Whoosh!

Appearing once more within the confines of the private workshop they were previously in, both Valyr and Ataraxia looked at each other with dumbfounded expressions, falling silent as their minds continued to replay the last conversation they had with Adam and Eve.

Continuing to look at each other for a bit more, Ataraxia eventually broke the silence that surrounded them. "...Don’t you think they dismissed our question a bit too quickly?"

Valyr faintly nodded at those words. "They probably have a good reason why they don’t want to talk about it with us."

"I guess..." Ataraxia shrugged, only for his expression to soon turn indignant. "But couldn’t they have at least given us even a bit of confirmation regarding our train of thought?"

"It’s not like I’d spread the news on Earth that powers people gained from Greater Beyond could be used there in the future."

Indeed.

Just like the two Administrators had expected from the duo’s probing questions, Valyr and Ataraxia did not take long to connect the dots, realizing that [Soul Entanglent] was just a precedent of what was to co.

Of course, that precedent also ca with a lot of questions attached to it.

To what extent would the powers they earned from Greater Beyond be accessible back on Earth? Would it only extend up to the skills they had? The titles they earned? The stats they accumulated?

...Or would there eventually co a ti where accessing the system was the sa on Earth as it was in Greater Beyond?

At the mont the two arrived at this conclusion, the two could not help but feel a hint of excitent towards it becoming a reality.

After all, who wouldn’t want to have access to a system like that? Especially if it allowed one to beco incredibly strong and live almost forever?

Though, as they pondered over it a bit more, that excitent eventually turned into slight fear towards the scenario, prompting the two to look once more at each other in silence.

Although the two had been successfully separated from one another by Adam and Eve, both Valyr and Ataraxia still shared all of the mories they had from before the separation.

With that, it ant that Ataraxia also had access to the sa treasure trove of mories Valyr did from his past life.

Through there, the two quickly realized that the current hypothesis they had was actually sothing Valyr had co across before.

However, this ti, he and Ataraxia now stood at the forefront of it all.

"The signs leading up to the final battle, huh..." Realizing that the skill that astounded them earlier was a precursor to what was to co, Valyr looked back at Ataraxia with a bitter smile, the gears in his mind turning as he thought about what the two of them could do with this newfound knowledge.

Yet, no matter how much he thought about it, he ca to the conclusion that he still didn’t have enough strength to do anything to change the course of fate.

"So this is why Adam and Eve didn’t give us any confirmation," said Ataraxia with a wry smile, having read through Valyr’s earlier thoughts through [Soul Entanglent].

"Because if they did, we’d just be reminded of how far we still have to go to really change anything."

"..."

For a while after that, the two fell silent once more, their gazes blank as a feeling of dread slowly began to well up within them.

Though, just as quickly as that feeling of dread appeared, it did not take long for it to disappear as the two eventually let out low sighs.

"Well, it’s not like the final battle is gonna happen any ti soon," said Valyr, shifting his perspective over the entire thing to sothing a bit more positive. "It did take many years for the final battle to unfold, after all."

"Plus, even if the final battle does start early, it definitely wouldn’t be as early as now," added Ataraxia soon after, allowing the two to finally extricate themselves from the downward spiral of thoughts they had just re monts earlier.

"Anyways..." Letting out a calming sigh at those words, Valyr closed his eyes for a bit before looking at Ataraxia. "Now that we’re practically free to do whatever we want again, what are your plans for the anti?"

"Probably a good ti for to check on the guild," replied Ataraxia, a slightly bitter smile creeping up on his face as he took a quick glance at their guild’s chat.

Seeing how many ssages he got from them that he didn’t read after the Myriad Prodigies Tournant was over, a sense of guilt washed over the young man, feeling like now was the perfect ti to make things right.

"How about you?" After giving his guild mbers a heads-up that he’d be heading back to the guild soti later, Ataraxia looked back at Valyr and asked the sa question.

"Well..." Valyr let out a chuckle after giving the question so thought. "Completing the task Byron gave to is definitely one of them."

"Aside from that, I have to update myself with the situation regarding the frontlines and the Zeihardt clan."

"Though, I should probably tell you now that I might summon you here when it’s ti for to actually forge the masterwork arquebus," added the young man at the end, his expression serious. "That wouldn’t be a problem, right?"

"I don’t think so." Ataraxia thought about it for a bit before shaking his head. "Then again, if it ever does beco a problem, I’ll let you know through our skill beforehand."

"Got it."

After deciding to check through the skills Adam and Eve modified for them a bit more in detail, it was only then did Ataraxia leave the private workshop, finally leaving Valyr off on his own.

"...It’s been a long while since the last ti this happened," muttered the young man to himself, chuckling as he briefly checked the stable connection he had with Ataraxia through their skill.

"Excluding the tis I was on my own thanks to [Soul Shift], the last ti things were like this was... almost a year ago, I think."

"Anyways, I suppose I should get to business," said Valyr to himself soon after, his mind briefly thinking back to the conversation he had with Byron over the empire’s request.

Realizing that he had not yet gotten the specifics of the request from the empire itself, the young man went ahead and left the premises of his private workshop, savoring the freedom of moving through Veldanyr alone for the first ti in a long ti.
