Roar!

"…" As the azure bolt he fired out transford into a dragon out of nowhere, Valyr watched it zoom through the air with his mouth agape, only for it to let out a bestial roar the mont it collided with the barren ground.

Bang!

Unsurprisingly, with how much force the bolt already contained when it was powered by his braided energy, powering the bolt with the Azure Sign had brought up its destructiveness to a higher level.

As the dust settled down, both Valyr and Sellifer noticed that the crater the bolt had made on the ground was both deeper and wider than before.

Not only that, but as they focused their senses on the crater, they could still faintly hear the draconic roar lingering around it.

"Huh." Having also seen the azure bolt also transform into a dragon out of nowhere, Sellifer looked at Valyr with both interest and slight confusion. "Who knew it would do that?"

"I wasn't even expecting it to do that," said Valyr in response, only for him to beco silent as his brows furrowed.

Seeing that the gears in the young man's mind were beginning to turn, Sellifer gave him the space and silence he needed to smoothen out his thoughts.

Of course, it did not take long for the young man to think things through, formulating a hypothesis revolving around his Azure Sign based on the braided energy he had created before.

'I have to try it out.' Though he had a strong feeling his hypothesis was correct, the young man went ahead and manifested the Azure Sign once more, causing a faint azure haze to cover his extended palm.

Then, activating [Arcane Shadow Bolt] once again, he used the Azure Sign to power the bolt, throwing it at a spot near the crater he had created with the previous bolt.

However, unlike the previous ti, he controlled the thoughts that ca out of his mind, recalling that the reason why the previous bolt into a dragon had sothing to do with an errant thought.

With that, the young man closed his eyes for a bit, only to stare at the bolt as he thought of infusing the elent of Fire into it.

Whoosh!

As the thought ca to mind, the bolt transford in front of his very eyes once more, turning into a fiery bird that Valyr was all too familiar with.

"Phoenix…" he muttered to himself, hearing the azure phoenix let out a screech before it collided with the ground.

Bang!

Unexpectedly, the depth and size of the generated crater was considerably larger than the previous bolt, prompting him to think that it was due to the influence of the elent of Fire.

But aside from that, faint azure flas covered the entirety of the crater, more or less confirming his suspicions on the form his Azure Energy had taken.

"I guess the uniqueness of your braided energy carried over," said Sellifer after Valyr was done casting his second bolt. "Because of the Intent Seed of the Four Elents, your Azure Sign can also take on similar properties."

"Though, I'm not too sure why your bolts turn into beasts while taking such properties," she added, to which Valyr inwardly let out a chuckle.

Now more than certain that it was the doing of his Intent Seed as to why his Azure Energy turned out that way, Valyr went through the remaining forms his [Arcane Shadow Bolt] had yet to take.

Imbuing his next two bolts with the Water and Earth elent, Valyr watched as the azure bolt took on the form of a turtle and a tiger, respectively.

Considering the unique qualities imbuing the bolt with the Fire elent had given him, the young man felt that the Water elent had caused the bolt to be more malleable and flexible in exchange for a bit less damage.

On the other hand, the Earth elent acted the exact opposite, its trajectory feeling incredibly rigid to the young man.

However, to make up for it, the Earth elent packed the most punch out of the four, forming a crater that was even larger than the one generated by the bolt imbued with the Fire elent alongside a series of scary-looking spikes.

Casting a bolt imbued with the Wind elent once more, Valyr more or less understood the unique properties the four elents brought to his Azure Energy.

"Wind for its speed, Fire for its lingering damage, Water for its flexibility, and Earth for its full-on offense," said the young man to himself, getting the feeling that the effects of the elents would differ depending on the skill he used it on.

Understanding that he would have to go through a ton of experintation once more to see the limits of his skills, Valyr went ahead and opened his notification screen, having ignored it ever since his first bolt transford into a dragon.

Ding!

[You have successfully fused Shadow Energy and mana together to create a higher level of energy known as Azure Energy.]

[As you have unlocked Azure Energy, your skills 'Shadow Energy Mark' and 'Arcane Mark' have fused together to form 'Azure Energy Mark'.]

[Note that the properties of both skills have carried over into this skill.]

[The grade of your Azure Energy Mark has improved to Sign.]

Reading through the first few notifications he had gotten, Valyr nodded in understanding as he brought up the description of the newly obtained Azure Energy Mark to the side.

Glancing at it for a bit, the young man swiftly returned his attention back to his notifications, seeing that he had gained a lot more than just the mark after obtaining Azure Energy.

[As you have unlocked Azure Energy, your skills 'Advanced Mana Manipulation' and 'Advanced Shadow Energy Manipulation' have fused together to form 'Basic Azure Energy Manipulation'.]

[Note that the properties of both skills have carried over into this skill.]

10:17

[The level of 'Basic Azure Energy Manipulation' has been reverted back to Level 1.]

[As you have unlocked Azure Energy, you have obtained the passive skill 'Interdiate Shadow Energy Affinity'.]

[As you have unlocked Azure Energy, your skills 'Advanced Mana Affinity' and 'Interdiate Shadow Energy Affinity' have fused together to form 'Basic Azure Energy Affinity'.]

[…]

[Due to your actions, the technique 'Arcane Shadow Bolt' under the skill 'Arcane Shadow Serpent Magic Style' has changed to 'Four Paths Azure Bolt'.]

"That… is a lot," said the young man to himself, realizing that what he had read so far barely scratched the surface of what changes Azure Energy brought to his skills.

With that, he decided to look at the other skills he had obtained soti later, his attention now focused on the description of Azure Energy Mark.

"Now, let's see what we have here…"
