(Himiko POV – Kata's House, Living Room)
I sit cross-legged at the table, humming to myself, facing the two girls across from .
They look nervous.
'Good.'
The quiet hum of the house feels louder than it should. The tension’s thick, like we’re sitting on a grenade and no one wants to breathe hard enough to set it off.
'And the grenade is ~!' I think happily.
I smile brightly, tilting my head in the cutest way I know. “Sooo~!” I start, voice sing-songy. Their eyes snap to instantly, like prey clocking a predator.
“I’m Himiko Toga! You’re Kata’s friends, right?” I ask sweetly, letting my smile charm them.
The girl with the tidy black ponytail answers first.
“Yes,” she says, polite but a bit tense. “I’m Momo Yaoyorozu. It’s... nice to et you.”
The pink one jumps in right after, trying to sound cheerful but she kinda just misses the mark. “I’m Mina Ashido! Hi! Nice to et you too, Toga!”
I giggle and narrow my eyes, letting my smile stretch just a little wider, as though I agree.
'Heh. Liars.'
Eri went to help Kata in the kitchen, so it’s just us here. No need to play nice.
“I hate liars.” I say casually, still smiling, but my voice is flat, all emotion dead. “If you’re nervous, just say why. If you want to ask sothing, ask it. We don’t have to pretend.”
Their faces stiffen.
I glance at Momo. “You’re nervous.”
Then at Mina. “And you’re curious.”
Both flinch.
“I hate pretending,” I continue softly, my smile fading. “It’s such a waste of energy. It reminds of people I don't like.” I say, eyes never leaving theirs.
They look between each other, stunned by the sudden mood swing.
Momo straightens her back again and bows her head slightly.
“I... apologize,” she says, voice asured but earnest. “I was surprised to hear that Kata had a girlfriend. It caught off guard. But I ant what I said. It’s a pleasure to et you.”
'Hmm... Approved.'
I shift my gaze to Mina, keeping my expression neutral.
She stiffens under my stare, fiddling with the hem of her shirt. Her voice cos out small. “Are you really... Kata’s girlfriend?”
I lean forward a little, elbows on the table.
“Do you two like Kata?” I ask with eerie calmness.
Momo lowers her eyes, her hands tightening in her lap. But then, just as quickly, she looks up—eyes clear, voice steady.
“Yes. I do.”
Mina stares at her, stunned. “You’re just... admitting it?!”
“We’ve been caught already,” Momo says plainly, giving a little nod. “There’s no point pretending anymore. You like him too, don’t you?”
Mina’s mouth opens and closes like a fish. “I—! I don’t know how I feel yet, okay?!”
She hides her face in her hands, cheeks turning a deep magenta.
"Heehee~"
I can’t help it. A giggle bubbles out of . I grin wide, flashing my fangs.
Both girls freeze, and I feel the tension spike.
“So~” I drawl, tone slow and sweet. “You both like Kata, huh?”
I can hear them gulp.
'Perfect.'
I clap my hands together suddenly, my voice suddenly cheerful again. “I like Kata too!!” I chirp, leaning forward, eyes wide and sparkling. “He’s sooo dreamy, right? What do you like about him? I love how calm he is. He so accepting, and he's so kind~! I love everything about him~! It makes crazy!”
I'm certain I'm making a weird face, but I don't care.
They both blink in confusion, not sure whether I’m joking or testing them.
I puff my cheeks, crossing my arms in mock indignation. “What? You don’t like that I like him?”
“Uh... no?” Mina says slowly, completely lost. “But shouldn’t you be, like... mad? Or jealous or sothing?”
Momo’s brow furrows too, looking more thoughtful than confused.
"Why would I?" I ask curiously.
Mina continues awkwardly. “Aren’t you his girlfriend?”
I blink innocently.
“Hmm? ?” I tilt my head the other way. “Oh, no no no~! I’m not his girlfriend.”
Their eyes widen.
“You’re... not?” Momo asks carefully.
I shake my head cheerfully. “Nope! Not yet, anyway.” I lean in with a dreamy sigh. “But that’s just a matter of ti~.”
And just like that, the mood shifts again.
They both stare at , unsure what to say.
I stare back with wide, delighted eyes.
'This is fun.'
(Momo POV – Kata's House, Living Room)
'I think I understand now.'
The shock from all the revelations hasn’t exactly worn off—but I’m no stranger to handling the unexpected. Heroes don’t get to freeze up just because things don’t go according to plan.
I glance at Himiko, watching her closely. Her energy shifts like waves, but I think... I’m starting to get a feel for her rhythm. There’s more to her than her smile suggests.
'She's happy we like Kata, and seems like she just wants soone to share the feeling with.'
I offer her a small, warm smile, which instantly draws her attention.
“I see.” I say calmly.
Mina gives a look—half confusion, half 'What are you doing?!'
I keep my gaze on Himiko, still smiling. “I really admire how kind Kata is. He’s thoughtful, but doesn't make a big show of it. He pays attention and helps because he cares, not because he wants anything in return.”
Himiko lights up, eyes sparkling. Her grin grows wider and more genuine.
“Right?! He’s so weird,” she says, pouting slightly. “He acts all distant most of the ti, but the second you actually need help, he’s just... there. Ugh—it’s so cute.” She giggles, covering her mouth.
I nod in agreent. “Exactly. He has a strong sense of responsibility. It’s comforting.”
Mina stares at both of us like we’ve grown second heads.
“What is going on right now?” she mutters, dazed. “How did we end up bonding over this?”
I let out a small giggle and gently turn to her. “We’re just talking, Mina. There’s nothing wrong with being open about your feelings.”
Then, just for fun, I lean forward, eyes gleaming with playful curiosity. “So... what do you like about Kata?”
Mina gapes at like I betrayed her.
“Wait—?!” she sputters, clearly unprepared. Under our twin stares, she shrinks in her seat, flustered and fidgety. Her mouth opens, then closes again like a sputtering engine.
But then, her expression shifts. Her brows furrow. Determination hardens in her eyes.
She sits up straight, slaps a hand onto the table as though stealing confidence from it, and takes a deep breath.
“I don’t know how you two can just talk about this like it’s normal! But—fine!” she blurts out, cheeks burning deep pink.
'Serious Mina mode activated,' a voice echoes dramatically in my mind.
“I like that he’s kind, too! But it’s not just that... he notices stuff. Like when you’re upset, or confused, or just... off. Even when you don’t know what’s wrong yet. He just does. And then he says sothing or does sothing and suddenly... you feel better.”
Her voice cracks a little, and she buries her face in her hands.
“I sound like a disaster.”
“No,” Himiko says seriously, watching her with strange intensity. “You're soone who understands how amazing Kata is too.”
Mina peeks between her fingers, blinking in surprise.
“It’s weird, isn’t it?” Himiko continues. “He’s always looking out for us. That ans he cares. And you noticed it.”
I stifle a laugh. 'Himiko’s fallen head over heels.' I think fondly.
After a brief lull, I gently change the subject to sothing that’s been bothering .
“So... why are you living with Kata, Himiko?”
Her bright aura dims just slightly.
“You can call Himiko,” she says casually, twirling a strand of her hair between her fingers. “I got into so trouble. Ran into Kata by chance. He helped out, and since I didn’t have anywhere to go, he offered to let stay here.”
She says it lightly, but the vagueness is deliberate.
I nod slowly. 'She doesn’t want to talk about it. That’s fine. I won’t push.'
“So you just live with him now?” Mina asks, eyes wide with interest, all her nerves and confusion seemingly forgotten.
“Yup!” Himiko chirps, instantly bouncing back. “He’s a great cook, and super neat too. Handles most of the chores like a proper little househusband. You’re gonna love dinner!”
“I didn’t even know Kata could cook,” I murmur in disbelief.
“Right? There’s so much we don’t know about him...” Mina says, leaning back in wonder. Then she narrows her eyes at . “Speaking of... how did you know about Eri?”
“Yeah,” Himiko joins in, lips curling in a teasing smile. “Kata’s not exactly a social butterfly. So how’d you et Eri?”
I blink, then tilt my head slightly. “I ran into them by chance while they were shopping for Eri’s clothes. I helped them out.”
Both girls freeze.
“You guys went shopping together?!” they exclaim in unison.
Mina leans in, grinning. “Sneaky, Momo! You already got a date in!”
“Even I haven’t had a date yet!” Himiko pouts, dramatically slumping against the table.
“It wasn’t a date!” I protest, flustered. I quickly pull out my phone and open the gallery. “Look—see? It was just shopping. I was helping Eri find clothes.”
I swipe to a picture of a Kata, Eri, and I smiling together, with Eri in a frilly dress.
They both crowd around, peering at the screen.
“You hid this well, Yaomomo,” Mina mutters, narrowing her eyes playfully.
Himiko’s eyes widen. “Wait... this was that day? Kata and Eri ca ho super late that day. Was that all you did?”
I avert my gaze and fake a cough. “Um... well, we may have... had a small al... together...”
My voice trails off into a whisper, my face burning.
“A al?!” They both yell.
“So it was a date!” Mina laughs, pointing a finger dramatically.
“Spill everything that happened,” she demands.
“Yeah! I wanna know!” Himiko echoes eagerly, eyes sparkling.
I sigh, defeated. “Is there any way I don’t?”
“Nope,” they reply in unison, smug grins plastered on their faces.
'Since when were you two in sync?' I think, hopelessly amused. But I can’t help smiling as I open my mouth and begin to tell the story.
(Mina POV – Kata's House, Living Room)
“So… I’m the one most behind, huh?” I slump against the table dramatically, arms dangling over the edge like I’ve been defeated in battle.
Himiko just shrugs with a teasing little grin. Even Momo doesn’t try to soften the blow—she just pats my back gently.
“You agree too, Yaomomo?” I squint up at her with mock betrayal.
She only offers that soft, serene smile of hers, eyes full of sympathy and maybe just a little amusent. “I think you’re doing great, Mina.”
‘So basically... yes, I’m behind.’
“Fine,” I groan, tossing my hands in the air. “I accept my losses for now! But I’m not giving up.”
Himiko tilts her head, clearly confused. “Giving up what?”
Momo and I blink at her.
I sit up. “We’re not giving up on Kata. You may have the ho-field advantage—literally—but that doesn’t an you’ve won!”
Himiko’s face scrunches slightly in confusion. “Won what? You guys like him too, don’t you?”
Momo and I exchange a quick glance, then nod in unison. “Of course we do.”
“Right,” Himiko says brightly, like it’s obvious. “So why would anyone need to give up?”
‘Wait… huh?’
I blink. Sothing about this conversation isn’t right.
Momo suddenly straightens like she just cracked a complex formula. “Wait—are you saying... you want to share Kata?”
My mouth opens. 'What?! There's no way anyone would agree—'
“I thought that was obvious?” Himiko says with a smile, genuinely puzzled.
“Wha—” I sputter.
“I see,” Momo hums thoughtfully, hand to her chin. “That actually makes a lot of sense.”
I whip around to look at her in shock. “How?! How does it make sense?!”
They both look at like I’m the strange one.
“Why not?” Himiko asks innocently, tilting her head.
“It’s perfectly logical,” Momo adds, completely calm.
My jaw drops. I look between them, trying to spot the punchline.
“This is a prank, right? You’re both ssing with ?” I laugh nervously. “You have to be.”
They just blink at in perfect sync.
(A/N: Oh, how the tables have turned.)
“...Right?” I ask again, my voice desperate.
“Nooope!” Himiko chirps. “Isn’t it kind of great? We all like the sa guy! We could totally share him!”
‘That’s not how liking soone works!’
I turn to Momo, the rational one. The voice of reason. “Please tell you’re not actually on board with this.”
But she’s as composed as ever. “Actually, a number of families I’ve encountered through social events practice polygamy. It’s surprisingly common, especially in certain regions. As long as everyone involved consents and communicates clearly, it can work quite well.”
“Wait—really?” Himiko asks, wide-eyed. “I thought I was the weird one. You’re telling this is a thing?”
Momo nods. “It may not be mainstream here, but it’s far from unheard of.”
I bury my face in my hands. “What kind of families are you eting?!”
Then I look up at Himiko again. “And no! It’s not normal!”
They glance at each other, then back at , and simultaneously shrug.
“I’m fine sharing with you guys~,” Himiko says, her voice sing-songy and clearly delighted.
“I’d be happy to share with both of you as well,” Momo says sincerely, her expression peaceful like she’s discussing this over afternoon tea. "I’ve never been in this kind of situation before... but I trust my feelings."
Now they’re both staring at , waiting for my response.
“I...” My brain hits a wall.
This is too much, and way too fast. I urge my brain to think of sothing and...
“I-I an... what about Kata?!” I finally blurt out. “What does he think about all this?”
Himiko tilts her head, thinking. “Hmmm. I don’t think he’d mind? As long as everyone’s cool with it, I bet he’d just go along with it.”
“I agree,” Momo adds. “He’s always looking for harmony, not conflict. If he saw we were all happy with it... he’d probably support it.”
‘There’s no way. There’s no way. Kata’s not that kind of person. He’d never—’
“Fine!” I say suddenly, slapping my palm against the table again. “Let’s ask him at dinner!”
Himiko beams. Momo nods calmly.
“I agree if he agrees,” I add quickly, folding my arms. “He’ll definitely shut this down.”
But deep inside... sowhere beneath all my false confidence...
I’ve got a very bad feeling about this.

A/N: Hello Everyone. If you enjoyed the chapter, please consider leaving a like, comnt, or review. It really helps the book out.
What'd you guys think? Crazy chapter in my opinion. Filled with absolute chaos. I tried my best with the group convo and dynamic, and I had quite a bit of fun writing this. I tried to be accurate to their personalities, while making the way the conversation evolved realistic.
Himiko doesn't love in the conventional sense, so she doesn't care too much. Even in canon, she was happy Uraraka liked the sa guy she did. Momo... All I'll say is rich people shit. Mina, the reasonable one, is the crazy one. Honestly, I though Momo was the voice of reason (guess both Mina and I are wrong, but I won't suffer for it).
I really admire Mina's faith in Kata. Would you place the sa faith in him if you were in her shoes?🤣
Anyway, that's all from .
