Having already gone through the conversation where Vaughn explained his reasoning why he had been chosen to inherit the forr's position as the owner of the inheritance, Valyr thought that he was more or less ready for what was to co.
Though, that all changed after the man beside him talked about his knowledge regarding Valyr's reincarnation, his class rank, as well as his relation to the young man.
Being hit like a truck once more by what felt like a boatload of information, Valyr stared off into the distance in silence as he gave himself ti to process all of the things he'd heard once again.
Regarding the topic of Vaughn knowing the fact that he had reincarnated, the young man did not really take that much ti to get over it.
After all, the man had already ntioned it himself that he found out that Valyr was a reincarnator the very mont the group entered the inheritance, talking about a mismatched body and soul.
'Though it doesn't really matter in the grand sche of things if people know I'm a reincarnator, I should take the ti to ask Vaughn more about hiding that fact later on,' thought Valyr to himself, his body slightly shuddering in fear.
'Knowing that there are people out there with the possibility to know even that feels… exposing.'
Moving the matter of him being a reincarnator aside, the young man soon shifted his thoughts towards the man's ntion of him being a Greater God.
Hearing that, the young man's hypothesis from when the two t before had been proven.
In his mind, he thought that the only way Vaughn would be able to live through the various eras of humanity was if he had already broken through to the Divine level.
With confirmation from Vaughn himself that he was a Greater God, a title that was only given those that had achieved a Rank 13 class, the young man felt satisfaction from it.
'Then again, that doesn't explain the other parts of our conversation from before that feel off,' murmured Valyr to himself inwardly, finding his thought gradually shift to the final thing Vaughn had ntioned.
'His talented descendant…'
As this phrase ca to mind, a myriad of thoughts lingered within the young man's mind as he pondered over what Vaughn ant by those words.
Judging from the conversation they had before, Valyr thought that the reason why Vaughn had said that was because he was a product of the experint that the man had done, which was to revive humanity from scratch.
For the most part, the thought made quite a lot of sense to him.
However, as he thought about it for a bit more, there was one part to the whole thing that did not add up.
'How could I be related to him if the experint did not require any biological stuff from him whatsoever?' asked Valyr at so point, frowning as he continued to bask himself in the silence the place offered.
Of course, it did not take long for a plausible answer to form in the young man's mind, causing him to scratch the back of his head.
'The only way Vaughn could say that I'm a descendant of his is if he had added his own biological stuff at so point in the experint.'
With his mind lingering over that point, Valyr went through the mory of the entire experint once more, making sure to keep his eye peeled for the part where Vaughn sacrificed even a small part of his biology for the experint.
Yet, even after scrubbing through the entire experint from beginning to end, the young man found no trace of the man doing that whatsoever.
'What could he an by that, then?' thought Valyr to himself as he glanced at Vaughn.
Unsurprisingly, Vaughn looked as if he hadn't just dropped a bombshell of a statent to the young man, leisurely gazing at the sight before them.
Sensing Valyr's gaze, the man briefly looked back at him before flashing a faint smile, only to continue staring off into the distance not long after.
Knowing that he would end up asking Vaughn about it just for the sheer fact that he was curious as to what the man ant by it, the young man decided to give one last go to coming up a plausible answer to the question.
Though, unlike before, he did not constrain his thoughts anymore, allowing it to get wherever it wanted just so he could formulate sothing that sowhat made sense.
Going through all of the mories he had accrued throughout the inheritance so far, Valyr eventually formulated a hypothesis so outlandish that the chances of it actually being true were quite low.
But as he continued to think about it, the more it lingered in his mind, causing him to think that the outlandish theory he had was the exact possibility that made Vaughn say those words.
Of course, as he had no way to prove it yet, he pushed the thought to the side for the anti as he inwardly took in a deep breath.
"By your talented descendant, what did you an by that?" Looking at Vaughn directly in the eye, Valyr sported a calm expression.
In response, Vaughn looked back at him with a knowing smile, understanding the young man beside him had undoubtedly gone through a lot amidst the silence.
"Well… there is the option of answering your question right here and now," said the man as he opened his mouth, causing Valyr's eyes to glisten with expectation.
However, that all disappeared as the man soon let out a slight chuckle. "But where's the fun in that?"
At those words, Valyr bitterly smiled before letting out a sigh. "Couldn't you just tell outright?"
"I could…" Vaughn nodded. "But we'll be going through a ton of questions that would end up confusing you if that were the case."
"Instead, how about I utilize one of the rewards you'll get as a mber of the Gates of Transcendence to do that?"
Hearing that, the young man slightly tilted his head as he thought about how one of his rewards could do such a thing.
Of course, after pondering it for a bit, Valyr eventually found the answer to his question, prompting him to look at Vaughn with slightly widened eyes in realization.
"You won't mind if we go through the mories that are part of your rewards first, right?" asked Vaughn, to which Valyr obviously nodded in response.
With that, the man let out a small chuckle before nodding back, gesturing with his hands not long after as an ethereal form of energy began to envelop the two of them.
"Since you've already seen the past mories of the First Forger through the first two organizations, we'll obviously be viewing the mories of the First Forger that you haven't seen yet."
Feeling like the ethereal energy surrounding them was gradually carrying his consciousness to another place, Valyr slowly closed his eyes as he allowed Vaughn to do his thing.
Watching Valyr from the side, a faint smile adorned Vaughn's face as he muttered a few words that only he could hear.
"Thank the heavens you're fated with the path of the First Forger."
"With your intellect, I know you'll understand once you see it."
And with that, the man whisked both his and Valyr's consciousness off to another realm, arriving at a world of darkness not long after.
…
"How are our preparations for the final push?"
Hearing these words reverberate throughout the area, Valyr snapped back to reality as he shook his head for a brief mont.
Taking so ti to adjust, the young man quickly looked around to figure out what was going on, soon finding a large round table a fair distance below him.
Looking through the large number of people that sat behind it, Valyr's attention soon focused on one specific person among them, his identity now more than familiar to him with the mories he'd already seen.
'Looks like he's gone through a lot.' Recalling the words that had echoed throughout the area before, Valyr soon realized that it was the First Forger that had thrown out that question to the others.
"As a representative of the Forging Division, I could say with confidence that we have a surplus in both weapons and armor for the final push," said a man near the middle of the round table, eliciting a nod from the First Forger in response.
Not long after, a man near the First Forger spoke up, their words more concise. "Reconnaissance Division representative. All of the necessary information has already been compiled and will be sent to you shortly." After that, a young woman sitting beside the First Forger spoke up, her expression that of soone who had years upon years of experience. "The logistics division is more than ready to go, plus we've settled all the miscellaneous tasks you've given us. We're ready to proceed."
"Let's begin, then." Hearing all of the responses that had been given by the others, the First Forger nodded in satisfaction.
Then, without warning, the man stood up and unleashed the aura before revealing a toothy grin.
"Let's give those bastards hell, shall we?"
