Now reading: Chapter 1683: The First Myth from MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith, a Action novel by TrueDawn.

Seeing the solemn expression that the man had as he spoke, the two remained silent as they looked at each other.

’The First Myth...’ said Ataraxia through their connection, the gears in his mind beginning to turn. ’By that, does he an...?’

’What else could it possibly be?’ replied Valyr, giving his other self a look that he already had an idea as to what was going on. ’We’re inheriting the legacy of the first person on Veldanyr to beco a Myth.’

’Wait... that doesn’t make sense.’ Noticing how quickly his other self had co to terms with the current situation, Ataraxia went ahead and rummaged through the mories they shared, eventually understanding the reason behind the forr’s expression.

’Since he’s the first person on Veldanyr to beco a Myth, then it’s most likely that he’s from the Age of Uprising,’ said the young man. ’However, the Age of Uprising was over 10,000 years ago.’

’If that’s the case, then how’s he still alive?’

Briefly glancing at Quentin in response to the question, Valyr looked back at his other self before letting out a slight sigh. ’To be honest, with how we were focused on the rewards we’d obtain from completing the trial, I didn’t notice it at first.’

’But, now that I’ve gotten a bit more ti to look at him, I’ve pretty much confird it.’

’He’s a mory extension.’

’A mory extension?’ asked Ataraxia through their connection as he began to look through their mories for more information.

Fortunately, it did not take long for him to obtain an answer, with mories from Valyr’s ti at the Four Pillars’ Inheritance swiftly surfacing within his mind.

’...I see.’ Going over these mories, he soon understood why his other self would say such a thing. ’Then again, I suppose it’s the only way the current situation would make sense.’

Valyr nodded at Ataraxia’s words in agreent. ’As you’ve said, over 10,000 years have passed since the start of the Age of Uprising. A Rank 7 Myth wouldn’t be able to live for that long even with the help of their concepts.’

’With that, there are only two possibilities how the First Myth is still alive.’

’The first one is that the man before us is a fraud pretending to be Quentin Protos,’ he said, only to then shake his head soon after. ’However, with how remote this place is, the likelihood of that happening is very low.’

’Instead, the second possibility is more likely, which is that the man before us is a mory extension of Quentin Protos.’

’A Quentin Protos that’s higher than Rank 7 at that.’

As he gave his other self a bit more information on what mory extensions were and how they worked, the young man could not help but recall the mory extension Vaughn had back at the Four Pillars’ Inheritance.

’I wonder how he’s doing?’

With the confusion they felt regarding the First Myth more or less sorted, both Valyr and Ataraxia eventually returned their attention back to the man in front of them.

"...How would we go about inheriting your legacy, Sir Quentin?" Valyr asked after giving the question a bit of thought. "Would we have to go through an additional test or sothing?"

"There’s no such need." Briefly giving the two a knowing look, Quentin shook his head in response. "If you two had to go through another test, then what’s the point of the tests beforehand?"

Whoosh!

Snapping his fingers after that, a small pedestal soon manifested in front of the two, being ford from the ground beneath them.

With its surface taking on a slightly curved shape, a crystal orb soon appeared on top of it, fitting into the surface’s curve as if it was ant to do so in the first place.

"Though it’s a sha that the two of you already declined to a greater challenge, the chanics of inheriting my legacy remains the sa."

"All you have to do is place one of your hands on the crystal orb and then unleash as much strength as you can," said the man before showing the two how it was done.

Swoosh!

With his actions rely an example of what Valyr and Ataraxia had to do, the man only released a tiny bit of his aura into the surroundings.

Yet, that small amount was already enough to make the crystal orb quake, as well as make the two freeze up in front of him.

Fortunately, Quentin did not flare his aura for that long, allowing the two to catch their breath as they noticed that the center of the crystal orb had begun to give off a faint glow.

"Depending on what kind of strength you unleash, a specific portion of my legacy would arise from the crystal orb, which would give you an opportunity to comprehend it," said the man, only to let out a faint sigh soon after.

"If you two had chosen to take on the additional challenge, each of you would have been able to obtain my entire legacy twice."

"Unfortunately, since you’ve declined my offer, then the two of you are only eligible to take half of it."

Hearing those words, both Valyr and Ataraxia looked at each other, already understanding what they needed to do without having to talk about it.

With that, the two of them eventually stood closer to the crystal orb, with Ataraxia being the first among them to touch the crystal orb.

Fwoosh!

Recalling that they needed to unleash as much of their strength as possible, the young man showed no hesitation in activating all of his buffs, even going so far as to activate [Soul Unification] at its minimum setting.

"...Say, Sir Quentin." While that was happening, Valyr took the opportunity to ask Quentin sothing that was bugging both him and Ataraxia the first ti they heard it. "What requirents did we fulfill to be able to take the Trial of Crystallized Truths?"

"All of them," replied Quentin, causing the young man to look back at him in surprise. "Though, that only applies when the two of you are together."

"On your own, you only fulfill two out of the three requirents needed to take the trial."

"Is it possible for you to tell what those requirents are?" asked Valyr, giving the man a look of curiosity.

"The first requirent is to have a main class that’s Mythic grade or higher." Shrugging his shoulders, Quentin began to list down the requirents one by one. "Both of you fulfill this requirent."

"On the other hand, your companion fulfills the second requirent, which is to have an Intent that already showcases so of the characteristics of a Force."

Valyr faintly nodded in understanding. "What’s the third one?"

"The third requirent is unlike the first two since it’s only catered to a certain group of people," answered the man. "Fortunately for you, you fall into that certain group."

"To be more specific, the third requirent is to be a Herald of the Zeihardt Clan and not know of the existence of the Trial of Crystallized Truths."
