Chi Enen discreetly avoided her, saying calmly, “You’ve seen it now, you can leave.”
Lin Nai was caught off guard, almost choking on her words. She forced a smile on her face, took a deep breath to maintain her composure, and awkwardly said, “We haven’t seen each other for a long ti; I have so much to say to you. I wonder if you’re free.”
Chi Enen saw her eyes constantly glancing towards the inside of the villa and knew what she was thinking, frowned slightly, and directly refused without giving Lin Nai any face, “I’m not free.”
Lin Nai was truly embarrassed this ti, silently cursing Chi Enen for being ungrateful, and said rather unhappily, “I don’t think you look that busy; you should have ti for a chat, right?”
Chi Enen had seen her share of thick-skinned people, but soone as insensible as Lin Nai was rare. She pressed the corner of her mouth and looked even colder, “No, I’m very busy! If there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading inside.”
Seeing that she was about to leave, Lin Nai hurriedly called her, “Enen!”
Chi Enen stopped in her tracks, as if expecting her to call out, turned around, and looked at her with calm, indifferent eyes, saying nothing, waiting for her to continue.
Lin Nai was embarrassed by that look, as if she had been seen through, but her thick skin managed to cope with the brief embarrassnt soon enough, “Enen, um, could I trouble you to tell Young Master Li that I’ll stay at this resort tonight.”
Not waiting for Chi Enen to answer, she quickly continued, “I have a comrcial to shoot here tomorrow; moving back and forth is too troubleso. The comrcial is also for Yun Teng; do you think you could ntion this to Young Master Li so I can stay here?”
“You know, won tend to get puffy eyes if they don’t get good sleep. My constitution is the type that bloats easily, so Enen, could you please help tell Young Master Li?”
Chi Enen waited for her to finish before calmly speaking, “If you feel you can’t shoot it, I can talk to Yun Teng and have them find soone else for the comrcial.”
She didn’t say this out of spite towards Lin Nai, but purely from a work perspective.
Lin Nai is now a female artist, and although an artist’s work differs from other jobs, it’s still a job.
The most important thing in any profession is being diligent and dedicated.
If Lin Nai, as an artist, can’t even manage that, then there’s no need for her to continue.
In such a high-paying profession as an artist, many would like to replace Lin Nai if she doesn’t want to do it; soone would take over imdiately.
Chi Enen purely said this from a neutral standpoint, but it sounded different to Lin Nai’s ears.
