"…"

"You do know you're practically sending them to their deaths, right?"

Just as Valyr and Ataraxia left the barrier to fight against the Giant Blazeworm King, Mystia asked Hath a question with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"You think so?" the latter replied, his gaze focused on the two young n running across the Infernal Badlands. "After seeing Ataraxia kill a Rank 7 in just one hit?"

"You've seen all of the preparations he's done," said Mystia in return, a hint of worry appearing on her face. "If not for that, then the outco of that fight with the Elder Wyvern would've gone in a direction neither of us would've liked to see."

"With that said, have you even seen Ylvar prepare anything before suggesting his idea?"

Hearing those words, Hath briefly went silent.

Through his silence, he pretty much agreed with Mystia that the young man hadn't prepared anything before deciding to fight against a peak Rank 7.

After all, with how Valyr showed no hesitation in fighting against a peak Rank 7 being after seeing that it would be difficult to fight one on the sa level Ataraxia fought, Hath already knew the idea was sothing the forr ca up with a whim.

Yet, he still agreed to it in the end.

Why?

Was it because he believed the young man could do the sa thing after seeing Ataraxia pull it off?

Or was it the confidence the young man exuded when he made the suggestion?

"…Though it seems like sothing he ca up with on the spot, he actually has the confidence to see his idea through." As Hath continued to mull over the cause behind his agreent, the man eventually figured out his answer.

Pointing at the two young n, he continued, "Didn't you notice that they kept their buffs active even after killing the Elder Wyvern?"

At those words, Mystia paused for a bit, only to then look at the two young n close the gap between them and the Giant Blazeworm King.

Sensing the auras they were currently emanating and comparing them to what they gave off while fighting the Elder Wyvern earlier, she soon realized that Hath's words were correct.

However, even though confirming that the two were going all-out relieved so of the worries she had, she still could not help but show concern.

After all, they were still going to fight a being at the peak of Rank 7, a being that even she did not dare take lightly.

Compared to a being that was at the early stages of Rank 7, a being at its peak could fight against a hundred of the forr and still co out mostly unscathed.

Of course, she already knew that Valyr already had experience fighting against a being of that caliber and stood victorious. However, she also knew that the young man went unconscious after doing so.

'Surely that wouldn't happen again,' thought Mystia to herself as she forcefully dispelled the series of negative thoughts that began to appear in her head. 'He's already ascended to Rank 5, after all.'

'Plus, Ataraxia's already shown that it's possible. If his student could do it, then surely he could do it too, no?'

Although she continued to repeat these words in her head to calm herself, she still felt a hint of worry, fearing that the worst-case scenario might co to fruition.

Yet, as Valyr finally raised his flintlock to fire at the Giant Blazeworm King, the exact opposite happened instead.

Bang!

Infusing almost all of his energy into that single attack, Valyr was able to land an attack on one of the Giant Blazeworm King's most vulnerable spots, causing the latter to start writhing in pain the mont the bullet made contact.

Then, just like what happened to the Elder Wyvern, the force contained within the bullet began to wreak havoc, destroying the Giant Blazeworm King from the inside.

By the ti the bullet lost most of its force, a great portion of its body had already been torn into bits of rock-like flesh and blood, dying the surrounding ground around the two a murky violet.

However, rather than stare at the carnage Valyr's attack had caused to the Giant Blazeworm King, both Mystia and Hath instead stared at the number that appeared not long after the attack.

'-109,142,355!!!'

"What…"

"…the fuck?"

With their eyes widened in surprise, the two looked at each other in disbelief, wondering if what they saw just now was an illusion of so sort.

Yet, no matter how much they looked at it, the pitch-black number that hovered above the Giant Blazeworm King remained the sa.

"…" Remaining silent as he continued to stare at the nine-digit figure, Hath closed his eyes for a bit before letting out a soft sigh.

"Forget my idea from earlier," he said, shaking his head. "There's no way anyone can match up to them."

"Even the most talented people I know that co to mind can't even hold a handle to what Ylvar just did. Heck, they can't even hold a candle to what Ataraxia did earlier."

"You're giving up just like that?" Closing her eyes for a bit to regain composure, Mystia eventually turned to look at Hath with slight amusent. "I haven't even told you where the two ca from yet."

"Would it even change anything?" Hath shrugged as he shook his head once more. "I'd be better off asking the two how they were able to unleash that much power instead."

"If so, perhaps the outpost would finally see so long-needed expansion because of it."

"…" Just as Mystia was thinking of what to say in response to his words, she caught a glimpse of both Valyr and Ataraxia celebrating their victory against the Giant Blazeworm King with glee in their eyes.

Yet, before they could even bask in the glory of their achievents for long, the two fell to the ground after that, unconscious.

"…"

"…yr!"

"Va… yr!"

"…Valyr!"

"Valyr, can you hear ?"

"Ngh…" Slowly opening his eyes after hearing his na being called, Valyr felt his back embraced by sothing soft as he was greeted by the sight of his other self looking at him in concern.

Turning his head to look around where he currently was, a slightly bitter smile soon appeared on his face as he quickly realized what happened to him.

"I… fell unconscious, didn't I?" he asked.

"You did." Ataraxia nodded, relief now beginning to appear on his face. "Just as your fight against the Giant Blazeworm King was finally over, my skill went into cooldown."

"And I'm guessing the backlash from that made the downsides of my own skill worse?" asked Valyr in return, now starting to feel a bit better.

"Honestly, I'm not sure." The forr could only shrug his shoulders. "After all, this is only the second ti that you've used the skill, no?"

"Third, but the first one was back when I still didn't have control over it," replied the young man, only to take in a deep breath as he sat on the edge of the bed.

"In any case, let's save that topic for another ti," he said soon after, realizing that the two of them were now within the Infernal Badlands' outpost.

After that, the two of them went silent, the gears in their minds whirring as they both pondered over their own thoughts.

Though, after so ti, Valyr looked at his other self with a slight smile before asking, "We did it, didn't we?"

In response, Ataraxia smiled as he nodded.

"That, we did."
