Pondering over Vaughn's words for a bit, it did not take long for everything to click in Valyr's mind as his eyes widened in slight disbelief. 'Wait… you're telling he could still rember the technology the old humans used before the Great Cataclysm?'

Even though knowledge on technology existing in the First Industrial Revolution would already allow Valyr to dominate Veldanyr in many more ways than one, having access to technology far more advanced was undoubtedly a good thing.

After all, with all things considered, though the First Industrial Revolution was advanced compared to Veldanyr's current level of technology, it was still a far cry from the level of technology Veldanyr had reached in the past.

'That's the special genetic modification he got,' replied Vaughn, glad that Valyr quickly caught on. 'Aside from the usual increase in lifespan and the increase in physical and ntal strength, that's the only modification he wanted.'

Though Valyr did not think of it much at the ti, now that he knew more about the old humans through Vaughn, he now beca curious as to what kind of person Ryvrthe was in the past.

'Who really was Ryvrthe back then? Before he went through all of those reincarnations?'

'Vrauford Alicas. One of the greatest minds of Veldanyr before the Great Cataclysm,' said Vaughn, his tone slightly solemn. 'Similar to how I sought the betternt of humanity, he wanted the accumulation of all of humanity's knowledge, the foundation of humanity, to keep on living.'

Hearing that, it did not take long for Valyr to put two and two together. 'And that's why he chose that kind of modification.'

'Correct,' said Vaughn, making Valyr feel like the man was nodding at his words. 'It's a modification equivalent to multiple minor modifications to one's ability. With how complex it was, it's a surprise that it didn't perform poorly after he reached the end of his first life.'

'In any case, aside from being one of Veldanyr's greatest minds, he's also Veldanyr's leading researcher in the past.' As Vaughn said these words, Valyr felt like the man was telling him through his tone that he'd enjoy Ryvrthe's company.

'Though I'm sure so of it has gotten lost due to how many years have passed since his first reincarnation, I'm more than certain Vrauford would offer you all the information and knowledge you would need for the foreseeable future.'

'Got it.' With Vaughn telling him once more that he was making the right choice, Valyr made a ntal note to visit Ryvrthe in the inheritance soti later.

'If Ryvrthe is as great as Vaughn is making him out to be, it wouldn't be too big of a problem if I have to spend a bit of my own mana to change the ratio for a bit,' thought the young man to himself as he faintly nodded.

Talking for a bit more about Ryvrthe and the progress on the curse, the two eventually ended their conversation, prompting Valyr to store the talisman back into his spatial bracelet.

Then, staring off into one of the walls, the young man closed his eyes for a bit before letting out a long exhale.

"Guess I should get moving, then."

Standing up from his seat, Valyr did not take long to co up with an order on how he would go through things, deciding to visit the Blacksmith Guild first.

Sending a ssage to Julian through the chat function, Valyr soon made his way out of the inn before heading to the Blacksmith Guild with the help of one of his movent skills.

Ttang! Ttang! Ttang!

Hearing the sound of hamring tal echo out from the workshop before him, Valyr briefly adorned a wry smile as he thought about how he'd just slept for the past three days.

Fortunately, after recalling Julian's words from a few days ago, those thoughts swiftly disappeared from his mind, prompting him to enter the man's workshop and make his presence known.

Whoosh!

"You're finally back!" At the very mont the young man flared out a bit of his aura, Julian briefly stopped what he was doing and turned around, only to place his hamr to the side before looking at Valyr with both glee and concern. "Where have you been?"

"The inn," replied the young man with a wry smile, which made Julian briefly look back at him with a hint of confusion.

Then, after a bit of silence, the man let out an awkward chuckle. "Now I feel stupid. When I didn't hear anything else from you these past few days, I thought you went sowhere. I should have asked one of my staff to check up on you."

Though he was amused by the situation, Valyr didn't want to rub any more salt on what was basically an open wound. "And I should have given you a heads-up. In any case, I wasn't expecting myself to fall asleep for three entire days."

"Three days?" Julian pondered over it for a bit before nodding. "Makes sense. After all, with what you've told , you've spent most of your ti in the inheritance awake."

"Speaking of the inheritance, did you share the information with the other people in the guild yet?" asked Valyr, recalling that Julian had ntioned it to him at so point.

At those words, Julian rely smiled. "I've only given them a little taste of it, yet they're already wanting even more. I plan on giving them more of it over the next couple of weeks, but I would appreciate it if you help out in that regard."

"I don't mind." Valyr nodded. "It's not like I'm that busy anyway."

Nodding back in response, Julian changed the topic of their conversation to sothing else as he returned to what he was doing. "About your request on your companions' whereabouts, I've obtained a response from the military yesterday."

"According to them, they're currently on a special mission given to them by one of the higher-ranking commanders," continued the man. "If they end up successful, one of your companions would be promoted in rank, allowing them to do much more."

"I've heard that." Valyr nodded, telling Julian that he'd gotten that information from Wells already. "But where are they exactly at the mont?"

"Hard to say," Julian glanced at Valyr for a bit as he flashed a wry smile. "They're deep into orc territory right now. However, I might be able to give you an answer if you give more ti."

"There's no need." Recalling how relaxed Wells' ssages were when he talked about it, Valyr decided not to pursue the matter any further, shaking his head in response.

'I should reply to Wells after this, though.'

"Well, that's more or less everything I have that needed your presence," said Julian after that, placing the tal he'd just been hamring into the furnace. "So, what do you plan on doing next?"

"Hmm…" Looking at Julian's workshop for a bit, Valyr rubbed his chin as he briefly thought about how he could now go to the Spearman Guild if he wanted to.

'Now that I think about it, I could also head to Clossbay to retrieve the next part of Jekyll's legacy,' thought Valyr as the mory popped up in his mind.

Eventually, after looking around for a bit more, a certain thought surfaced in his mind before taking root, festering into sothing that he should do sooner or later.

"Are there any private workshops in the guild I could occupy for the anti?" Faintly smiling at the thought he ca up with, Valyr looked at Julian before asking.

"I'm pretty sure I could get that arranged for you." Pondering over it for a bit, Julian nodded before looking at Valyr with a faint smile. "Are you going to forge sothing?"

"Just to get back to the swing of things," said Valyr with a smile of his own. "If you want, I could help contribute to the guild's quota on the weapons for war as well."

"But of course. Any help we can get at this ti is highly appreciated. " Julian gazed at Valyr with a look of gratitude before taking out the tal he was working with out of the furnace. "I'll have one of the staff mbers take care of the workshop situation so you could get back to forging as soon as possible."

"Alright then."
