1153 The Caelio Clan
"Wait a second…" Though Valyr was more than willing to say yes to the question, Riekan's words made him think back to the ti they talked about the necklace in the dungeon. "Didn't you say back then that this necklace would lead back to you if I reached a high enough level so you could upgrade it?"
"That it would. The necklace would still do that, actually." Riekan nodded in agreent, only to notice the young man raising his eyebrow in response.
Seeing the slight confusion on the young man's face, it did not take long for him to understand the cause.
"When I say a high enough level, I ant that the necklace would lead you to when you reached the peak of Rank 5," explained Riekan, only to ponder over the matter for a bit after that.
"Then again, it probably would've been better if the necklace also guided you to where I was when you reached Rank 3."
"Either way, the final version of the necklace would've been more or less the sa," said the man at the end, slightly shrugging his shoulders at the thought. "So, do you want to upgrade the necklace or not?"
"I do." After obtaining an explanation from Riekan as to why the necklace hadn't led him to the man all this ti, Valyr had no more qualms in requesting the man's aid.
Though, just as he was about to take off the necklace to give it to the man, Riekan stopped him at the very last minute.
"Now, hold on just a second." The man looked at Valyr with a bitter smile. "Although I did say I'd upgrade your necklace, I didn't say I'd upgrade it here."
"Think about for a bit. All of us here have been caught unaware since we've been teleported to this place all of a sudden. If I knew we'd be transported to this place and knew that you'd show up at so point, I would've brought my tools and materials with ."
"Unfortunately for you, all I've brought with are the essentials I usually bring when I go outside," continued the man, the bitter smile on his face deepening. "And that's only because I was traveling through the wilderness."
"How would you upgrade the necklace, then?" asked Valyr in response, briefly wondering whether he was weird for having always having all of the tools ready to set up a portable workshop in his spatial bracelet.
"Back in Veldanyr, of course," replied Riekan as a matter-of-factly. "Then again, that'll still depend on how we do on the fifth round of the tournant."
"However, in the off chance I get sent back to Veldanyr first, look for the main branch of the Caelio clan the mont you get back." As these words left his mouth, Riekan took out a piece of flint from his spatial bracelet.

"However, in the off chance I get sent back to Veldanyr first, look for the main branch of the Caelio clan the mont you get back." As these words left his mouth, Riekan took out a piece of flint from his spatial bracelet.
Then, infusing it with his energy, he swiftly carved it into the shape of a gem that gave off a faint hint of his aura.
Giving the flint gem to Valyr, he continued, "Once you're there, give them this gem and tell them that I sent you. They'll know what to do after that."
"And if I were sent back to Veldanyr first?" asked Valyr as he stowed the flint gem into his spatial bracelet.
"Sa thing." Riekan faintly smiled. "Find the Caelio clan and give them the gem."
"They'll know what to do once they see it."
Though Riekan said it in a way that made it seem like there was nothing else to think about, Valyr could not help but feel like there was more to the flint gem he received than ets the eye.
However, with there being a great disparity in strength, the young man could not figure out what it could be, sensing at most from the gem that hints of Riekan's aura was imbued into it.
'Perhaps he infused a ssage into the gem alongside his aura?' thought Valyr to himself, feeling like such a setup was highly likely to be the case.
Yet, as Riekan himself seed to have moved on from the matter, the young man was left with no choice but to move on from the matter as well, returning his attention back to the floating platforms.
Of course, even though he was keeping an eye on the fights that were happening, Valyr still talked with Riekan from ti to ti, finding out a few more things about the man that he wouldn't have realized at first glance.
For one, the man was actually one of, if not the best accessory maker on Veldanyr.
Most of the ti, his accessories boasted effects and stat bonuses that were a cut above the rest. However, what truly put him on the spotlight were the accessories he crafted that boasted effects that could only be described as heaven-defying.
A great example of that was none other than the Necklace of Enlightennt Valyr had gotten from the man, which theoretically allowed him to unlock all Basic-level advancents on his Technology Tree without spending even a single Technology Points.
Because of that, the young man donned a wry smile when he heard Riekan talk about how many people in the past would co from various kingdoms and cities just to get their hands on even a single accessory he made.
Sadly for them, due to him needing to fulfill a promise to an old friend, he'd disappeared from the spotlight for centuries, causing people to instead shift their attention towards the clan he made from scratch.
The Caelio clan.
"During my younger days, it was one of my goals to establish a clan," said the man as Valyr listened intently.
Feeling his eyes beco slightly wet as various thoughts coursed through his mind, Riekan briefly took a deep breath before he continued. "That's because I was born an orphan. In my youth, I had no one to rely on but myself."
"With the help of a few important people in my life, I was able to establish a footing of sorts and settle down. At so point after that, I found the love of my life and started a family with her."
"I taught all I could about the art of accessories to my kids after they grew old enough. After all, it was the main reason why I could get to where I was at the ti," said Riekan to Valyr. "Thankfully, they were able to transform what I taught them into their own abilities, allowing the clan to find its footing once they beca adults."
After that, Riekan gave Valyr a rough overview of what happened to the clan after that, such as how it beca known throughout the continent as the clan everyone should go to for their quality accessories.
Coincidentally, the final batch of people on the platforms finished their fights just as Riekan was finished explaining, thus ending the fourth round for good.
