Watching the group of thugs smirk triumphantly, David, now awake, snarled furiously, "You bastard... fuck your grandmother."
"Trying to play the hero saving the damsels, huh? I don’t care who you are, I’m going to make you pay later."
"I’m gonna fuck these two bitches right in front of you, and squeeze their tits until they pop..."
Young Master David grew angrier with every curse. He suddenly snatched a rubber baton from a guard and swung it at Luis.
Luis, who had seed cornered until now, abruptly dodged the blow. Infuriated, David yelled, "You fucker, you dare dodge? Where the hell did you get the guts, you son of a bitch..."
The arrogant young master, even more incensed, raised the baton for another strike.
Just then, no one had noticed the sound of hurried footsteps approaching the door, followed by a figure rushing in urgently.
In that split second, Luis made his decision. He delivered a powerful, preditated kick straight into David’s stomach. The force was so imnse it sent the scrawny guy flying three or four ters backward.
"Fuck, get him!"
Seeing Luis dare to fight back, the mob of thugs erupted. Even the security guards, after a mont of stunned silence, tightened their grips on their batons, ready to teach Luis a severe lesson.
Right then, a sharp, commanding voice cut through the noise. "You bastards, stop this instant!"
Everyone turned to look. Bella was striding in purposefully. The mont she saw the blood streaming down Luis’s forehead, her face paled.
Any man would be struck by the sight of such a stunning beauty. The blond punk leered and chuckled, "Whoa, even the whores here are sticking their noses in now?"
Several thugs helped a struggling David to his feet. David took one look and sneered, "You bitch, what the fuck are you doing, ddling in my business?"
The security guards, their expressions turning grim, stepped aside and began murmuring, "President Bella."
Compared to the spoiled son of a shareholder, the woman before them was the true owner of the Ocean Hotel, the current head of the Leon family.
Bella’s delicate brows furrowed. She stepped forward and delivered a sharp, resounding slap across David’s face. The crisp sound echoed, leaving him montarily stunned.
Coming to his senses, David’s eyes burned with rage. He scread, "You bitch! You dare hit ? Even my own father has never hit !"
"Your father wouldn’t dare speak to in that tone either. Restrain him," Bella commanded coldly.
Bella was the true authority here. She had entered with two bodyguards. Before David could lunge, the prepared bodyguards swiftly pinned him to the ground.
Since the Leon and Taiga families were already on bad terms, they had no reason to show courtesy to this Taiga family young master. They subdued him like wolves tackling prey, forcing him face-down into the floor.
"You bitch... Ahhh!!!"
David struggled wildly but imdiately let out a piercing scream. These two bodyguards weren’t the type who relied on intimidation through appearance alone. A slight twist of his arm was more than the pampered young master could bear.
With the real boss present, the security guards instantly switched their allegiance. They shrewdly moved to corral the gang of thugs who had been with David.
"What happened here? Perhaps we should discuss this in my office!"
Bella approached, her voice laced with apparent concern.
Luis understood the wisdom of avoiding imdiate disadvantage. Honestly, even if the System had temporarily granted him combat expertise, he was still outnumbered.
Two fists are no match for many hands, and he would likely have suffered for it. That’s why, the mont he left the room earlier, he had called Bella, shouted the private room number, and rushed over.
"It seems I should head to the hospital first!!"
Luis wiped the blood from his head, casting a cold glance at David. "He’s Dominic’s son???"
Dominic of Tiger Real Estate was a local powerbroker with connections spanning both sides of the law. Anyone with a shred of sense could tell that soone who dared address him so directly by na was undoubtedly not soone to be trifled with.
"Yes," Bella replied, a flicker of schadenfreude in her heart, though her face showed only concern. "How did you end up in a conflict with him?"
Luis gave a cold laugh. "You can ask them about that later. And check what exactly they put in the drinks."
With that, Luis knocked on the restroom door, his voice softening with concern. "It’s alright now, Avery, Leah. You can co out."
The restroom door cracked open slightly. Leah peered out, her face full of terror, like a frightened kitten.
Suddenly, overwheld with pitiable distress, she seed on the verge of tears. She flung the door open, threw her arms around Luis, and burst into loud sobs. "Brother in law, please, co look at Avery! Sothing’s wrong with her!"
"What’s wrong with her?"
Ignoring the injury on his head, Luis quickly pushed the door open wider to see.
Avery was slumped on the floor, leaning against the wall, her eyes half-closed and utterly vacant. She mumbled incoherently, as if heavily intoxicated.
A strange, foolish smile played on her face, and she occasionally let out a soft, unintelligible sigh, her entire deanor appearing very peculiar.
"What’s wrong with her?"
"I don’t know! She beca like this after drinking a beer that David handed her. Avery’s alcohol tolerance isn’t this bad at all."
Leah was so frantic she kept wiping at her streaming tears.
Luis called out for Avery several tis, but she did not respond. Bella, leaning against the doorway, said thoughtfully, "It seems she has been drugged. Quickly take her to the hospital to have her stomach pumped."
Luis saw that her condition was abnormal and, ignoring the chaotic state of the scene, imdiately picked up Avery. Taking his tearful sister-in-law with him, he hurried downstairs and directly hailed a taxi to the ergency room of the nearby Municipal First Hospital.
After registering and paying the fee, a brief examination was conducted, and then her stomach was pumped. The symptoms appeared quite similar to food poisoning.
In the corridor, Leah was still sobbing, covering her small mouth, and blaming herself, saying, "It’s all my fault. I thought there would be many people here. I never expected that Virga had tricked us into coming."
Luis sat down beside her and held her close, letting her delicate and soft body nestle into his embrace. After comforting her for a while, he inquired, "Leah, what is the story with that Virga?"
He gently kissed the tears from her face, and then Leah, still terrified, explained the reason.
Virga was a senior student at their school. It was said that he had hit a teacher but was not expelled. Instead, he had voluntarily dropped out of school.
He was a troublemaker who, relying on his family’s wealth, spent all his ti either fighting or bullying others. Even the teachers could do nothing about him. It was said that the principal of City First High School was a friend of his father.
During the school’s military training at the start of the sester, he had taken a liking to Avery and Leah. This arrogant guy actually tried to pursue both of them at the sa ti.
Avery and Leah were also scared and did not dare to tell their families. Fortunately, after a few attempts, he beat up a new teacher, then dropped out of school and spent his days hanging out with a senior female student, no longer harassing them.
Today was supposedly the birthday of a female classmate, who was also the vice class monitor and an excellent student. Being in the sa dormitory, they had happily gone to celebrate.
Who would have known that upon arriving, they found not a single student from their class in the room. Instead, it was Virga and a group of young thugs waiting for them. Right from the start, they blocked the door and would not let them leave.
They said things like, "Since you’re already here, have a drink before you leave." Both girls were frightened, so Avery raised her glass and drank. But after she finished, she saw Virga’s subordinate adding sothing to her drink.
"This little bastard, so young yet so bold."
Luis was burning with anger as he listened. Just then, the doctor ca out and said that her stomach had been pumped and that she would need an IV drip. It was not a major issue, but she would have to stay overnight.
