"Evolve my class…?"

As those words left Arcane's mouth, Valyr briefly looked back at her in confusion.

Then, a few seconds later, his gaze shifted elsewhere, his expression pensive.

Although he should have really thought about it in the first place, it was only after she brought up the topic did he realize that he hadn't been paying any attention to evolving any of his classes as of late.

Even if it ant that his strength would greatly increase if he were to do so.

Mulling over her words a bit further, it did not take long for the young man to start admonishing himself, blaming himself over and over as he wondered why he hadn't taken advantage of such a simple way to improve his strength.

Thanks to the opportunity that was the Four Pillars' Inheritance, Valyr was able to transform his original class 'True Prodigious Blacksmith' into the Growth-type class 'The First Blacksmith'.

Then, thanks to Sellifer's teachings and his idea to fuse the Truth Weaver Scripture into the concepts of Azure Energy, he was able to transform his previous subclass 'Shadow Serpent Manalancer' into the 'Four Paths Azure Warlord' subclass he had today.

After that, with him making a trip to the ltierre Empire, he was able to beco Mystia's disciple and the Guardian of the Mystic Plane, earning him the subclass 'Mystic Rune Alchemist'.

Adding the 'Emissary of the Arcane' class he had through his player identity, Valyr had a total of four Growth-type classes and subclasses under his belt.

Yet, all this ti, only one among them had been improved to their next tier, which was 'Four Paths Azure Warlord'.

'…I've really neglected my classes all this ti,' concluded Valyr in his mind, inwardly letting out a sigh filled with disappointnt towards himself.

'Sure, I've already fulfilled so of the prerequisite quests needed to evolve my other self's main class to the next grade, but that was while I was doing the quests for my first subclass.'

'Did I do any of the remaining missions needed to evolve my main class after that?'

The young man inwardly shook his head at the question.

'I didn't even touch it one bit.'

Continuing to ruminate over the various thoughts that were lingering in his head, Valyr eventually let out a slightly exasperated sigh.

Shifting his gaze back to Arcane, he then gave her a slight nod. "Alright. I'll try my best to do it as soon as possible."

"The sooner, the better," replied the faceless woman back, her tone that of gratitude. "However, evolving your class once is not enough. You'll have to evolve your class to the next tier for what I have in mind to be effective."

"The next tier?" Hearing those words, Valyr briefly looked at her once more in confusion before eventually nodding, having a rough idea of what she ant by that. "Anyways, what's the reason for having to evolve my class?"

"As I've said, I'll give you a proper explanation once the right ti cos," said Arcane, her expression serious. "Trust when I say that it's better for you to remain in the dark about it for now, Ataraxia."

"Can't you at least give a clue or two?" asked Valyr, letting his curiosity get the better of him. After all, what was so important to her that needed him to evolve his class to the next tier as soon as possible?

Whoosh!

Though, just as a few possible answers began to pop up in his mind, he soon felt Arcane's aura flare up in response to his words, feeling her glare daggers directly at him the very next second.

Even if she had no eyes to speak of whatsoever.

Being reminded as to what kind of being he was talking to at that mont, the young man made the wise decision to imdiately shut up, his expression silently telling her that he was not going to pursue the matter any further.

"…Fine." Nevertheless, in the end, Arcane decided to confide a bit to Valyr, fearing what the young man might possibly do if she were to continue keeping it a secret from him.

"But promise this first. You won't ask about this any other ti unless you evolve your class to the next tier. Understood?"

"Understood." Valyr nodded, imprinting the reminder in his mind at that very mont.

"Good." Nodding back in satisfaction, Arcane closed her eyes for a bit before looking at the young man with a solemn expression. "Now, the reason why I need you to evolve your class has sothing to do with an organization called the Arcane Consortium."

"Arcane Consortium…" murmured Valyr to himself, only to then briefly give her a look of curiosity. "Is the organization connected to you sohow?"

"It used to… but not anymore." Arcane shook her head in response. "Let's just say that they're willing to do everything in their power to bring you to them."

"And evolving my class helps you out with this organization how?" asked the young man in return, to which the woman shrugged her shoulders.

"Can't say," she told him. "At least not until you evolve your class, that is."

"So… all you'll let know for now is that the Arcane Consortium wants to beco a part of their organization and that's it?"

"Pretty much." Arcane nodded back. "Serves as a good reason to evolve your class as soon as possible, if you'd ask ."

"It does." Valyr could only wryly smile. "I'm curious as to why they want to beco a part of it, but I'm guessing you won't tell that either?"

"Nope." The woman faintly smiled back.

"Got it." Hearing those words, the young man faintly sighed as he nodded. "Anything else I need to keep in mind?"

"Uh…" Rubbing her chin for a bit, Arcane eventually recalled sothing she wanted to tell Valyr. "Right. Once I bring you back to where you were, only a minute or so would've passed. Just keep that in mind."

"Got it." Although he was slightly caught off guard by the ti ratio between the space they were in and Veldanyr, Valyr eventually recalled the absurd ti ratio he and Sellifer were in back in the Four Pillars' Inheritance.

"Now that I think about it…" Just as he thought that he was ready to head back to Veldanyr, a thought popped up in his mind. "How would I contact you after this?"

"I'm the personification of magic." Arcane chuckled at the question. "Is there really a need for that?"

"Even if you call for through your thoughts, I'll sense it and I'll answer."

"Now, off you go."

Whoosh!
