Whoosh!
Similar to the sensation he experienced back when Adam changed his body to that of his actual self, Valyr felt as if all of the strength in his body was being siphoned to so far-away place, making him think as if it was impossible for him to reclaim such strength in the future.
Though, by the ti he felt like there was no strength in his body left, waves upon waves of strength began to course throughout his body all of a sudden, each wave carrying a flavor that he'd beco more than familiar with over the past few years he was in Veldanyr.
While that was happening, the various parts making up his entire body began to shift into another form, allowing more strength to surge out from the depths of his body as he eventually took on an appearance that he thought he wouldn't be seeing in the near future.
"…I'm back." Closing his eyes for a bit as he gave himself all the ti he needed to acclimate and adjust to all of his strength returning, Valyr soon let out a low sigh as a smile appeared on his face.
Doing a once-over on his entire body with the help of so Water-based magic, the young man was eventually able to confirm that he had truly returned as Valyr Zeihardt, allowing the slight doubt he had at the back of his mind to finally disappear once and for all.
"The shifting between strengths will definitely take so getting used to," muttered Valyr to himself, briefly checking through his status screen to see if the fact that he now had two identities caused his current strength to drop one way or another.
Seeing that nothing in his status screen seed amiss, he then moved onto his list of skills, eventually finding four new ones that weren't there back when he had yet to be fused with his past self.
"As expected," said the young man to himself, letting out a slight chuckle after confirming that his earlier suspicions were correct. "[Soul Shift], [Soul Fusion], [Soul Split], and [Mark of the Fifth Administrator]."
"I had a feeling those skills would be carried over."
"It wouldn't make much sense otherwise," he continued, letting out the breath he'd been subconsciously holding for quite so ti.
With him now having confird firsthand that he'd be able to switch back and forth between being an NPC and being a player without issues, Valyr imdiately felt as if a massive weight had been lifted off his shoulders at that mont.
Then again, that relief soon turned into excitent not long after as he recalled the idea he ca up with earlier. Specifically, the idea he had that would allow his player self to gain a massive head start over the other players.
'Well, it's not like I have all the ti in the world in this form.' Suppressing the excitent he felt at that mont, Valyr decided to bring up the remaining ti he had in his current form before conjuring a spatial rift in front of him.
'Gotta make the most out of the limited ti I have as possible.'
'With that… ti to head to the Mystic Plane.'
…
Whoosh!
Closing the rift he opened behind him, Valyr soon found himself within the iridescent landscape of the Mystic Plane, promptly reminding him of the last ti he entered the concept plane.
'Last ti I ca here was when I asked Mystia to contact Riekan in my stead,' thought Valyr to himself, only to let out a wry chuckle as he thought about the events that ca soon after he left.
'Now that I think about it, if I include the fact that Veldanyr couldn't be accessed by the players for a day, only two days have passed in Greater Beyond since the incident with the Vessel of Envy.'
'To think a lot has happened to since then…'
'Welp. Ti to find Mystia.'
"[Flash of the Azure Dragon]."
"[Flight of the Azure Dragon]."
Whoosh!
Faintly letting out a sigh of amazent at the thought, the young man began to move through the Mystic Plane at the fastest speed he could muster.
At the sa ti, he took his ti at the Mystic Plane as an opportunity to see if the difference in ti flow also affected how much ti he had left before [Soul Shift] deactivated on his own.
Fortunately, it did not take long for him to obtain the answer to that question, seeing that each second on his duration counter ticked down slower within the Mystic Plane than it did back in Veldanyr.
Seeing that, it did not take long for him to co to a conclusion. 'In other words, I could theoretically stay as my NPC self forever, given that I'm in so sort of place where the difference in ti is high enough for it to be feasible.'
Though, as he pondered over the matter a bit further, a bitter smile soon began to creep up onto his lips. 'But what's the point of doing that if I wouldn't be able to fulfill my goals in that place?'
Briefly shaking his head as he decided not to think about it any further, Valyr swiftly returned his focus to finding where Mystia was, eventually recalling where she was the last ti they t up.
Getting the feeling that she'd still be there even though over a week has passed in the Mystic Plane, the young man decided to trust in his gut feeling, only to find out that they were correct the mont he found two familiar silhouettes appear in his view.
"Oh?" Feeling a presence appear high above the air behind them, both Mystia and Marcus turned to look at who it was, causing their eyes to widen in slight surprise after realizing it was Valyr.
"Back so soon, Valyr?" Watching the young man land on the ground before her with a slight smile on his face, Mystia looked back at him with a raised eyebrow before returning to the work she was doing. "Didn't you ask for my help looking for Riekan earlier?"
"I did." Valyr nodded, briefly glancing at Marcus before returning his attention to Mystia. "Coincidentally, I was able to et up with him the mont I left the Mystic Plane."
"So, you were able to fulfill his request, then?" asked the woman in response.
"Let's just say the scope of it extended far beyond what it originally was," replied Valyr with a slight chuckle before shifting the topic of the conversation to what he wanted to talk about. "Anyways, I didn't co here to update you on that."
"Instead, I wanted to ask you for a favor."
"What kind of favor?" asked Mystia, glancing back at the young man with a slightly raised eyebrow.
"I just need a couple of elixirs and potions. That's all," replied Valyr with a slight smile.
"Though, it would be nice if I could also get the Tincture of Heavenly Reconstruction back."
