"It’s been a while, Valyr."
After passing through the various winding corridors of Ecalos, the young man eventually found himself standing before a familiar face, the ssage he received from the system at that mont further centing that thought.
"It’s been a while, Vlrvadh," sent Valyr in return, grinning as he looked at the man. "How have you been?"
"I’ve been doing well," answered Vlrvadh as the two began to make their way to Dnal fo Nigiro. "In fact, you could say that I’ve been doing better since the last ti you t with us."
"Oh?" Reading those words through their chat, the young man raised his eyebrow in curiosity, wondering what Vlrvadh ant by that.
Fortunately, with how long the two haven’t seen each other, the man showed no hesitation in telling him what happened in the land of the Forsaken Ones during his disappearance.
Starting off his story with Valyr’s request to ask if any of the other Forsaken Ones wanted to venture back into Veldanyr, Vlrvadh explained that most of the people were hesitant towards the idea at first.
After all, for their entire lives, all they knew about the world was Dnal fo Nigiro and Ecalos.
Though they knew a bit about Veldanyr and what it ant to the race thanks to Ryvrthe, the Sapient One, most of the Forsaken Ones still thought that it was better for them to stay where they were comfortable with for the anti.
However, that train of thought began to change once the Sapient One decided to show himself to the masses, telling everyone that he planned to be among the first batch of people that would accompany Valyr back to Veldanyr.
At the sa ti, the man explained a bit more to the Forsaken Ones as to what Veldanyr ant to them, what it an to the existence of the entire Forsaken race.
Fortunately, that was enough to change the minds of so of the more courageous among them, bringing the total number of people who would accompany Ryvrthe back to Veldanyr in the first batch up to 5.
"If you also include , then there’d be seven people who would be coming with you on the way back to Veldanyr," wrote Vlrvadh, his expression that of slight anticipation. "That’s why you finally ca back, right?"
"...Yeah," wrote Valyr after giving it a bit of thought, only to then start feeling guilt as he noticed the man beginning to look at him with a grin on his face.
After all, although he’d already begun to draft plans for the mass migration of the Forsaken race before Greater Beyond’s public release, he had not acted upon any of his plans whatsoever.
With that in mind, he was certain that the first batch that would co along with him would undoubtedly be disappointed...
Especially considering that the first sight they’d have of Veldanyr would be nothing but barren, undeveloped land.
’I’ll have to draft up so temporary asures with Ryvrthe once I et up with him,’ thought the young man to himself, glancing at Vlrvadh’s grin once more as he made up his mind.

"Good to see you again, Valyr."
After arriving at Dnal fo Nigiro with Vlrvadh, it was no surprise that many of its inhabitants looked at the two with adoration and worship, prompting the young man to be reminded of his reputation within the place.
Spending a bit of ti with the locals while Vlrvadh sent a ssage to Ryvrthe, Valyr was soon inford that he could et up with the Sapient One, prompting the two to look at one another with smiles on their faces as they t up after a long ti.
"Ryvrthe," replied Valyr to the greeting, his smile sowhat apologetic. "I apologize for making you wait for so long."
"It’s fine," said Ryvrthe in return, giving him an assuring smile. "It’s only been over three weeks or so since you last ca here. Waiting for that long isn’t really that much ti."
"Is that really so?" Hearing the man’s words, the young man only felt worse. "Over nine months have already passed on Veldanyr since our last eting."
"Has it really been that long?" Ryvrthe looked at him with slightly widened eyes.
In response, the young man could only faintly nod, prompting the two to fall sowhat silent afterward.
Glancing at each other for a bit, Ryvrthe took it upon himself to break the silence that surrounded them. "So, what brought you to the inheritance to co et ?"
"Well..." Briefly scratching the back of his head, Valyr decided to set his current train of thought aside for the anti as he recalled the main reason why he ca here.
With that, he began to tell Ryvrthe a bit about the mission the empire had given him regarding the arquebus, specifically the part where they wanted him to remove the need to light a fla in order to use the firearm.
Seeing that he had brought the man up to speed, Valyr then proceeded to talk about his train of thought over the matter, such as the improved firing chanisms he could make use of with his knowledge up to the Renaissance Age.
"At first, I thought about improving the firing chanism of the arquebus to the flintlock chanism," said the young man. "But then, I eventually thought that even a wheellock chanism would fit the criteria they had."
"Considering the requirents they gave you, the wheellock chanism is indeed enough." Ryvrthe nodded in agreent, only for confusion to appear on his face a few seconds later. "Wait... since you’re here, are you planning to do more with the arquebus beside that?"
"Yeah." Valyr nodded, inwardly relieved that Ryvrthe had quickly caught on. "I still plan on just improving the arquebuses I’ll be giving to the empire to a wheellock chanism. However, I plan to modernize my own arquebus and go beyond a simple flintlock chanism."
"The caplock chanism..." murmured Ryvrthe in understanding, the gears in his mind continuing to turn amidst their conversation.
"Although your knowledge goes up to the First Industrial Revolution, the level of knowledge you could readily apply only extends up to the Renaissance Age," said the man soon after, staring at the ground as he sorted out his thoughts.
"Having knowledge of the Renaissance Age is enough for you to craft the simplest flintlock chanism... However, if you want to create even the simplest caplock chanism, you’d need in-depth knowledge of the late First Industrial Revolution to do so."
"Aside from that, you’d need to redesign your arquebus from the ground-up to be capable of firing bullets with percussion caps, which is vastly different from the design it currently has."
"In short, you want my help in transforming your arquebus into a modern firearm," concluded Ryvrthe, to which Valyr nodded in agreent.
"Not only that, but thanks to the conversation I had with Vlrvadh earlier, there’s sothing else I want the two of us to work on," said Valyr in return, taking out a pile of raw materials from his spatial bracelet in the process.
"I know we’ve discussed this before..."
"But have you ever thought about actually trying to generate electricity?"
