Beyond the far-flung reaches of Greater Beyond’s universe, a pair of white-robed individuals stood in front of what looked to be a massive gate, their expressions that of uncertainty and nervousness.
"Seventh is on his way, right?" asked Adam, twiddling his thumbs as he walked around in circles.
"...He didn’t ss anything up, right?"
"...For the hundredth ti, I told you it’ll all be fine," replied Eve, letting out a low sigh as she shook her head. "Keep in mind that their side decided to contact Azazel first."
"The fact that he’s able to turn the conversation into a eting between the strongest beings of both universes already says a lot about his capabilities."
Listening to the words that left her mouth, Adam paused in his tracks for a bit, taking a few deep breaths after that to calm both his thoughts and emotions.
By the ti he felt like he’d cald down, the man looked at the gate for a bit, only to then shift his attention towards Eve not long after.
"My bad," he said, his expression slowly turning calm. "A long ti has passed since the last ti we’ve had visitors from other universes, after all."
"With how long it’s been, I’ve already kind of forgotten what to do at tis like these."
"...I suppose that’s to be expected from you," replied Eve, shaking her head once more as she shifted her attention towards the gate.
"In any case, what we need to do is pretty simple."
"If the other side is stronger than us, then we show them the proper amount of respect they deserve," she said, glancing at Adam for a bit. "Of course, we still have to show them that our universe is not so place to be trifled with."
"On the other hand, nothing changes if the other side is weaker than us."
"However, we do have to make sure that they have a positive opinion of our universe, or they think it’s a good idea to beco partners with our universe before they leave."
"Understood," replied Adam after mulling over the things she said to him.
"...Now that I think about it, did Azazel tell you the reason behind the sudden eting?"
"He did." Eve nodded, her expression becoming solemn as she felt the gate before them gradually open.
"Is it good or bad?" asked Adam in return, turning to face the gate as well.
"It’s good for us," replied the forr, taking in a deep breath to compose herself as the gate opened in its entirety.
"After all, their universe wants to fully adopt the energy our universe is using."
...
"My sincerest apologies for the long wait."
Whilst Adam and Eve continued to stare at the gate before them now that it was opened, the two of them eventually heard a familiar voice talk to them from the other side of the gate.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Keeping their eyes glued towards the gate, the two were soon greeted by the sight of a familiar being, prompted both of them to smile in response to his words.
"It wasn’t that long of a wait," said Adam, slightly grinning as he stared at the silver-haired man before them. "Even with the ti difference between our universes, it’s only been like... what? A year or sothing?"
"In any case, it’s good to see you again, Azazel."
"Likewise," replied Azazel with a smile, giving both Adam and Eve a slight nod.
"Actually, I thought it would take less ti for the eting between our universes to happen," he continued, letting out a soft sigh in the process. "Who knew it would end up taking more ti than expected?"
"Is there a reason why that’s the case?" asked Eve, noticing that two entities were still waiting on the other side of the gate. "Also, wasn’t the eting originally between us and their universe’s representative?"
"Why do I sense two people on the other side of the gate?"
"That’s part of the reason why it took longer than expected," said Azazel as he let out yet another sigh.
"It’ll all make sense once you et them, but to cut it short, their side decided to send another representative at the very last second to show their sincerity."
"Sincerity?" Recalling the reason behind the eting in his head, a slight frown appeared on Adam’s face as he looked at the man before him. "Is it really sincerity? Or is that just an excuse for them to show off more of their universe’s strength?"
"We do intend to showcase our sincerity."
Surprisingly, just as Adam expected Azazel to be the one answering his question, the man instead received his answer from one of the two entities on the other side of the gate.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Continuing to stare at the gate in response to those words, the three were soon greeted by the sight of a pair of old n.
Then again, even though their appearances were that of old n, the aura they faintly exuded gave the trio the opposite feeling.
"Our apologies if this sudden arrangent makes it seem like we’ve co with hostile intentions," said the old man on the left, his back slightly hunched as he relied on a wooden cane for support.
"We truly do not want our first eting with your universe to start off on the wrong foot," he continued, giving the trio a kind smile. "We just thought that this arrangent would be best for the interest of both sides."
"It doesn’t really seem that way," replied Eve, gazing into the clear irises the old man had.
Though, once she did, she felt as if all of her secrets and abilities had been utterly exposed in front of the old man’s gaze, causing her to inwardly shudder in fear.
Spending a bit of ti to catch her breath after that, Eve soon let out a long exhale, only to then return her attention to the two old n after that.
Noticing that the feeling she felt earlier had thoroughly disappeared, the woman glanced at Adam and Azazel for a bit before continuing where she left off.
"Well, since the two of you have already gone out of your way to co here, it would be rude on our part to force one of you to return," she said to them, her expression becoming sowhat cold.
"However, do keep in mind that we will take action."
Whoosh!
"Especially if your arrangent shows that it truly has hostile intentions in mind."
