As the na left his mouth, Valyr briefly thought back to his interactions with her in the past.

Having arrived at Clossbay City primarily to create a foundation for his future, Valyr made his way to the city's Combat Training Hall in order to beco recognized as a Combat Elite.

Once there, he had beco acquainted with Arcenne, who he quickly beca friends with.

With her help, he was able to establish a foothold in the city as a blacksmith, even if that caused so unwanted attention to head his way.

Aside from that, she also helped him with the quest Damian had given him before he left for the city, eventually resulting in the mayor of the city being arrested for his actions.

Though the last vivid mory he could recall that involved her was his procurent of her custom armor, the young man thought of his ti at the city as good overall, especially considering that he had soone like her to keep him company every once in a while.

'I should find the opportunity to catch up with her once the tournant is over,' thought Valyr to himself after that, continuing to watch Arcenne fight for a bit more before opening up a chat screen.

Whoosh!

Drafting up a quick ssage containing his intent to et up, the young man eventually sent the ssage to her the mont she claid victory, causing the latter to slightly freeze up on the screen in response to the sudden ssage.

Fortunately, Arcenne took his ssage kindly, responding a couple minutes later to him that she would be glad to et up and catch up on what the two of them did after parting ways.

Faintly smiling in response to the positive reply he received, Valyr soon returned his attention back to the magic screens, watching more of the fights unfold as he waited for both of their turns to arrive.

"…Please head up to the surface once I call your designated number."

"What batch are we on now?" Taking a sip of the glass of iced tea he just ordered, Ataraxia briefly glanced at the organizer before asking Valyr.

"The 5th batch, I think," replied the latter in return, his attention still mostly on the magic screens broadcasting all of the ongoing fights. "Quite surprising that we still haven't been called."

"You think this is her way of showing preferential treatnt of us?" asked Ataraxia in response, to which the young man faintly shrugged in response.

Seeing as his original identity was still focused on the ongoing fights, Ataraxia took it upon himself to listen to the numbers being called by the organizer in case either of them were called to co up to the surface.

And surprisingly, one of them was actually ntioned by the organizer near the end.

"Making up the 95th battle, No. 309 and No. 367, please head to Stage F-7."

"No. 367…" murmured Ataraxia, only for his eyes to soon widen as he recalled that the number corresponded to Valyr.

With that, he tapped the young man on the shoulder a few tis, eventually succeeding in catching the latter's attention. "What is it?"

"You're up," said Ataraxia, pointing at the organizer that was going through all the numbers once again. "They said your number."

"They did?" At those words, Valyr focused his attention on the numbers the organizer ntioned, only for his expression to turn solemn once he confird that his number had indeed been called to co up to the surface.

"Welp." Drinking up the remainder of the beverage he ordered minutes ago, Valyr eventually stood up from his seat and gave Ataraxia a nod. "Guess I'm heading out first."

"Won't take long for you to co back," said Ataraxia in return, slightly chuckling as he raised his glass soon after. "You'll be fine."

Smiling in response to his other identity's actions, Valyr soon made his way up the surface alongside the other participants that had been called, prompting Ataraxia to shift his attention towards one of the magic screens.

Seeing Valyr appear in one of them a couple of minutes later, the young man proceeded to drink a few more gulps of his iced tea before deciding to take a quick nap.

"…Let's just hope there never cos a ti where we have to fight each other."

Whoosh!

Feeling his senses sharpen just as he entered his designated stage, a faint smile traced on the edge of Valyr's lips as he took in his surroundings.

Just like the five platforms that were made for the second round, the 100 platforms for the tournant's final round were constructed in a similar manner.

However, unlike the five platforms that were surrounded with high walls, the platforms for the final round had slightly raised edges instead, possibly only for the sake of demarcating which platform was where.

Briefly glancing at the arbiter that would preside over his fight, Valyr's attention soon shifted towards the person he'd be fighting during the first round of battles, a lanky man whose arms were significantly longer than his torso.

"Ylvar, yeah?" asked the man, a toothy grin adorning his face.

Valyr nodded at those words. "And you?"

"Zabek," the man replied, rubbing his bandaged fists together in excitent. "I've heard you're one of the strongest participants in this tournant?"

"I don't know about being one of the strongest." The young man faintly smiled. "However, I do consider myself as being sowhat strong."

"Quite the humble man." Zabek let out a slight chuckle. "I like your personality."

"But that doesn't an I'll hold back during our fight."

Valyr continued to smile. "I don't expect you to."

"…Are both of you ready?" Hearing how casual the two of them were talking to each other, the arbiter decided to ask them if they were ready to proceed with the fight.

In response, the two of them looked at each other and nodded before placing enough distance between them.

Turning around to look at the arbiter, the two then nodded once more, prompting the forr to nod in return as the match officially began.

"…Fight!"

Whoosh!

Activating a series of buffing skills to bolster his capabilities, Zabek radiated a bit of combat intent as he closed the gap between them.

"Show a bit of what the Mythslayer can do!" shouted the man, sending out a series of bizarre punches towards the young man.

In response, Valyr hastily brandished his spear as he deflected most of them. At the sa ti, he activated his usual set of buffing skills before responding.

"…If you insist."

"…"

"[Four Paths Azure War Arts]."

"[Four Paths Azure Ruination]."
