"Hmm?" Unsurprisingly, Valyr imdiately had a frown on his face the mont he heard the words the two said to him.
After all, from the auras the two were giving him, the young man had a strong feeling that the current situation would turn out similarly to the 'combat readiness test' he'd inadvertently gotten himself into on his first day at the base.
Though, seeing as he sensed no hints of malicious intent in their gazes whatsoever, Valyr eventually decided to hear them out, letting out a faint sigh as he cald himself down. "What can I do for you two?"
Hearing the question that left Valyr's mouth, the two n imdiately let out faint sighs of relief, only for them to bicker at each other not long after. "I told you earlier that now wasn't the right ti. Didn't you see he was frowning when we showed up in front of him?"
"I know that." The other man frowned before sighing once more. "But if you think about it, there really isn't much opportunity for us to co in contact with him, considering that all of us are constantly taking up missions to push our ranks."
"It's either we make the most out of the opportunity we have, or wait until an opportunity cos," the man continued, only to let out a wry chuckle soon after. "Knowing the two of us, we'd rather take the forr than the latter."
"Uh… may I ask why you two decided to stop ?" Listening to the conversation that unfolded between the two, Valyr was able to ascertain his thoughts that the two held no malicious thoughts whatsoever.
With that, he looked at the two with slight curiosity as a question left his mouth.
"You were planning to head to the mission halls, right?" asked one of the n with a kind smile, to which Valyr nodded in response. "We apologize for disturbing you, but we promise that we'll only take up a bit of your ti."
"Before we begin, let us introduce ourselves." At these words, the man that was speaking took a couple steps forward before turning the smile on his face into a confident grin.
"The na is Zuo. Zuo Shou," said the man, his jade green irises glinting under the rays of the sun, forming a harmonious contrast with his head of spiky black hair.
"You," replied the other man not long after, prompting Valyr to take notice of the man's jade green hair. "The na's You Shou."
With both of them donning military uniforms that had a couple badges on their chests, the two gave off an awe-inspiring air, causing the young man to pay a bit more attention to what they had to say.
"In terms of our ranks, I'm currently a Colonel," said You to Valyr, deciding to continue where he left off. "It's equivalent to a 10-Star rcenary."
"As for , I'm currently a Major," said Zuo after that, his next line eventually causing the young man to look at them with his mouth agape. "My rank's equivalent to an 8-Star rcenary."
Though he'd gotten his strength verified to be able to handle missions that were made for 10-star rcenaries, Valyr's current rank was still that of 6-star rcenary.
With that, he found it odd that two people with high ranks decided to reach out to him all of a sudden, prompting him to wonder why they decided to obstruct him in the first place.
'Then again, the fact that they've obstructed in the first place is already odd as is,' thought Valyr to himself, deciding to remain silent as the two planned on continuing their explanation.
"Now that we've introduced ourselves, let us tell you the main reason why we've stopped you." Seeing as the young man was remaining silent as they talked, Zuo understood what he needed as he stopped beating around the bush. "We plan to invite you into our War Squad."
"War Squad?" Unsurprisingly, Valyr raised his eyebrow as he looked at the two in curiosity. "What's a War Squad?"
"It is what the na says it is," replied You to the young man's question. "A small group of people working as one on the battlefield."
At those words, Valyr slightly frowned. "Wait… I'm slightly confused. What differs a War Squad from a normal squad? Just so you know, I've gotten a lot of invites in the past to join people's groups."
"We know." The two nodded in response to his words, only for Zuo to shed light on the young man's confusion soon after. "As for the difference, it's the fact that a War Squad is officially recognized by the military, giving it access to features and facilities that a single mber wouldn't normally have access to."
"How many people does one need at minimum to create a War Squad?" asked Valyr after that, his expression now returning to that of curiosity.
Getting the feeling that the young man was purely asking the question out of curiosity, the two replied. "Three people. At most, you could only have 10 people in one War Squad."
"I see." Valyr nodded in understanding. "And you're inviting into your War Squad for what reason, exactly?"
"For the upcoming Elite War Squad Tournant," replied You, his eyes glistening with excitent. "Do I need to explain what the tournant entails?"
"I think I have a good idea." Valyr shook his head in response. "So, basically, you two are recruiting into your War Squad for the upcoming Elite War Squad Tournant because of my strength, I presu."
"That would be correct." The two nodded in agreent. "We're trying to recruit the best mbers we can into the War Squad to make sure we'd win first place at the upcoming tournant."
"With that being said, you're definitely one of them," said Zuo with a grin. "In just a week, not only have you shown the strength one should expect from a 10-star rcenary, but you've even raised your rank to 6-Star rcenary!"
"Not to ntion the nickna people have begun to give you on the battlefield," continued You. "A flash of azure is a signal for despair. The Azure Blade."
"I'd like it if you don't call by that nickna," said Valyr in response, his expression clearly showing the two the disapproval he had.
Taking in a deep breath after that, he then asked the two, "Anyways, if I join your War Squad, what's gonna be in it for ?"
"Aside from the features and facilities any War Squad has access to, we'll give you a decent amount of rit points and a set of special elixir," replied You with a confident smile. "However, considering your track record so far, those won't really entice you."
"Thus, if you join our War Squad, you'll be able to access missions made for Brigadier Generals," continued the man with a grin. "In other words, missions for Iron rcenaries."
"So… how about it?"
