Commander Mare fell silent for a mont, as if sorting through old mories, before he finally began to speak.

"According to the ancient records, five thousand years ago, when the Goddess of Dreams first descended upon this world, she was far from invincible. At that ti, the land was ruled by the Demon Clan and the Primal Behemoths, creatures whose strength surpassed most divine beings. It was during that era that seven knights appeared, each chosen by one of the seven elental forces. Their power rivaled Divine-tier monsters, and more importantly, when the seven fought together, they were completely immune to elental magic. For demonic sorcerers, they were a nightmare. It was these seven knights who broke the Demon Clan’s advantage and allowed the Goddess’s legions to finally turn the tide of the war. History rembers them as the Elental Knights."

Mare stopped speaking and looked at Chloe, his eyes sharp with disbelief. "You said soone offered you a promotion to Thunder Knight?"

"Yes," Chloe replied with a nod. "It was a strange old knight. He gave a Level 30 quest and said that if I completed it, I could beco a Thunder Knight."

Mare let out a slow breath and shook his head. "That kind of opportunity is beyond rare. The power of an Elental Knight has never been in doubt. But three thousand years ago, after the Holy War of Light, the seven Elental Knights vanished without a trace. Since then, the class has existed only in legend. Very few have ever managed to claim it. While theory suggests that knights who master specific elents can eventually promote into those roles, the actual thod has long been lost. Without overwhelming strength and an extraordinary stroke of fate, success is almost impossible."

His gaze softened as it settled on Chloe, and his tone carried genuine admiration. "But you, Wind Witch, have already found the entrance to that path. With your natural affinity for both wind and lightning, becoming an Elental Knight is no longer just a dream. I cannot deny that I am envious. If things go well, you may very well beco the next legend."

’The next legend?’

Marcus and Anya were openly excited for her. Knights were already known for their high defense and massive health pools, and if magic immunity were added on top of that, Chloe would be nearly impossible to bring down. The idea of the legendary Elental Knight was both thrilling and intimidating.

Marcus, however, felt a hint of confusion. Mare had just said the thod was lost to ti, yet now he was talking as if Chloe had already found a way forward. He could not help but wonder if the commander was holding sothing back, and he gave Mare a questioning look.

Mare noticed imdiately. "Do not misunderstand," he said calmly. "I do not know the exact rituals, but I understand the progression. Becoming an Elental Knight is not a single promotion. It is a long journey. Take the Storm Knight as an example. One must first beco a Wind Knight, or a closely related class such as a Pegasus Knight. Only after years of training and a deep understanding of that elent can one attempt the promotion at Level 80. The Fla Knight follows the sa principle, beginning as a Fire Knight and advancing step by step."

Understanding slowly spread across their faces.

"That is right," Mare said, nodding. "The Thunder Knight is the necessary foundation for the Sky-Thunder Knight. Once lightning has been fully mastered at the Thunder Knight stage, advancing to the final rank at Level 80 becos possible."

A rare smile appeared on his face. "To encounter the path to an Elental Class is sothing most people never experience. You have my congratulations. That ’strange old knight’ you t was almost certainly a Sky-Thunder Knight himself."

"Chloe, that’s incredible," Marcus said without hesitation.

When he smiled at her, Chloe quickly turned her head away, her face heating up once again. Marcus found himself strangely unsettled by her silence. He had almost expected her to glare back and snap sothing sharp, to boast and take a jab at him the way she always did. He could picture her standing proudly, full of confidence, reminding him that she was ahead of him again. This quiet, bashful version of her felt unfamiliar.

Only then did he realize that, annoying as her constant remarks could be, he actually missed hearing her voice. As the thought settled, another question surfaced in his mind. With Chloe’s dual affinities, which path should she focus on?

Mare answered before Marcus could speak.

"Stonehaven, your companion possesses a rare gift. Because she commands both wind and lightning, she has two possible paths. She may pursue the Sky-Thunder Knight or the Storm Knight. In other words, she has two chances to reach a legendary class. Her potential has very few limits. You would be wise to support her."

’Two legendary paths?’ Marcus was stunned. Compared to her talent, his own achievents suddenly felt ordinary. He wondered if there was anything hidden within himself, any untapped affinity that could place him on a similar path, or if that level was simply out of reach for him.

"Commander," Anya said quickly, speaking before Marcus could gather his thoughts. "Could you take a look at Marcus too? Does he have any potential for this? Is it possible for him to beco an Elental Knight?"

She was happy for Chloe, but Marcus mattered to her more than anything. The idea of him falling behind made her uneasy.

"Yeah," Chloe added, her competitive edge finally returning. "Does this jerk actually have any talent at all?"

Even if this was only a ga, she did not want him drifting forward without direction. He might be the top-ranked player in Dominion right now, but if there was a way for him to grow stronger, she was not going to let him miss it.

Then she noticed Marcus smiling at her again, and the realization hit her too late. She was showing far too much concern for him, almost as if she were admitting sothing she refused to acknowledge.

Chloe was not ready to give him that satisfaction. Old grievances resurfaced, and she convinced herself once again that his past behavior and wandering attention were to bla for everything. Her expression hardened as she shot him a sharp look, the word "jerk" firmly back in place.

Marcus only grinned wider. He enjoyed this side of her. He knew that if she truly disliked him, she would not bother reacting at all. The fact that she still tried to provoke him ant more than she realized.
