"Stay still!"
Nancy focused intently on driving, swatting away Luis's hand because the cheating bastard's roving hand had gone too far. Groping her thigh was one thing, but trying to slip into her panties was far too dangerous.
Her sister-in-law, the celestial beauty, was flushed a delicate shade of red. The look on her face was both sexy and especially adorable.
With a tender, flirtatious gaze in her eyes, the celestial sister-in-law said, "Brother-in-law, you're not going back tonight, are you?"
"I told Lily."
Luis nodded, speaking seriously. "I originally had sothing to deal with, but your mother-in-law called over on the spot."
"You know how ssy my schedule is, with my days and nights all mixed up. Lily's used to it by now. Why, what's up?"
Nancy's expression turned seductively alluring, a hint of excitent in her voice as she said, "Then let's go get a room!"
"You're not going ho?"
Luis asked, a note of surprise in his voice.
While a hotel room certainly offered a freer, more unconstrained environnt, to be honest, from Luis's perspective, ho was the better choice.
His wife, his sister-in-law, his younger sister-in-law, his mother-in-law… Sotis, when it ca to cheating, the thrill wasn't about unrestrained sex; it was far more appealing to have that sense of the household patriarch.
Money didn't matter much to Luis; the best feeling was being the head of the family.
Nancy's cheeks were flushed, her voice a little breathless as she said, "It's just too inconvenient at ho. Mom and Lily are there, and now my little sister even stays over occasionally."
"And the soundproofing is so bad. Every ti, it's just a nerve-wracking experience…"
"Besides, I've never stayed at a high-end hotel. I kind of want to give it a try…"
Luis asked with a lascivious grin, "Just want to give it a try?"
Nancy shot him a coquettish glare and said, "Fine, I didn't like it the way it was before. Having to bite my lip to keep from crying out, not being able to enjoy it… it's frustrating."
Hearing this sent a surge of primal lust coursing through Luis's veins. It proved just how much his sister-in-law cared for him; she wanted to be able to fully embrace and enjoy the sheer pleasure of being with him.
Just as Luis was about to speak, her phone suddenly rang, the sound echoing harshly in the car.
He knew that Nancy's social life was usually very simple. She barely had any friends; basically, only relatives called her, or else it was just telemarketers.
She might be strikingly beautiful, but socially, she was a complete hobody. She didn't work and had no colleagues, making her life extrely simple.
So, Nancy imdiately grabbed her phone, looking surprised. "It's Mom!"
"Huh?"
Even Luis was taken aback.
A call from the matriarch naturally had to be answered. Nancy picked up. "Hello, Mom, what's up?"
"'What's up?' Do you even care about your mother? I was waiting for you to call . But after all this ti, not a single word. Are you acting like I'm dead or sothing?"
The mother-in-law, who was now a docile lamb in Luis's arms, a seductive and alluring beauty, was fundantally a strict, harsh, and sharp-tongued shrew. The mont she spoke, it was like firecrackers going off.
Her words ca out in a rapid, unbroken stream, and even the sound of mahjong tiles in the background couldn't diminish the quality of her relentless tirade…
"No, Mom, what did I do to upset you?"
Nancy was completely bewildered.
She was racked with guilt, terrified that her secret trip to see her father's mistress had been exposed. In her mother's eyes, that was an unforgivable sin.
Ruth was fuming, snorting angrily. "Still playing dumb with !"
"Your mother-in-law called . She said you had another fight with Daniel, a really bad one."
"She tried to break it up, but couldn't manage it. That's why she called your brother-in-law over."
"Huh, she's such a gossip. Why did she have to call you about it?"
Nancy was getting a bit annoyed.
"Of course she'd call! She's your mother-in-law, she cares about you two! And she said it was over so trivial, insignificant little thing, yet you two could fight like that."
"Can't you two be a little more mature? Now that you've got your business going, life is good. Are you bored, with nothing to do but fight?"
"Fine, you fight. But you're a married woman now. How did your mother-in-law even find out?"
"So what if she, the gossip, found out? Why did she call your brother-in-law over?"
Nancy said anxiously, "Mom, it wasn't who called him!"
Listening from the side, Luis almost felt like laughing. He thought that when Hela wasn't in heat, she was remarkably sharp and rational.
As a woman who had clawed her way to the top of the corporate world, she was no pushover. Making this call to the mother-in-law first was a brilliant move.
As the mother-in-law, she had no idea her daughter-in-law was cheating, nor did she know about the complex triangle between the three of them. From her perspective, she had to make so kind of gesture.
By framing the issue as sothing trivial, she ensured Nancy couldn't call her own mother crying about it.
Even though the relationship between Nancy and her mother wasn't exactly one of close mother-daughter affection, Hela was still being proactive.
"I know. Your mother-in-law couldn't control you two, so that's why she called your brother-in-law!"
"Honestly, how old are you two, fighting like that? How much money is there to split that you've got the energy for such a row?"
Once the mother-in-law started, she was like a machine gun, a relentless stream of criticism.
"I'm not fond of your mother-in-law personally, but I know her personality. She wouldn't have called your brother-in-law unless she was at her wit's end… or called afterward."
"She told it wasn't a big deal, but she thought it was Daniel's fault. She'd already given your husband an earful."
"Once your brother-in-law showed up, you both cald down. You said you wanted to go ho and stay for a few days to cool off…"
"Nancy, honestly, you both have such terrible tempers. You're always looking for trouble."
"You know exactly what Daniel is like. Can't you just ignore him? As soon as things start going smoothly, you let your temper get the better of you, don't you?"
Hela's move was truly masterful. She had effectively put Nancy on the spot.
Because Nancy couldn't explain the truth. The fact that her husband was involved with a man was just too shaful.
So Hela played her hand cleverly, taking the bla preemptively, putting on a show of being conciliatory.
This act of contrition surprised Ruth, but it also made her feel a bit smug. And her sympathy for a mother's difficult position allowed her to focus all her firepower on her own daughter.
Nancy was left speechless, anger rising within her. She turned to Luis with a helpless look.
She wanted to tell her mom about catching her husband in the act tonight, but she didn't dare. If Daniel decided to just lay all his cards on the table and admit everything, the consequences would be even more severe.
As Luis had surmised, the couple each had their own secrets. But neither dared to actually force a complete confrontation; they lacked even the courage to act rashly.
"Mom, please stop. This conflict isn't sothing that started yesterday."
The car pulled over to the side of the road again. Nancy sat there, feeling at a loss.
