Now reading: Chapter 1596: Breaking Barriers: The Trial’s Limits from MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith, a Action novel by TrueDawn.

"Wait... seriously?"

Hearing that the limit of the first trial was only twice the requirent needed to move on to the next trial, Ataraxia looked back at Aeramis with his mouth agape, feeling at a slight loss for words.

Though, once he saw the bitter smile that appeared on the latter’s face after the query, the young man understood that the 20th entity was indeed the limit of the first trial.

With that, even though the 21st entity looked to be raring to go for a race, the young man shifted his attention away from the set of cards before him as he ca to terms with the fact that he actually reached the end of the first trial.

"Although I’m certain that you would’ve been able to push past even the 30th entity as long as the trial permitted it, there’s a valid reason as to why the trial only extends up to the 20th entity."

Seeing that Ataraxia had finally begun to accept his words, Aeramis took it upon himself to enlighten the young man over the abrupt end of the first trial.

After all, even if he didn’t say anything, he was certain that the young man would ask him about it anyway.

Whoosh!

Conjuring a few wisps of energy, the man controlled those wisps to hover above his open palm. "Though I’m certain you already know of this, it bears reminding that an inheritance does not co out of thin air."

"Instead, the inheritance is built by its creator from the ground up," said the man, prompting Ataraxia to nod in agreent. "Whether it be the trials the inheritors would have to face, or the rewards that would be given out in the end, that all cos from the creators that make them."

"With that said, the capabilities of the inheritance the creator makes is highly dependent on their level of power," he continued, giving the young man a brief glimpse to a side of Greater Beyond he did not know.

"If the creator is at the level of a Legend, the inheritance they could make would only be usable to an Epic at most." At these words, Aeramis went ahead and separated one of the energy wisps to the side, only to then have it radiate an aura on par with an actual Legend.

"As for those on the level of Myths, the inheritance they make would be usable to both Legends, as well as Myths that one rank below them."

Sa as before, the man separated yet another wisp to the side before having it give off the aura of a Myth-level being.

"At that point, such an inheritance could be considered a cornerstone of a small power," said Aeramis, giving the young man a calm gaze. "After all, an inheritance on that level would pretty much guarantee soone of their ability to break through the Myth level."

"On the other hand, an inheritance made by an Ancient would be highly sought after by even Rank 10 Myths themselves," the man continued before pointing at himself with a slight smile.

Whoosh!

After that, he went ahead and released his aura for a brief mont, which unsurprisingly left Ataraxia with his mouth agape the mont it brushed against him.

Having clashed against Myth-level beings before, the young man could easily withstand the auras being released by the two wisps Aeramis separated.

Because of that, he thought that the aura an Ancient-level being would give off was only slightly stronger than what a normal Myth would be able to unleash.

After all, an Ancient was nothing more than a Myth that reached the pinnacle of strength, right?

Oh, how wrong he was.

Before he could even brace himself in front of the man’s aura, the young man felt as if his connection with the world had been cut off for that brief mont.

Though the strength he had accumulated through the class ranks was still there, the aura made him feel as if he had no ability to access that strength whatsoever.

In a way, it made him feel as if the world he was in at that mont revolved entirely around Aeramis.

Swoosh!

After retracting the aura he let out, it went without saying that Aeramis gave the young man all the ti he needed to snap back to reality, inwardly apologizing to the latter for exposing him to his aura without any warning.

Then again, even though he felt bad, he still knew that he had to do it, considering that being exposed to such powerful auras early on would help him on the path to the pinnacle later on.

’Though, there’s no reason for to tell him that,’ thought Aeramis to himself with a chuckle, only to then aid Ataraxia in his recovery after that.

Fortunately, it only took a couple of minutes for the young man to turn back to normal, albeit with a few changes compared to before.

For one, Ataraxia began to look at the man in front of him with slight fear in his eyes. After all, he now knew that he wouldn’t be able to escape death if Aeramis ever decided to take action against him.

At the sa ti, the young man also looked at the man with determination, the scorching flas of ambition blazing within him.

Seeing how the exposure to his aura bolstered the young man’s determination to greater heights, Aeramis could not help but give Ataraxia a slight grin as he continued where he left off.

"If what I’ve shown you thus far hasn’t already made it obvious, the inheritance you’re currently tackling is made by an Ancient," said the man, forcing the young man to push all the thoughts in his head to the side as he continued to listen.

"However, just like the differences between inheritances made by Legends and Myths, there’s also differences between the inheritances made by Ancient-level beings."

Dispelling the wisps of energy he had released earlier, Aeramis looked at the young man with a serious expression. "If a normal Ancient were to create an inheritance similar to mine, the limit of their first trial would probably be around the 14th entity at most."

"On the other hand, an Ancient Monarch like myself would be able to push the limits of the trial to around the 20th to 21st entity," he continued as he made a brief gesture. "The exact limit highly depends on the Nascent Law the Ancient Monarch ford."

"As for an inheritance made by an Ancient Sovereign, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to say that its limit would probably be around the 40th entity," said the man after that, which caused Ataraxia to look back at him with slightly widened eyes.

"There’s that much of a difference?"

"That much, yes." Aeramis nodded, a slightly bitter smile tugging on his lips. "Although gaining control over a Nascent Law brings one closer to the Divine level, a False Celestial Realm pretty much guarantees one’s ascension to the Divine level."

"I see." At those words, Ataraxia nodded in understanding. "So, if I were to summarize what you just told ..."

"The reason why the first trial stops at the 20th entity is because you’re weak?"

"..."

Hearing those words, the man could only remain silent.
