"Cat...m-y," Nuonuo chirped, showing off a goofy, toothless grin.
Bae Chi was so annoyed that scolding her was out of the question, but not scolding her also felt impossible. Finally, with a stern little face, he gave her a lollipop and sent her to play on the side.
When Li Yinuo saw the lollipop, his focus seed to teleport elsewhere. He completely forgot about Chi Enen, who was on the video call, and promptly wandered off to enjoy his sugar with full dedication.
"Uncle Huo, let take over." After wrapping up Nuonuo’s situation, Bae Chi grabbed the phone back from Huo Yi and said to him, "I’m heading over there to call my woman. Can you keep an eye on Nuonuo for ? Don’t let her run off, okay?"

Finally, Bae Chi picked up the phone and walked toward the corner while grumbling, "Chi Enen, didn’t you say you’d call ? Why haven’t you?"
She promised to call him, but he ended up calling her instead—scamr!
"I was just about to call you, then you called first. I’ll call you earlier tomorrow."
"That’s more like it." Bae Chi finished speaking and suddenly glanced at her, "Woman, are you outside? Where’s The Neighbor Old Wang? He’s not with you?"
"He..." Chi Enen hesitated for a mont before briefly explaining how she accidentally locked herself outside.
When Bae Chi heard the story, his already strikingly familiar little face tightened into a distinct ’why are you like this’ expression, his eyes practically screaming at her in utter disdain. "You actually managed to lock yourself outside? That’s way too stupid! I’m seriously questioning how you plan to survive the next few days."
"..." Being disrespected by a six-year-old genius left Chi Enen mildly frustrated.
Then she heard the serious little voice from the other end of the video call, his handso face looking somber as he instructed, "Point your phone’s cara at the password door so I can take a look."
Chi Enen knew he was a prodigy, so she followed his advice and aid the cara at the door.
"A little closer, bring it closer."
"Like this?" Chi Enen moved closer, nearly pressing her phone against the door.
Bae Chi squinted at the magnified image of the electronic door on the screen, studied it for a few seconds, and then said, "Alright, Woman, you can stop now."
Chi Enen pulled her phone back.
He continued, "Try using your fingerprint to unlock it."
"Mine?"
"Yes, yours. Go ahead and give it a shot. I’m pretty sure The Neighbor Old Wang must’ve added your fingerprint information in."
With how this kind of lock can’t rely solely on a password, knowing Old Wang’s personality, he absolutely would’ve registered Chi Enen’s fingerprint! Even if, in the future, Chi Enen and Nuonuo weren’t living with him, he’d still have their fingerprint access recorded.
Just as Bae Chi predicted, when Chi Enen tried, the door actually unlocked.
Li Beijue really had added her fingerprints!
Chi Enen wasn’t sure what to feel.

After the door swung open, Chi Enen pressed down the flutter in her chest and said to the smug-looking Bae Chi on the other end of the call, "Alright, Baby, your father’s asleep. I’ll call you back later. I’m heading in now."

Bae Chi was not amused. Just as he was about to speak, he realized the call had already been abruptly ended by Chi Enen!
