?"
She frowned in confusion.
"What’s outside?"
As she spoke she turned and walked toward the door.
Her heels clicked softly across the floor as she reached for the handle. Liam simply stood behind her with that calm smile still on his face.
Tatiana slowly opened the door.
The cool evening air slipped into the house.
She stepped out slightly and looked toward the small driveway in front of the house.
Then she froze.
Her eyes widened.
For a mont she genuinely thought her brain was playing tricks on her.
Parked directly in front of the house was a car that looked like it had just rolled out of a luxury car exhibition.
A sleek low body.
Sharp aggressive lines.
The entire machine looked like it had been carved from pure speed.
It was a Lamborghini Huracan EVO.
The car carried a unique orange wrap that shimred under the streetlights while bold green racing stripes ran across the body from the front hood all the way to the rear. The design gave it a striking and almost intimidating appearance.
The V10 engine hidden behind the driver’s seat was famous among car enthusiasts for its raw power and aggressive roar.
Tatiana stepped out of the doorway slowly like soone approaching a rare animal.
She walked toward the car carefully, her heels tapping against the pavent as her eyes scanned every part of the vehicle.
Her fingers lightly brushed the surface of the hood as if she needed to confirm it was real.
"This..."
She let out a quiet breath.
"This car costs at least two hundred and fifty thousand dollars."
Her voice carried disbelief.
She slowly walked around the car, admiring the sharp curves of the body and the low aggressive stance of the wheels.
"I have never been inside one of these in my entire life."
She circled around the front and finally looked back at Liam who was leaning casually against the doorway watching her reaction.
Tatiana raised an eyebrow.
"How many days did you rent it for?"
Liam imdiately laughed.
The question clearly amused him.
"What do you an rent?"
Tatiana crossed her arms slightly while still standing beside the car.
"Well obviously you rented it."
Liam shook his head slowly.
"I bought it."
He spoke the words casually like he was talking about buying a cup of coffee.
"I own it."
Tatiana stared at him.
Her expression slowly turned into one of pure disbelief.
"What?"
Her mind tried to process the information but nothing seed to connect.
He had left the house for only a few hours earlier this afternoon.
When he ca back he already had the green access card they needed to enter the party tonight.
And now sohow there was also a quarter million dollar supercar sitting in front of her house.
Tatiana looked at the car again.
Then back at Liam.
Then back at the car.
The more she looked at him the more the strange feeling inside her grew stronger.
There was sothing about Liam that she simply could not figure out.
Everything about him felt mysterious.
And sohow that mystery only made her more curious about him.
——
Liam reached into his pocket and pulled out the key.
Tatiana was still standing beside the car, her fingers resting lightly on the smooth surface of the hood like she was still making sure it was real. The streetlight reflected across the orange wrap and green stripes of the machine, making the car look even more striking under the night sky.
Liam pressed the button on the key.
The car responded instantly.
A sharp electronic beep cut through the quiet evening air.
Then the doors slowly lifted upward with smooth chanical precision.
Tatiana’s eyes widened again.
Even though she had already seen pictures of supercars before, seeing one open like that in real life was sothing completely different.
The movent was elegant and dramatic at the sa ti.
Liam tilted his head toward the passenger side.
"You first."
Tatiana did not argue.
She stepped closer carefully, lowering herself into the seat with a slow controlled movent so her gown would not wrinkle too much. The mont she sat down she breathed in deeply.
The interior slled brand new.
Not just new leather, but that clean rich scent that ca with extrely expensive cars.
She looked around slowly.
Excitent lit up her face.
The inside of the Lamborghini Huracan EVO was just as stunning as the outside. The seats were wrapped in smooth black leather stitched with thin green lines that matched the stripes on the exterior. The material hugged the shape of the seats tightly, built to hold the driver and passenger firmly in place during high speed driving.
The dashboard stretched out in front of them like the cockpit of a fighter jet. Sharp angles, glossy panels and carbon fiber surfaces reflected the dim interior lights.
In the center sat a digital screen surrounded by tallic controls. The buttons were not the cheap plastic kind found in ordinary cars. Each one felt heavy and precise, designed with that sa attention to detail that only luxury performance machines received.
The steering wheel was compact and thick, wrapped in leather with a firm grip that clearly ant business. Small switches and driving mode controls sat directly on it so the driver could adjust the car without taking their hands off the wheel.
Even the air vents looked sculpted like part of a futuristic machine.
Tatiana leaned back into the seat slightly and ran her fingers along the leather beside her.
She was smiling.
Not nervous.
Just excited.
Liam noticed it imdiately as he walked around and slid into the driver’s seat.
The door closed with a solid chanical sound behind him.
"You look like soone who just won the lottery," he said casually.
Tatiana laughed softly but did not deny it.
"This is insane," she said while looking around again.
Liam placed the key into the ignition and started the engine.
The car ca alive.
The V10 engine roared to life behind them with a deep powerful growl that vibrated through the entire vehicle. The sound alone was enough to make anyone understand this was not an ordinary car.
Tatiana’s eyes widened again.
"Oh my god."
Liam smirked slightly.
Then he shifted the car into drive and slowly pulled out onto the road.
The city streets were still busy at this hour. Cars filled the lanes ahead and headlights stretched across the road like a river of moving lights. Because of the traffic Liam could not unleash the full power of the car like he probably wanted to.
But even without speeding too aggressively the Lamborghini still moved differently from everything else on the road.
When Liam pressed the accelerator the car surged forward smoothly and slipped past slower vehicles with ease.
The engine growled softly every ti he changed lanes.
Drivers in nearby cars turned their heads imdiately.
So stared through their windows in open admiration.
Others simply watched as the bright orange supercar passed them like sothing from a movie.
The Lamborghini slid between lanes smoothly before accelerating again and leaving several cars behind in seconds.
Inside the car Tatiana looked like she was having the ti of her life.
Her head turned toward the window while the lights of the city reflected across the glass. Buildings passed by, street signs flashed by, and neon lights from shops and bars painted brief colors across her face.
Liam glanced at her.
She looked happy.
Really happy.
He noticed how her eyes kept following the outside view while a soft smile stayed on her lips.
"Can you drive?" Liam asked casually.
Tatiana nodded without even thinking.
She was still watching the city outside.
"Yeah," she answered subconsciously.
The reflection in the window caught her attention for a mont.
The glass showed her own image faintly. Her red hair resting over her shoulders, the elegant black gown hugging her curves, the glow of the city lights reflecting across her skin.
Even though it was the sa city she had lived in for years, it sohow looked different tonight.
More beautiful.
And sohow she looked beautiful in it too.
Liam glanced at her again.
Then he asked sothing that made her snap her head toward him imdiately.
"Do you want to drive?"
Tatiana stared at him.
Her brain needed a mont to process the words.
"You’re serious?"
Liam shrugged lightly.
She almost could not believe it.
Just earlier tonight she never imagined she would even sit inside a car like this before she died.
And now the man beside her was offering to let her drive it.
Her excitent returned instantly.
She nodded her head quickly.
"Yes."
Liam smiled.
"Good."
Then he said three simple words that made her heart jump.
"Take the wheel."
The shocking part was that Liam did not slow down.
He did not stop the car.
He simply said those words while the Lamborghini continued racing down the busy city road.
Take the wheel.
