Chi Enen listened carefully to her words, then looked at her with an extrely composed expression and asked, “So what?”
Scarlett initially thought that after hearing her out, Chi Enen would be shocked, flustered, or even jump out to stake her claim. But instead, the other woman rely displayed an attitude as if asking, “You’ve said so much—what exactly are you trying to convey?” This instantly made Scarlett feel as though her throat was blocked, and she couldn’t utter another word. “…No particular reason, really. I just feel an especially close connection to you, older sister, so I couldn’t help but share my little secret.”
Could it be that she had misjudged, and there was no substantial relationship between this woman and Brother Beijue?
But then, why did she still feel like the Old Master and the Old Butler’s attitudes toward this woman were strangely peculiar?

Surprising everyone, before the others could arrive, Chi Enen suddenly extended her foot to trip the young maiden, then released the grip on Scarlett’s arm she’d held earlier to prevent her injury.
In the next instant, the girl, who had been pretending she’d been tripped, fell hard to the ground with a loud thud!
Her knee slamd heavily onto the ground, releasing a wave of sharp pain that brought real tears streaming out. Scarlett’s pretty face was now written with disbelief, her gaze turning back toward the upright-standing Chi Enen as she spoke, “You—”
