Liam followed Lilith through the sleek, dimly lit hallways of her penthouse, his eyes darting around in curiosity. He had always known that Lilith, as the leader of the Black Lotus, had access to a massive arsenal, but seeing it firsthand was an entirely different experience.
She led him towards a hidden section of her penthouse, where a large reinforced door slid open at her command. Inside, an entire wall was lined with glass cases, each containing a variety of deadly weapons. Rifles, handguns, shotguns, knives, explosives—everything was arranged neatly, as if displayed in an art gallery. The room was a battlefield waiting to be unleashed.
Liam couldn’t help but grin, his fingers itching to reach out and touch the beautiful instrunts of destruction before him. His excitent was palpable, and Lilith narrowed her eyes as she watched him.
"What the hell are you planning now?" she asked, crossing her arms.
Liam barely looked at her as he scanned the cases. "Hmm? Oh, nothing. Just admiring the view."
Lilith scoffed. "Right. Because you on TV earlier was just a coincidence?"
That made Liam pause. He turned to her, confusion written all over his face. "? On TV?"
Lilith rolled her eyes before leaning against one of the cases. "Headline news. ’Crossfire Between Rival Gangs Leaves Almost a Dozen Dead’. Ring any bells?"
Liam scratched the back of his head, a sheepish grin forming on his lips. "Ah... yeah, about that..." He hesitated before sighing. "They kidnapped my woman."
The mont the words left his mouth, Lilith’s expression changed. Her initially annoyed gaze softened into one of approval. She hadn’t been too concerned about Liam killing people—it ca with the territory. However, if it was for his woman, that was a different story.
"Then their deaths were justified," she stated bluntly, her lips curving into a smirk, at least this idiot is responsible. "For a second, I thought you were just being reckless. But protecting what’s yours? That, I can respect."
Liam chuckled. "Nice to know I have your blessing."
Without waiting for further conversation, he moved towards the cases, eyes gleaming with excitent. He opened the displays without hesitation, picking up various weapons and testing their weight in his hands. He admired the smooth barrels of the handguns, the polished steel of the knives, and the sheer firepower radiating from the rifles. He was like a kid in a candy store, and Lilith, watching him, could only shake her head in amusent.
But then, sothing caught Liam’s eye. Sothing different. Sothing unexpected. His fingers stilled over a particular weapon at the farthest end of the display.
His brows lifted in pure astonishnt. He slowly placed the gun in his hand back down before reaching forward with both hands, his fingers brushing against the cold, tallic surface of the monstrous weapon. He turned to Lilith, disbelief in his voice.
"Why the hell do you have an RPG in your personal ho?"
Lilith barely batted an eye as she crossed her arms. "And why the hell are you picking up the RPG?"
Liam grinned. "Avoiding the question, huh?"
Lilith smirked. "Right back at you."
The tension in the room was laced with amusent, but neither pressed further. Lilith had her reasons for keeping an RPG in her private residence, and Liam had his reasons for wanting to use it. Whatever those reasons were, neither felt the need to explain.
Liam turned away, still cradling the RPG like it was the most precious thing in the world. "Borrow this... and a couple of guns."
Lilith sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Goddammit, Liam, don’t cause more problems than you can handle"
Despite her complaint, she walked over to another section of the armory and retrieved the necessary ammunition. She opened a separate display case, revealing multiple stacks of high-powered rounds, extra magazines, and, of course, three RPG rockets.
She placed them on a nearby table, watching as Liam examined them with an almost childlike fascination. He nodded approvingly before turning back to her with a grin. "You’re the best, Lilith."
Lilith shook her head, muttering under her breath. "This is going to cause trouble... I just know it."
Lilith suddenly took out her phone and opened the calculator app, her fingers quickly tapping the screen as she did so calculations. After a brief mont, she looked up at Liam and said flatly, "Two grand."
Liam furrowed his brows. "Five grand? Is that a gun or sothing?"
"Gun my ass," Lilith snapped, resisting the urge to throw sothing at him. She took a deep breath to maintain her composure and continued, "You’re taking away five thousand dollars’ worth of ammunition, dumbass."
Liam’s heart almost stopped. "Five thousand—" He felt his soul leaving his body. He should’ve known this demon of a woman wouldn’t let him off easy. Just as he expected, Lilith had already begun reciting her account number.
With a deep sigh and a heavy heart, Liam opened his phone and made the transfer. The mont the money left his account, he felt an invisible stab in his chest. This was daylight robbery.
Lilith smirked as she received the notification, she had successfully scamd him. completely unbothered by Liam’s suffering. anwhile, Liam silently packed up the guns, ammunition, and the RPG into a large duffel bag. His movents were quick and efficient, but he didn’t bother to say another word to Lilith. He was still mourning his lost money.
Just as he was about to step into the elevator, sothing clicked in his mind. He turned back toward Lilith, rembering sothing very important. However, when his eyes landed on her, his thoughts screeched to a halt.
Lilith was stretching, her arms raised high above her head as she let out a long, tired yawn. The movent caused her nightgown to rise slightly, exposing the smooth curve of her toned thighs. The thin silk of her nightgown clung to her body, and with no underwear beneath, the outline of her firm breasts was barely concealed. The dim lighting only added to the allure, casting soft shadows that highlighted her curves in an almost sinful way. When she tilted her head back, her golden hair cascaded down her back, making her look effortlessly seductive.
Liam swallowed hard, montarily entranced. The way her body moved so naturally, so confidently, it was enough to make any man weak. His eyes trailed down to the gentle sway of her hips, the subtle jiggle of her ass as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. The entire image was dangerously tempting.
But before Lilith could catch him staring, Liam quickly cleared his throat and averted his gaze.
"Ahem... Can I borrow one of your cars?" he asked, forcing his voice to sound as normal as possible.
Lilith, still half-asleep, lazily waved her hand in the air. "Yeah, yeah, just pick whatever you want," she muttered. She was far too tired to argue with him or care about what he did. All she wanted now was sleep.
Liam smirked, pleased with the easy victory. Without wasting another second, he stepped into the elevator and descended to the underground parking lot. If only he knew he had being scamd of two thousand dollars by Lilith, he would be cursing his way out of here.
