…
Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!
As the sounds of hamring consistently echoed from Valyr's workshop, the young man stared at the chestplate he was working on, his expression solemn as the gears in his mind continued to turn.
"Huu…" Letting out a long exhale to calm down his tense nerves, Valyr picked up his forging hamr once more, activating both of his ocular skills to remove all of the imperfections that remained on it.
Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!
While the young man was doing that, Ataraxia also used his own ocular skill on the side, sending snapshots of what his current vision looked like at opportune monts to the young man.
With that, Valyr was gradually able to remove all of the imperfections that were visible through their skills on the chestplate, approaching a level of quality that was rarely achieved by a blacksmith.
"…All that's left is to give it more of my blood and energy, and then infuse the essence of the Elder Wyvern Core into the current core."
Briefly taking a break after replacing all of the previous scales on the chestplate with the scales of an Elder Wyvern, Valyr closed his eyes for a bit to adjust his ntal state before finishing the task he had placed upon himself.
Whoosh!
After heating up the chestplate in the furnace one last ti, the young man went ahead and positioned one of his wrists above it, only to then make a deep cut on its surface in order for his blood to start flowing downwards.
Calmly watching the chestplate absorb every bit of blood he gave it, Valyr eventually closed the wound up with a quick healing skill after noticing that the chestplate was now saturated with his blood.
With that, he then proceeded to infuse the armor piece with his own energy, expending at least twice of what he gave to the pauldrons back then in a matter of minutes.
By the ti he reached an amount that was about four tis of what he gave to the pauldrons back then, the young man could not help but feel a hint of worry, not wanting to interrupt the copies that were still working alongside him.
Thankfully, it did not take long for the chestplate to beco saturated with his energy after that, consuming five tis as much energy as the pauldrons did by the ti it was done.
Checking to see if the incorporation of both his blood and energy into the chestplate introduced any new imperfections into it, Valyr took one last breather before taking out the final item needed to upgrade the chestplate out of his spatial bracelet.
"Here goes nothing…" Glancing at Ataraxia, who gave him a firm nod, the young man faintly nodded back in response as he activated his forging hamr's ultimate skill.
"[Breath of Beginnings]."
Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!
Understanding that the final upgrade step basically put him on a race against ti, Valyr mostly remained calm as he activated the energies slumbering within the Elder Wyvern Core with a bit of heat from the furnace.
Then, continuing to keep the volatility of the core active with a bit of his energy, the young man slowly began to extract the essence of the core through his skills, with each tap of the hamr causing a strand of the core's purified energy to co out.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Splitting part of his attention to send these strands of essence into the chestplate's core, Valyr continued to transfer the Elder Wyvern Core's power into it, his expression serious as he pushed his concentration beyond his utmost limits.
By the ti he extracted the last few strands of essence within the Elder Wyvern Core, the young man shifted all of his attention towards the chestplate, integrating the newfound power within the core with the entire chestplate as the piece of armor eventually began to hum with life.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Watching the final piece of his armor set take on a similar shade of dark blue to the other pieces, Valyr imdiately let out a wide sigh of relief the mont a series of notifications began to echo in his mind.
Taking a quick look through his notifications to see if he gained anything else from upgrading the chestplate, the young man soon used his identification skill on it after confirming that the system had only notified him of his successful upgrade.
Ding!

"I can finally check the other skills."
Skipping over the first two skills he'd already seen multiple tis from the other pieces he upgraded, the young man was ecstatic to finally see that the three remaining skills that were shrouded in mystery throughout the entire upgrade process.
Though he already had a rough idea of what each skill was capable of with how long he owned the True Wyvern Armor set, Valyr was still considerably surprised after reading through each of the skill's descriptions.
'Although [Breath of the True Wyvern] was a strong attack, it wasn't really sothing I used that often during fights,' thought the young man after seeing the skill be replaced with a domain skill instead.
Finding it slightly interesting that both his and Ataraxia's armor set now had a domain skill as the first active skill on their armor set, Valyr soon moved on to the two remaining skills, which he considered the main reason why he was able to punch above his own weight.
"Though they're still the sa skills in essence, they also now have a few quirks that make them better during an actual fight," muttered the young man, feeling a slight urge to activate the last skill just to see the phantom of the Elder Wyvern in action.
In the end, Valyr suppressed the urge for now, confident that an opportunity to see the skill in its full glory would eventually co to him.
With that, the young man looked at the pieces making up his newly upgraded armor set with a hint of pride, only to grab his hamr once more.
"Now that the upgrade is complete…"
"Ti to max them all out."
