Chapter 1219: Chapter 1219: Soone’s coming again
Not sure if it’s a psychological effect, but the bone in the left leg started to ache sharply.
Cold sweat beads appeared on Chi Enen’s forehead as she tried to move and sit up. A simple action, yet it took her three minutes to accomplish it. Any small movent of the left leg was excruciating. By the ti she managed to stand up, the clothes on her back were already soaked through with sweat.
The effects of B1. ether had just worn off, leaving traces of the dication in the blood. As soon as she stood up, she felt dizzy, almost colliding with the waste piled alongside.
Fortunately, she managed to steady herself at the critical mont, avoiding making any noise.
She glanced down at the ti on her watch; it had been more than two hours since she left, and she had no idea what was happening outside. She wondered whether the tasks she assigned to Butler Huo were arranged properly.
Chi Enen touched the small tal protrusion on the watch used to adjust the ti, a newfound determination in her bright eyes.
Once she got what she needed, she would press the button.
She had already coordinated with Huo Yi on this side. Once she pressed the button, they could imdiately get her precise position and rush over to her location.
What she needed to do was protect herself as best as she could until they arrived.
Furthermore, before leaving, she and Huo Yi discussed the possible places she might be taken to, stationing several teams at potential spots to wait. As soon as she pressed the button, they would respond imdiately.
However, Chi Enen glanced around the dim room, feeling a bit of a headache.
She didn’t know where she was or if it was within the area they had previously speculated.
The entire room felt sowhat like an abandoned factory… Could it be that Scarlett’s people brought her back to the place where Liu Tingting was previously held?
Chi Enen thought it seed like it but also not, as she couldn’t leave to see the outside, relying solely on so discarded materials piled in the room, offering no clear indication of her whereabouts.
She was still trying to figure out the outside situation, wondering if Scarlett would co when suddenly she heard footsteps approaching from outside.
Getting closer and closer…
She didn’t have ti to think too much, quickly lying back down, pretending to have not regained consciousness…
Just as she closed her eyes, the door opened with a click.
A man reeking of alcohol walked up to her, roughly shoving her. As Chi Enen was still ‘unconscious,’ she could only relax her body. Her back banged hard against the sharp edge of the scrap copper behind her, sending a stabbing pain from the coccyx, almost causing her to cry out in pain, but she managed to suppress it thoroughly, not even fluttering her eyelashes.
“See, I told you she hadn’t woken up. The Big Boss did not believe and insisted I check. I saw her twenty minutes ago. What’s the point? Just so woman. Even if she woke up, with so many of us here, what are we worried about her escaping?”
“Didn’t we let her slip away last ti…?”
“Wasn’t that different last ti? That woman had a gun and brought a few van loads of people; it couldn’t be helped. Now she’s alone and drugged; what’s there to fear!”
“Alright, alright, stop complaining. Once the boss arrives, we’ll have completed our task and can enjoy ourselves with the money.”
The angry man turned cheerful, “Haha, you’re right. I’ve been short on cash recently, and if I don’t have so money soon, I’ll be utterly destitute.”
